So I actually liked this epi more than I'd expected to after the reading the WU...

The opening kitchen scene was adorable and the perfect mood lifter to begin the epi after the horrendous ending of the previous one vis a vis Daadi ke painful lectures.

Rudy's running commentary as he teases Shivaay's obvious frustration with being unable to play head chef in the kitchen for a change😆...without being overt about it, Anika was given the honorary position of taking Shivaay's place in the trio...by donning his usual blue hat...I would be curious to know who asked her to put on the hat but knowing the show is never interested in continuation scenes😆, I'm just going to presume it was Rudy😆...and a newly "needful" Shivaay will raise no objections to her standing there in his stead.

No, Shivaay's main problem was all with how the food was being cooked by the whole "incompetent" group😆...the way he was having a meltdown over Anika trying to mash the butter with a ladle/kadchhi😆...haha I enjoyed one of their typical nok-jhonks after many days...what a RELIEF to NOT see Anika ke aansu...I'm gonna enjoy today's reprieve😆...the whole dynamic was fun with Om giving Anika advice on how cooking > business for Shivaay😆

Even Pinky was relatively subdued today...lol...I was shocked that she didn't again unload on Anika instantly when she saw her in the kitchen...the taunt was pretty mild by usual Pinky standards.

Then the entire Oberoi family circus scenes...lol plenty of Lulz today...Tej can easily write a book..."How to literally sell your kids without blinking"😆...no lack of subtlety there for sure...also pretty hilarious that the supposed rape victim Svetlana can so calmly discuss Om with Tej wondering about whether he will say yes to the Chaddas ki beti😆

Speaking of Chaddas ki beti...the hot topic of discussion today...and in the entire epi, not even a single close up shot of her 😆...Sonia ki baatein toh bahut hui...shakal ek baar bhi nahin dikhi😆...

Whenever Shivaay jumps in to play mediator, it really amuses me how 'reasonable' he sounds in the middle of the insane levels of ludicrousness going on...Tej and Chadda calmly discussing dealing their kids like chips on a gambling table😆...the mol bhaav happening openly...lol and Shivaay calmly jumping in saying there's an option C...let Om and Sonia get to know each other😆😆...there was a moment where Tej's bullishness drew such a sharp contrast with Shivaay's calm mediation attempts...lol...Tej was just not interested in ANYTHING reasonable...he wanted a hard yes...not even a no...lol

Random things were jumping out at me...like the flower applique thing on Rudy's shirt seemed to have a matching counterpart on Soumya's shirt😆...

So today was Rudy's day to be responsible...and everyone got to have a little ideological debate around that too...Shivaay ofcourse instantly first trying to dismiss Rudy as a kid, Om telling him he's not ready for marriage...but Rudy calmly reaffirmed his decision because he thinks it's a pretty small price to pay for calming the troubled waters right now...ever the peacemaker Rudy...but ofcourse just like him to conveniently pretend he didn't marry Soumya...lol isko bhi apne bhai waali amnesia problem hai...

Anika seems unable to help herself no matter how many times she's slapped down...perhaps it's hard to even blame her now...yesterday Shivaay declared that this is her house😆...and she seems to have some strange compulsion to jump in to defend Shivaay😆...she specifically spoke up when everyone was shooting down Shivaay's POV and asking him not to interfere...and ofcourse perfect timing, she jumped in to reply to Pinky no less😆...stumbling over the "Maa...maaf keejiyega" but then pressing on to make a case for why Shivaay is right to advise Rudy as an older brother...I was actually surprised that Pinky still held her tongue for a few seconds before lashing out at her...lol given her recent track record, I expected her to go off on Anika instantly...

Today again Anika got called an outsider over and over again...but she was unfazed...she must have felt, sab apna ideological point rakh rahe hain, toh main kyun nahin😆...lol cuz she again pushed back at Shivaay when he gave in to Rudy...telling him that he knows this isn't right...invoking his honorable side...and then getting an NKK advert in return...lol...there was one solid line from Pinky in there that Shivaay himself would have mouthed in relation to ANY situation but that of him and Anika😆..."Zameen aur aasmaan ko kabhi milte dekha hai? Rishte tabhi nibhte hain jab standard same ho"

But jab itne saare AUR crisis ho deal karne mein toh apni hypocrisy evaluate karne ka time kahaan hoga Shivaay ke paas😆

I was about to post on the previous thread and ask you if I should make the effort to watch and tolerate the torture in installments or should I just see the next 10 episodes in a go..

@bold gives me the strength to take the risk in the evening..😆

LOL I say watch it abhi cuz itnaaa saara family drama in one go dekhogi, tab bhi dimaag ka dahi ho jaayega...so installments mein thoda better hai...waise bhi this is just phase 1...roka wala family drama will be repeat of this as they all go around shouting at each other😆

Frankly it felt like a more IB-like epi today...especially on the Anika front...it was mainly the way they were messing with her character that was putting me off...aaj she was more her usual self (NOT crying) and thoda sa nok-jhonk bhi shuru mein...this I can watch.

Watched episode again, not bad actually. The first scene had the glimpse of the earlier IB, so yes totally loved it.👏 It was definitely needed.The family drama come sin full force on this show, not a single resting episode for these lot. There is always someone facing a crisis.

Also, like someone said in the other thread, Anika was in character, she felt the need to say what was needed and thought was wrong. But just annoying how she gets totally shutdown and humiliated. Anika needs to explode one of these days after all that she has been through.

And please can we please get a meaningful scene of Shivika, monday seems long ago and I need my fav couple dose.

The kitchen scene in the beginning was a teeny tiny relief...I guess a throwback to the breakfast date epi with a huge change in the dynamics!! With Shivaay grouchily seated on the couch while 3 mediocre to good cooks (aka OmRuSa) and one terrible cook aka his wife all set to begin their master chef session!!😆

Liked how Om was giving kitchen gyaan to Ani about how her hubby was actually a Gordon Ramsay and disliked mistakes in the kitchen!! Again reminded me of the past epi when Om gave tips to Riddhima on touchy topics! And what was Ani doing to that butter!! Lol!!😆 But all good things in IB come to an end and Pinky and Tej had to interrupt and spoil the moment!!

And while Tej continues to sink to new lows with openly manhandling his wife in front of his potential in-laws to be (sickening!!🤢), what sort of weirdos are the Chaddas man!! Would any father give off his daughter to such a crazy family!!😕 And Dadi was just giving her permanent heartattack expression and standing mute!! Why doesn't she ever say a word to her sons!!

Also, why is there such a hurry for these people to marry off their kids?? I mean I thought Dev-Prinku Roka was ridiculous!! But that seems like a epic love story compared to the time that Om got to bond with Sonia Chadda!! Seriously, I pitied the Obro brothers today!! With all the NKK and paisa they have they have to barter themselves off in the name of family business!!😔

Today Rudy was the star for me...I mocked him yesterday for pulling a Shivaay and making stupid decisions but today I could actually see why he did it!! Watching both his parents and his brother fight and his family break like this while he stood there helpless must have made him feel terrible!! His words too showed how much he was hurt and how much cared!! He is the true heart of the family man!!😳

And Shivaay...I have to give it to the guy for being sane too, even though his talk on NKK left me doing facepalms. He was cool and level headed even when Om was throwing tantrums in front of the Chaddas!! And later while his uncle and aunt fought too...

As much as I wished that Ani hadn't opened her mouth, I think she has no control as far as Shivaay is involved ( atleast this is what I am saying to console myself!!😆 )

And AniRu were having a convo when Pinky interrupted and started with her bully-on-the-playground crap!! I dont have the energy to talk about her remaining BS or her sickening dialogues. 🥱God, when she started with her whole Rishte tab nibhte hain jab standards same ho' I rolled my eyes so hard, it was good I wasn't wearing my contacts...otherwise I would have needed surgery!! Hypocrite!! Speaking of hypocrites, Tej was also quick to say that Ani is an outsider, when yesterday he was all for 'Shivaay is Anika's now' jaap!! I think even Shivaay wanted to shut PiTe up badly that's why he decided to finally agree to Ru, who seemed to have made up his mind anyway and was giving quite reasonable explanations for why he agreed!!

And Ani darling, I love her to bits but were my ears playing tricks on me because I heard her address Pinky as ma before shifting to Aunty ji!! Like seriously!! The woman who talks so much about mitti and dhool wrt to you, she might just have a pedology degree or something and you address her as Ma!! My head hurts from all the face palming I have been doing!!🥱

Somu seems to have forgotten about her engagement to Rehaan and the fact that her Roka is over??! Or did it actually happen?? I forget!! No worries, I think the CVs have too😆...Anyway, Ani sees her crying over her Mangalsutra in the precap and Shivaay seems to see the video as well..I wonder if they confront Rumya about it!! But then how is the Roka even happening!! Well, we'll have to wait and watch I guess!!

1. Did Tej cry for Swetlana too?? You know the magical tears of your true love...she could barely walk in the gunshot epi and now she's donning killer heals and walking her her walk again!! And no one blinked an eye at her sudden recovery from her paralytic state!!
