Right and wrong of ACP Ranveer

I liked ACP Ranveer earlier because he was the only one who hated Oberois and nearly put Shivaay, Tej and Shakti in jail. I always wanted someone who will be stronger than Oberois. I had no problem of him scaring Om and Prinku in many ways to get the truth as that's what police do to catch the culprits. I also loved him because acc. to Anika's curse I thought he will be the person controlling Shivaay using Om and Prinku. So till here I liked ACP. The day he started manhandling and forcing Prinku for marriage to torture her I started hating him but still not hating him much. If he tortures a girl like this he can easily be suspended if seniors get to know about. He can threaten her of getting all Oberois in jail by opening all their cases and even put her in jail. He can tell a lady inspector to most of her questioning and even manhandling in the process of getting all the truths out. While handling a case against a woman, a lady inspector is necessary to be appointed which ACP is not doing. I hope he is not butchered further.

PS: This post is also especially for the ones who thinks I only hate Shivaay for being and not Ranveer for being wrong😆. I liked Ranveer but not from the day he started manhandling Pink and forcing her to marry him. I can't like him misusing his power like this.

The way the show is handling ACP's character makes so little sense that I can barely take it seriously. The day he entered the IB world made for the best IB episode till date, in my opinion.
I also enjoyed the fact that he was out to avenge his sister's death by taking on the Oberoi clan. The story had immense potential for drama, angst, complicated romantic feelings and of course, opening up the hell within Om's soul.

But the way the story has shaped up since ACP's revelations of his sister's true conditions make little sense. First of all, I do not understand the logic behind his decision to marry Prinku. He could punish her in a hundred different ways if he thought that there wasn't enough proof to send her to jail for her sins.

Why would you want to marry the person who destroyed the life of your beloved sister (and by extension your own life as well)??? Wouldn't it be a punishment for himself as well to see this person and be around this person all the time???

And as for Priyanka, I have little sympathy for this character as they have portrayed her in the show. How is she so free of guilt??? Why is there no self-chastisement in her??
She showed small displays of guilt when the accident track started and then as soon as ACP lied to her about finding his sister, she was free of the burden of guilt? And now that she knows the woman is in coma because of her, she is still not trying to deal with the consequences of her irresponsible actions?!

If that is not a spoilt brat, I don't know who is? How do the CVs expect us to feel sympathy for this woman when she acts in such a thoughtless way all the time?

Anyway, thanks for making this post. I totally get your confusion and disappointment.

I am not having sympathy for Prinku either. That's why I mentioned other things he could do instead like threatening to open all the cases of her family and putting her in jail and telling lady inspectors and constables to handle her roughly to get out the truth. A male policeman can't handle a woman roughly acc. to rule. In Aakrosh movie, Akshaye and Ajay asks for a lady inspector to come when they had to arrest a woman. In the same way, the ACP can make a high ranking lady inspector to handle Prinku and scare her.

Actually, in their desperation for cliched tracks, they make all the characters behave like old aunties... marriage is the beginning and end of their thoughts.
Don't even think of realistic tracks in connection to an Indian tv serial... but then I am someone who has stopped watching the show for a while now, and only watch PriVeer scenes for Aayush, so maybe I am a little biased against saas-bahu dramas. 😳

No one makes posts on Ranveer so I made this because I wanted discussion about his right and wrong things. But are u really liking cvs for butchering ur favourite Ranveer? I think Prinku before 2 years incident was a bitchy girl who put other people down who were not up to her level n treated her friends like dirt. So she may have told Om to let her drive even though she did not had any license. But after dat incident, she completely changed herself becoming the opposite of her former self.

My gripe is what is ranveers plan? How exactly does he intend to punish her? What's this torture? He won't harm her. So I don't see how he benefits from marrying her?

Gul is butchering his character to show her cliches love story. Ranveer can simply put her in jail. Then wen Om comes to meet Prinku then till dat media comes to abt Prinku-Om scandal n Oberoi family reputation will be affected. Ranveer can do all this without looking like an abuser and a criminal. But Ranveer is only doing stupidity now.

From the way Ranveer has carried on about this marriage thing, reminding Priyanka about the so called marriage, I don't think he really intends to marry her.
He is already ruining Priyanka's day/night every time he mentions the word "marriage" to her.

I don't think he wants to put Priyanka behind bars as well, he probably wants her to understand the value of life and the moments of life his sister is missing out on due to the accident. Like he said in the second phone conversation scene - when Priyanka complained that he is making her life hell, his reply to her was " yahi toh mein chatha hoon, tumhe zindagi ki kimat ka pata chalei".

I think he is just trying scare Priyanka by portraying himself as a bad person. That is why when Priyanka told him outside her college that she knows he is not a bad guy, he was quick to answer I saved you because it is my right only to torture you not because I care about you. Ranveer does not want to become a good guy in Priyanka's books. There is no love between them either.

Having said all these, I agree it does not suit an ACP to harrass anyone like Ranveer is doing but what is stopping Priyanka from reporting him? Legal actions can only be taken against him if there is a report.

Ranveer could have done a lot more evil things to Priyanka, blackmailed her into a lot more bad things, could have used the MMS to force her into marriage,or ONS.

All he is doing is bringing the topic of marriage in front of Priyanka and unless I have missed one of Priveer scenes, I can't remember Priyanka telling Ranveer anytime "sorry I rather go to jail but I can't marry you".

I only watch Priveer scenes and after last scene of Priveer, I want CV's to move Priveer story forward, either get them married and show their post marriage life or make them fall in love with rest of Oberoi's against them.

If ACP really intended to marry Priyanka to seek revenge, marriage would have taken place along time ago.

Hey Avantika! This is a very interesting take you've got on Randhawa's possible motive behind this insistence on marriage and you are absolutely right. Priyanka has never shown that much of courage as to tell him she's rather go to jail. Her view on the matter has been that somehow the whole thing of her running over a woman will just go away. First she hoped her brother would make it disappear. And when Ranveer came to her with the truth of the matter, she hoped he'd make it disappear. So yes, I would love to see her grow a conscience through this ordeal he is making her go through...putting herself in the shoes of another.
Your comment has really set me off on another trail of thought and now I am really excited to see how they move this track forward.

And a fellow PriVeerian! I know we don't have an AT for the pair yet but we do have an ACP AT where we meet to discuss the possible ramifications of the PriVeer scenes. Do drop in if you feel like it.
