The next thing I knew, he had slammed his lips to mine and nearly knocked all wind from my lungs.
I hardly had a moment to react before he pressed his tongue to the seam of my lips and, at my grant of access, delved inside my mouth. My arms reached up and tangled around his thick, strong neck. In an instant I had pulled away and arched up into his broad chest, moaning in the contact of body heat against my own, before I drew back into his lips. I could nearly feel the slight burn of the wine as it rolled off my tongue and seeped down my throat with every push of his tongue against mine.
He pulled away and I instinctively moved along. He holds my face in his hands his thumb drawing circles across my cheeks. I find myself unable to tear my gaze away from him. He looks at me expectantly.
"You've been drinking I say lamely.
He barks out a laugh.
"Expect you to say something totally abnormal
"I am perfectly normal. I mutter, hackles rising, " it is you who has a weird, crazy, abnormal, screwed out brain
"And a heart that can't beat without you. He finishes and I blush promptly. "Anika the only reason I let you go was because I thought that was what you wanted. I thought if you had the choice you would chose...that monster...that Rohit. I love you. It took me a long while to realize it, and when I did I thought you wouldn't accept it. Do you remember that conversation we had with mallika? You had told me you didn't believe in love. So I thought I would give you the security, the freedom of sleeping peacefully. No, don't accuse me of thinking of you as a gold digger. We both know that's not what I mean he adds, hurriedly placing a finger on my lips as I start to speak. "I thought I would give you my heart without letting you know about it. When my mom was rude to you, I didn't know how to deal with it. I just used to freeze. And when Rohit left, you looked like someone had died.
"You froze me out; you wouldn't even look at me. I frown.
"Is that why you were so sad? he asks his tone hopeful. I nod a yes and he crushes me into another deluxe sso hug.
"You don't know how much that means to me Anika. When Rohit was leaving you didn't even let me talk to you...
"I didn't know how to explain why I chose to stay.
"I thought you were already regretting staying. I couldn't get myself to search for him sincerely. I saw you try to search for him. Saw your desperation, but I hoped would be enough...now I know, that's not how it is, is it? We both weren't in the same race were we? he looks at me hopefully, tugging my heartstrings. I nod and he continues, "when I couldn't see you mourn him anymore, I finally tracked him and he placed a...condition to meet you. I frown. If it is what I think it is, Rohit is dead meat.
"He asked me to let you go.
Dead Rohit.
"So you did I complete softly, looking at him, "You let me go, told me you wanted a divorce. You sent me away knowing it would probably make me hate you.
"Anika, I didn't want to he groans, his words seem tortured and he grasps my hands tightly his nails digging into my arms.
"You don't know how Ive been the past few days. It killed me to see you walk away. I love you. You have to believe...
I shut him up as affectively as possible.
I kiss him. Mrs.Shivaay Singh Oberoi style.
Shivaay pov.
She kissed him and the world fell away. It was slow and soft, comforting in ways that words would never be. Her hands rested below his ear, her thumb caressing his cheek as their breaths mingled. She ran her fingers down his spine, pulling him closer until there was no space left between them and he could feel the beating of her heart against his chest.
She ruled him and he wouldn't have it any other way.
As she pulls away he looks at her as she seems bashful all of a sudden.
Her next words set his heart racing.
"I love you Shivaay.
I kiss her forehead and keep her close.
"We should go back to the Oberoi mansion I say, not giving her a chance to change her mind.
"Take me home Shivaay. She says and my heart clenches.
I lean down and whisper into her ear.
"And tonight I'm going to make you mine. Completely. She blushes and says, "Just as you become mine.
After all, she was my takkar ki pair.
Ps.An 18+ update and a cheesy epilogue...at a hopefully very close point of time in the future
