Chapter Five: Rain, bangles and jealous heart
The next morning
Tia and the oberoi women were gathered in the hall deciding on the jewelleries. "O my mata tia, try this you will look beautifuls in this. Pinky suggests as she picks up a gold and diamond studded necklace and gives it to tia to try it. Tia picks it up and wears it then looks in the mirror to see if it really looks good. At that moment dadi spots shivaay passing them, busy typing on his phone. "arre billu! as she calls, it catches the attention of all the ladies towards shivaay.
Shivaay looks at dadi and comes to her, he bends down to touch her feet as she gives him blessings. "shivaay you also sit here and help tia in selecting the jewellery jhanvi suggest but shivaay politely declines "no badi ma, I can't stay, I have a very important meeting to attend and he starts to leave.
Not having seen anika since morning was making him irritable and he couldn't be bothered with these useless things which were somehow enjoyable to these women. He turns to leave but stops short as he sees her arranging the flowers in a vase. Once again, he was mesmerised by her, her hair moving gently as the wind caresses her tresses. Shivaay keeps staring at her and forgets that he was leaving.
Feeling like someone was looking at her, anika lifts her head up to see shivaay staring at her and behind him all the ladies were still busy enough to notice him. Anika doesn't give him the satisfaction of seeing any emotion on her face which would indicate that she is affected by his mere presence. She raises an eyebrow at him and gives him a tashan wala look and then continues working.
Seeing this shivaay smirks wickedly as he turns to the ladies. "actually, I just got a message that the meeting is postponed so I'll help tia on selecting the jewellery he deliberately says this loud enough so that anika hears him. He goes to sit beside Tia and looks up to see anika in his line of vision and looking at him. He smiles and says "c'mon let's try this one and he never breaks his eye contact with anika as he picks up a random jewellery box and gives it to tia.
Before tia can do anything "come here I'll help you and tia turns her back to him. He looks at anika and sees that she was looking at them. He then brushes tia hair to her other shoulder and slowly makes her wear the necklace and as everyone is busy deciding it the necklace is good or not, shivaay looks at anika who was holding the flower vase too tight. Seeing that shivaay was looking at her she resumes the work and doesn't look at him. Shivaay then suddenly picks up a few bangles and says "give me your hand. Tia keeps her hand in his and waits as he makes her wear a set of bangles.
Shivaay takes one bangle at a time and teasing anika, he slowly slips them on tia's wrist. When he looks at anika again, she dumps the flowers on the table angrily and leaves. Shivaay grins in triumph and stands up to leave. "arre billu, where are you going?
"dadi it's time for my meeting and shivaay leaves smiling to himself.

"how dare he ? what was he smiling like that for? anika talks to herself loudly in prinku's room as she paces right to left in front of the bed. "He is such a shameless person. Just because of a challenge he is using tia she paces some more and then suddenly stops her walking "but... why am I getting angry.(she points her finger to her chest) Why am I even thinking about him ? she wonders and she finds the answer soon. "is it ... because I was jealous, it shoudn't have affected me if he touched her anywhere or her wrist as he slowly slipped the bangles on her wrist... urgghh. He's making me go crazy. He was smiling because he won anika drops on the bed with sigh and starts thinking about ways to get back at him.

Later
OmRu, Prinku and anika were sitting and chitchatting in the garden. It was a pleasant day. Time passed and no one realised that the dark clouds were covering the sky now. Tip tip...
Everyone felt the water drops falling on them and before they could react it turned into a downpour. They scattered to find shelter but anika stayed. She had always loved rain; the sound of drops falling on the ground was music to her ears.
PLAY MUSIC BAARISH HALF GIRLFRIEND
Anika stood up, welcoming the rain with open arms and a broad smile.
She looked for everyone and called prinku to join her. Prinku hesitated but shrugged and joined her. Both friends started jumping in glee remembering the times when they were young and used to play so much in the rain. Anika called om and rudra too but only rudra came and om didn't.
"this is very childish anika and you shouldn't do this, you all will get sick. Om says as he declines to join them. "don't be ridiculous om, there is no age limit to play in rain and be childish for once in your life, it's like you are turning into shivaay anika chides him and Rudra pulls om with him into the open as he gets soaked in the rain and they all jump and play in puddles of water reliving their childhood.
Unknown to them shivaay stood under the shade as he looked at them, especially her. Anika kept playing and enjoying unaware of the intense gaze shivaay had on her as he stands arms crossed lost in her beauty.
He stood there in a trance which was broken when tia came to him n held his hand, he turned to look at her but then looked at anika.. tia tried to take him in but he held her hand and freed himself of her hold still looking at anika. Taking steps towards her, he descends the few steps there are to step into the garden.
Still anika hadn't noticed him approaching towards them. Shivaay stands behind her and as she turns she comes face to face with him. Anika's wide grin disappears and she keeps looking at him as he gets soaked under the rain. Anika is startled as he raises his hand to tuck her hair behind her ear. Shivaay's touch lingered behind her ear and gave her a burning sensation against her cold skin due to the rain. Slowly his fingers moved, caressing her nape as he held her there and pulled her close to him.
With his other hand he griped her shoulder and then his fingers moved down to her wrist, caressing her arm all the way. His hand lands on anika's waist as he pulls her closer, their bodies touching and anika was shocked when he started to move, dance as they did the last time in the garden.
Anika was sight to behold, shivaay looked as water lingered on her lips and then she bit them often, not aware that she is doing it. For anika it's no one but shivaay and her existing at the moment and they keep dancing with no care about the rest of his siblings catching their moment. As she kept looking something changes in shivaay's expressions, his eyes twinkle as a child's does when he is about to do something, well of course, childish. Shivaay removes his hands from her and now just holding onto her hand he turns her to join the rest of them as he starts jumping in the muddy puddles of water.
Stunned as everybody was to see him there, they stooped jumping but shivaay said don't stop. They had a lot of fun and it was a surprise that shivaay joined them but they don't ponder much upon it as pinky, jhanvi and dadi come asking them all to get in. as everyone leaves and anika starts to follow them, she feels a grip on her wrist and turns to see shivaay holding her back. Worried that the elders might see them, she tries to get free but it is no use as shivaay doesn't budge.
Dadi sees them standing in the rain for so long and calls them in. shivaay replies that they are coming as he keeps his tight hold on a struggling anika. Anika again looks back to see that everyone is gone but before she can turn, she sense him as he moves behind her.
Anika froze as she felt multiple shiver run down her spine, wondering if they were due to the cold or due to shivaay being so close to her. His unpredictable behaviour was very dangerous for her heart. In anticipation she stands, waiting for his next move and her body jerks forward as she feels his right hand slowly touch her back and as his hand moves so that it rests on her stomach.
Even from behind he could feel that she was breathing hard. For shivaay this was the perfect moment to make his intentions crystal clear if she still hadn't got the message. With his left hand, he moved her hair away from her right shoulder. He leaned closer to her now exposed neck as drops of water trailed down tempting him, challenging him and he accepted it as his lips grazed her neck. He felt as anika inhaled loudly. Waiting for a few seconds and savouring the moment, shivaay tightens his hold on her stomach as he pulls her back flush against his body. He hears as a whimper leaves anika's lips as their bodies touch, scorching her through the layers of wet clothes. Finally he presses his lips to her neck and he places a kiss. Anika gasps and closes her eyes. Through the pitter-patter of the rain she could only feel him, only hear his loud breathing down her neck, only feel his lips touching her skin, so hot as if branding it and just like that she feels his hands slip from her body and he brushes past her, into the house leaving anika standing there, eyes closed under the rain.

As it happens, everyone gets sick except anika. "didn't I tell you anika? we'll get sick and see what happened. om sneezes not able to say anything further. "why aren't you sneezing like crazy? om asks sounding accusing. They were in the sitting area as the elders took care of the sick people. Rudy was as usual being a dramebaaz, om and prinku kept sneezing every time they opened there mouth to utter something. "I'll go and make some kadha, it will help anika suggests but shivaay declines " no, that'll take time to work, I'll bring my medicine box, shivaay says and leaves.
"fine do whatever you want anika says annoyed that he takes so many medicines and noting natural.
Shivaay and his siblings take the cold medicine and go to their rooms to rest. After that, anika also goes to prinku's room. Now that she was alone, she was thinking about what happened, it was so different to see shivaay like that, all romantic and so forward about his feelings but he is getting married, how can he even think about coming close to her. Anika sighs as she keeps thinking about shivaay and decides to get some rest herself.
Prinku was in the bath room so anika decides wait for her to come out before she can get ready for bed.
As she was sitting by the bed, she hears a noise. Looking around she saw no one and again gets lost in whatever she was thinking. Again there is some noise and anika looks back to see shivaay coming in through the window. Stunned anika was not able to move for a few seconds. "shivaay she hisses whispering, "what are you doing here? she asks as she reaches him and tries to push him back towards the window. "I came to see you, shivaay smiles and stumbles. Anika looks suspicious "are you drunk? she scrunches her nose but there is no smell of alcohol on him, she realises he is high on medicine. "shivaay you need to leave, what if prinku sees you here? anika worries and pushes him again but he doesn't move. "what.. are you made of stone? she grits frustrated.
Shivaay had a naughty smile on his face as he holds her wrist and pulls her close, her struggles forgotten, anika keeps staring at him. "you were jealous today, weren't you? he asks as he caresses her cheek with his other hand. Dumbfounded, anika stutters "no..no i.. Wasn't jealous but she gets angry when he only smirks at her as if he doesn't believe her but obviously. Anika thought, who would believe her if she didn't sound convincing to even herself. "I am not jealous of tia, do whatever you want I don't care but right now get out of this room and saying this she tries to get out of his hold but one look at his face she stops her struggling. Shivaay looked angry, furious even and as he looks at anika being frozen , his face breaks into a smile and he watches as anika sighs in exasperation.
"what do I do now? anika says as she realises he is too far gone to take her words seriously. Anika panics when she hears the shower stop and realises that prinku can be out any minute.
"get out now shivaay or prinku will catch you here with me and anika stops midsentence as she sees him leaning towards her shoulder and resting his head there. Anika looks for a way to hide him. "what do I do, hide him under the bed? In the almirah... no he is out of his mind and will never keep his mouth shut. Then anika looks out the window and sees the pool beneath. She makes shivaay look at her and asks him "do you know how to swim? shivaay nods his head in affirmative and anika smiles "good then, I hope you enjoy your swim and saying this she pushes him through the window into the pool. There is a loud splash and she sees as shivaay struggles to come out and then stands in the pool looking at her.
In his senses, he looked angry and before he could shout at her , anika closes the window on his face and turns to find prinku coming out of the bathroom.
"what was that noise anika? prinku asks her, looking suspiciously at anika but anika feigns innocence and says "what? i didn't hear anything
After prinku is settled for the night, anika sneaks out of the room to look for shivaay. She did realise that he was already sick and on top of that, she threw him into the pool.
As she reached the pool, it was dead silent and then not a few seconds later she found herself trapped against a pillar and stone singh oberoi. "you threw me into the pool shivaay's voice was dangerously calm which was a reason for her to worry about what he was going to do next. "no one dares to even look me in the eye or say something to me and you threw me into the pool his face inches closer. "I know I pushed you into the pool, you don't have to repeat it and who told you to come to see me, anika says confidently. "no one tells me what to do and now I'll show you what happens to people who dare mess with me. Saying this shivaay picks her up and throws her into the pool.
Anika screams and fights her way to the surface of the water. She sees shivaay standing by the pool, his hands crossed over his chest , " I hope you enjoy your swim, he says mockingly and leaves her in the pool.
