It is actually a bit ambiguous as of now. Anika HAS spoken to him of being without parents and all, so he knows her parents are no more.

But he doesn't know about Anika and Sahil not being biological siblings...that Anika was adopted by Sahil's parents when she was a child.

We really need one episode having only SHIVIKA, wherein they both discuss their past,shivaay's health problem,anika's past ,all MU and finally a love confession!
