Chapter- 2

(Rudra's College, Morning)

Rudra felt afresh as he entered the college- a new girl was going to come in his life, last night he had dreamed of Jacqueline Fernandes performing with him at the next year's fest. It was as usual in the parking space. Some couples holding hand-in-hand; few nerds in a serious discussion about the effects of demonetisation and then there were assholes upto their usual work.

So, the assholes- yeah, a bunch of foolish jerks who eve-teased girls. Rudra never understood the need of eve-teasing the girls; when so much more could be gained from pampering them, praising them- though sometimes they were false praises. Yet he agreed that being too close to them could be dangerous, but where was the need to get them so close, just be with them till you enjoy.

He looked here and there for a moment when suddenly someone called him out.

"Ruddy!! Come with us yaar...wahan canteen k pass wale playground mein bahut hungama ho raha hai", Chubby & Nitesh came running & practically dragged Rudra back with them.

As soon as they went near the said area, Rudra spotted 3 guys misbehaving with a girl. He mentally rejoiced at the thought that now he will save that girl 7 be a hero...So he jumped in & tried to drag & pull the boys, but in that process his elbow bumped on the victim girl's arm & she fell down with a shrill shriek. Rudra & the eve-teasers stopped & stared at the fallen girl who was rubbing her arm while sitting on the ground.

Then a pair of hands helped the fallen girl to stand. A pair of angry eyes glared at the Rudra. The newly appeared person gently asked the scared girl to go & call the Dean. The eve-teasers were pretty irked at this sight; they pushed away Rudra & attacked the new saviour, who was actually a girl.

The girl grabbed the wrist of one of the guys who was trying to slap her and gave a huge punch on his nose while signalling the other guy to come and fight with her, gnashing her teeth.

Chooke dekho dil mera

Tumhe dil mein apne bhar lungi

Par chhed ke dekho tum mujhko

Main tum ko nahi chodungi

And another punch on another guy's face.The other guy tried to grab her from behind, but she majestically used her leg to make him fall down and hit him on his sensitive parts. The first guy dragged her to a tree branch nearby to strangle her but man! She was a fighter; she broke the branch itself and made the guy fall down.

Skirtein saadi, raat dopeheri

Darr darr ke nahi chalungi

Candle jala ke sandal dikha ke

Mar mar ke nahi chalungi

The whole college had started to assemble there now. The scared victim girl reappeared with the Dean who rushed back again to call the police. By now, the saviour girl looked too angry. The second guy again tried to make her fall down but what balance she had. First she balanced herself and then made the guy fall down. The guys found it tough to get back as she had hit them really bad.

Meanwhile she looked at Rudra whom she thought was the most coward out of the group.

"What? You don't have spine?"

He still looked on mutely to make sense of what had transpired in last few minutes.

"Go or I will break your bones..."

He couldn't react. Perhaps, a lot of people couldn't. They looked on to see this little form of Durga Maa.

She had given him enough chance. Perhaps, he was scanning her; how mad these guys were. He wanted to warn her about the guy who almost came to hit her but...

Jis duniya mein maa-behenein

Rishtey nahi gaali hain

Uss duniya se maryada ke rishte saare todungi

Kadam mila ke dekho to

Main sath mein tere chal dungi

Par chhed ke dekho tum mujhko

Mai tum ko nahi chodungi

She held the hand in which the guy held a hockey stick to hit her, spun it around and hit him on his back with making him fall down. Rudra saw everything with wide-eyes: her speed, her presence of mind and her physical strength but before he could grasp these events a huge punch blinded him too.

"If you stare at a girl again..."

His nose was bleeding. His fault- he didn't know. He was only trying to help in the beginning, and then how come, he was considered the one at fault!! Meanwhile, the Dean had arrived with the police on the scene and the girl was talking to them. The police patted her for her bravery. Even Rudra had liked the way she had taken over, but what about her hitting him. HIM! An Oberoi! He didn't know how to react. First instinct, get her expelled. Second, she has guts to hit guys, and not only some xyz guy, but Rudra...Rudra Singh Oberoi!! Third, what did she think all guys were?

Suddenly the Dean pointed to him and the girl looked a bit worried. She made a cute face: Of course, a horrifying personality under the cute face.

Next moment Rudra was in the Dean's room...

"The girl is a bright student, Rudra. She came on her own merit. And, I would never expect anything of this sort from you of all. You come from a reputed family. Watch it or I might have to schedule a conversation with your father."

Shit! That would be the last thing he could ever want. Any scolding related to studies or life in general to him always lead to long altercations between his elder brother and father, leaving his superman worried about his success being the reason. He couldn't let that happen again. The best part: his side would only be listened to by his brothers, who anyway trusted him, after all the hullabaloo- so no use. Hence, he found it best not to argue and forget the episode. And wait---this was the supposedly New Dream Girl of their class!! And he was expecting some slim, sexy, sweet---Forget everything, she nothing near these...What more, he very well knew what would be the reaction of his brothers once they hear everything...

"Sorry sir", Rudra apologised lastly, & left the office.

He started for home after that. There were no important classes that day. And he felt upset on being scolded for something he was not a part of. After all, Rudra Singh Oberoi, the apple eye of his brothers, was not even used to getting scolded for his own mistakes.

(Evening, Oberoi Mansion)

ShivKara laughed uncontrollably till tears appeared in their eyes on the description of the new supposedly' Rudy's dream girl. They started mimicking the convo of the previous night-

"S for Short"

"O!!! S can mean slim and sexy!!"

"And tere paas T ke bina b tadi hai!!"

"And Rudra ke paas H ke bina be hotness hai..."

And both the brothers again went into fits of laughter.

"Has lo! Has lo! Yahan ek ladki ne faltu mein mujhe maara, phir Dean Sir ne mujhe bekar mein achha khaasa lecture diya, aur ab aap v has lo...'", Rudra whined.

His fake tears and crying voice were making them laugh even more; however, they controlled it so as not to hurt him. As they got a little normal, Shivaay noticed the bruise on Rudra's face.

"Hey wait! This was done by that girl?"

"No! This was done by you", and Rudra rolled up his eyes.

"Whaaat! How dare a girl hit you like this? Let me talk to the Dean, I will..."

"Shivaay, relax, let's first know what the whole story was- no point in simply destroying someone's life, just because we can."

Rudra narrated the whole incident.

"Fhat the wuck!"

"What a girl dude! Isse toh tujhe pakka dosti karni chahiye!"

"Kya!! O, jiss ladki ne mujhe pure college ke saamne maara, jiss ladki k wajah se mujhe Dean Sir ne chaar baatein free fund mein suna diya, aap kehe rahe ho main uss ladki se friendship karun...NEVER EVER!!"

His bhabhi smiled from behind, seeing him in full dramatic mode. She had come to call her husband for their dinner date but seeing how the littlest Oberoi was, she felt that it will be better to quietly go and postpone the plan, and when it came to the Obros, even she didn't mind that knowing that her husband would soon make up for that.

"Arre Rudra! Shivaay ka protection ka bojh thoda kam hoga..."

The artist brother laughed at his own joke.

"Om, tere jokes itne bure kaise ho gye!?"

"Bhai ka asar, Shivaay, samjha kar..."

"Samajh toh main gya, ki aap logon ko apne chhote bhai ke liye koi sympathy nhi hai. In fact aap dono toh uss crazy girl se impressed ho. Aaj main anaath ho gya. Hey bhagwan! Ab mera kya hoga!!!"

"Shut up Rudra!!", shouted both the brothers in unison, making Rudra come up with a puppy face and a sad pout. The elder Obros exchanged a Offo-our-chotu-brother look .

"Ab ye hoga ki hum kitchen mein jaenge aur main tum dono ke liye khana bnaunga"

"Wah!Wah! Rudy, tere drame ki wajah se I'll also get Shivaay's special dinner...!"

And the cry-baby turned to the cool-baby.

"Main na kehta tha, mere dukh mein bhi logon ko sukh hi prapt hota hai"

"Jai Rudra baba!! Ab aapka drama khtm ho gya ho toh hum khana bnane aur phir khane chale??"

"Chaliye superman"

All three laughed and started going towards the kitchen.
