First of all I want to say ShivIka are the only couple that screws my brain. Sometimes I don't know how to react. After seeing yesterday's epi there is nothing inside my mind except them. ShivIka aur unka benaam rishta, jitna humare liye confusing hai I am sure usse kai zyada for them.
Let's start with humare billuji ( I miss this so much ) . The great Shivaay Singh Oberoi who has everything naam khoon khandan ( which is all he requires acc to him ) still doesn't want Annika to leave why? For him NKK is very important coz of the way he has been brought up. That is what keeps everyone in the family together. He feels that his family is together coz they r ' oberois ' aur sab ek doosre ke bina to reh sakte hai but is naam ne bina nahi ( we saw this in first few episodes ). Then he meets Annika who has none of these but still is happy and satisfied with her life. It doesn't matter to ki kiski surname kya hai. He wanted to break her not because he hated her or something but because she challeged his belief. Deep down he wanted to be proved wrong ( I feel ). And she did prove him wrong till that daksh thing happened. Also, shivaay has seen a lot since his childhood and done a lot to keep his family together. He wouldn't say a word against his bade papa jabki wo usse kuchh bhi sunna te rehte hai. He has a mother who always thinks of 'unke ghar ka waaris' and not his son. He is the great wall for his family and a superhero for his brothers. Whenever there is a problem everyone just looks towards shivaay to fix it. He also feels that it is his sole duty to protect his family ( Coz no one really does ). He feels that he is a superhero but he is NOT. He feels that he has no right to show his weakness, but the fact is he IS weak. And his source of strength is Annika now. I don't think his love for Annika is selfish, he took a bullet for her but definitly not above his family. For him his family has come before his happiness and Annika is his happiness. But he should not forget that Annika too is a human. And can't neglect her coz of his duties. He can't even see annika cry but he still doesn't know that HE is the one who hurts her the most. Which he will soon realise after prinkus wedding. Yeh benaam rishta uske liye bohot important hai, but unfortunately is rishtey ko naam dena bhi bohot important hai. It surely is going to be tough for billuji. And as far his NKK theory is concerned that will take time coz it is he who can change it not Annika ( I think it should be related to his family past or something).
Annika, humari sherni. I truely adore this girl. She is a fighter and is actually strong. She knows how to be happy in all circumstances. Saahil is her only weakness. She meets this super khadoos SSO who tried all possible ways to break her but itna aasan nahi hai billuji. Then she started working in his house and met this shivaay who loved his family. She also grew very fond of this family coz she never had one. And the her life was shaken coz of this forceful marraige. She was shaken but not broken. And then daksh kidnapping her and clearing of all the MU took place. After that all see saw was a caring shivaay. I feel she didn't leave the house then coz she knew about Tia and didn't want her to harm this khidkitod family. She slowly grew fond of this shivaay and fell in love with him. She knew from that day itself that he won't except her. But this new caring and protective shivaay always confused her. And somewhere she was lost in this world of shivaay. But now was the time for a reality check. She no way was gonna give away her self respect. Yesterday she was just bang on and asked all the right questions. Yes, she loves shivaay but she is strong enough to leave him if she doesn't get what she deserves. I love you girl. Shivaay knew that what she is asking for is not wrong but he himself is so confused, he can never leave her coz she is his strength but can't answer her questions. But this can't stop annika. Yes this benaam rishta IS important for her too but it can't be kept benaam forever.
