Re: driving scenes...haha yeah I've quite enjoyed those too...but ab Anika ghar mein hai toh different type of fun scenes bhi ho sakte hain...let's see what they come up with...

Re: NKK...lol well I guess he won't throw his usual level of NKK taunts at her for a while atleast...ab if NKK resurfaces, it will be in a different way, with a more conflicted Billu not able to dismiss Anika so easily.

Waise the thing about Shivaay-Anika's equation is that they are both each other's exception against their strongly held beliefs...in Shivaay's case, NKK is everything for him and Anika is the very anti-thesis of all that he's believed in all his life...still he is helplessly drawn to her, she is the only one who gets away with calling him all manner of names, making fun of him...she mocks him, his strongly held beliefs and he's still fallen helplessly in love with her.

And it's similar for Anika...For a girl like her, who so fiercely clings to her self-respect and her independence, this guy is the anti-thesis in every way...his belief system is 180 of hers and he leaves no chance to taunt her with it either...and even as she gives it back to him word for word, she can't help but be drawn to him either...he is the one exception she can't help but allow herself...it goes against her very grain but she is unable to fight it...just like he is unable to fight it on his end.

This is funnily reminding me of the line from that movie, "He's not that into you"..."You are my exception"😆

It's almost as if they both recognize that they are each other's greatest Achilles heel, the exception to all norms😆

@AY Those paras have some great insight into these two...

This is the thing that attracted me towards this couple - The conflict within & I complain the loudest when this is missing and I rejoice the most when I see it 😊

This is not the story where opposites attract but where they are attracted to people who are opposite of what's 'ideal' or 'perfect'..

Some things that I love about this couple:

- There is this primal calling from within(not the attraction😳) .. This weird itch for the other person.. This need..

- They have implicit trust or faith on the other person, even though, they have never and mostly are never going to discuss this verbally 😊 - ignore Billu ka amnesia 😉 - I still feel His heart did trust Anika 😆..

- Behind all those Tashan-wali fights, there is a sense of ownership.. But I feel what is missing is this sense of belonging.. 😊 And they need to work on it.. They need to realize that the other person belongs to them.. I have no idea if this makes any sense 😆

- Even when, they both fight with their own firm beliefs and egos, the other person is still their 'go-to' person during trouble - which is just kind of hard-wired now 😊

- What I find endearing is this urge for the other person's approval/attention - the way their eyes just lit up when the other person praises them (mostly indirectly 😆) for e.g. Anika praising Shivaay's eye or Shivaay calling Anika cute/bholi/achi.. In such scenes, I just love watching the other person's reaction..

Till now, they have actually focused a lot on Shivaay's reaction to Anika.. I wish they concentrate on Anika's reactions as well for a few episodes 😊 It was fascinating to watch a confused Anika after the Gayatri incident or during her mini-realization 😊

Jokes apart, absolutely agree with your points...ofcourse, we are looking at the larger picture here beyond the usual inconsistencies and lulz liberally present in this show😆

Beyond all that, your points are totally apt for what this story is...I really loved how you put it...it's not about opposites attracting in so much as two people being attracted to the very opposite of what's ideal or even let's say "logical"😆...what these two share defies all logic...even their own logic😆

There is, as you said, a weird primal attraction towards each other against all odds...they rant and rave against it internally but always lose the battle😆...there is definitely a need that they can't seem to fight...and then that ties into your point about a strange sense of ownership they feel on each other...which comes out both as their fights as well as fierce concern for each other...

Also liked your point about belongingness...I think that will take some time because they can do everything else hiding behind their tashan but the major roadblock for this is their EGO...which prevents them from fully submitting to each other...they will ultimately have to bow to each other's ego before they can let themselves belong to each other...the final step in a story like theirs is about humbling themselves to that extent...and that is a tall order...especially for Billu😆...aur Billu ki dekha dekhi, Anika bhi nahin jhukti😆...it's a different matter that he is many times humbled by the extent of her compassion, selflessness...but that actual level of humbling he needs to find within himself is a journey...and he will need her along the way.

haha so true about the praise too...they are just GIDDY when the other person praises them or AGREES with them...such a thrill for them, secret smirk and all😆...it's endearing how badly they crave each other's approval/acceptance and yet so stubbornly deny that they crave it😆

Yes, they usually focus on Shivaay's reactions cuz he's the bigger namoona😆...I would love to see them give some more insight into Anika's mind as well without rushing through like they did during the Daksh engagement and all.

So many wonderful things today.

A contrast of sorts...

When Tia was kidnapped, he became "upset"...the KKN woman who stood by his side like the perfect trophy (and the multi-crore marriage deal she represents) was kidnapped because of his business deals. He coldly and calmly filled the briefcase with cash and headed out, with his trademark ninja hair stunt to rescue his moneybags. Tia was thrown out in a sack, and Shivaay became distraught. A Khoon Khandaani Naam female has perished...what a real loss. He quickly ran over to her side, collapsed on his knees, and simply stated "she's dead"😆...None of his gelled hair was out of place. He did not even bother to get her out of the sack just to double check😆

With Anika's kidnapping, he's distraught...panicked at the thought that Daksh will do something to her. He runs and drives maniacally to save her. He is the one covered in sweat, his brown jacket gone, as he furiously tries to break that glass. His eyes are bloodshot, his hair woefully out of place, his clothes dripping wet as he's desperately trying to get her to wake. Double checking, triple checking, quadruple checking to make sure she opens her damn eyes. He's crying at the thought of her possible loss...

I hope the next arc of this storyline is that Shivaay realizes his love for her... it sure seems like they're attempting to gear up to that. Om's dialogue also comes into play with this silly kidnapping "Royegi woh aur aansu tere bahenge. Chot use lagegi per dard tujhe hoga. Hasi uski rukegi per dam tera ghutega. "

...they already showed an inkling of that yesterday where Shivaay asked himself why her tears affected him so in his heart, and that it felt "weird"😆. I would think this scene would be rather pointless if they didn't have Shivaay later reflect on his actions and feelings when it comes to Anika. Especially as compared with his reaction to Tia's kidnapping.

MU is cleared, so Daksh needs to leave...that whole psychotic act was truly mindless.

I would think after this experience, plus her shaadi drama, that Anika should be going through some sort of sadma...it kinda makes no sense for nok jhoks to start so soon after such serious circumstances...but that's Gul for ya 😆

@NW: haha love how you've pointed out the contrasts...they were pretty striking today...his reaction to the possibility of losing Anika was on a whole another level...and may I say, it's a welcome change to see a Shivaay so mussed up and distraught...his oh so perfectly gelled hair all in disarray😆

I'm not sure if they will move fully towards him realizing his love...I get the sense the upcoming phase will be more heavy on his GUILT...it's going to weigh heavy on his heart and mind and Anika's words will hit him harder.

That said, they will probably keep a running list of OmRu's love gyaan commentary on the side to keep giving Shivaay stuff to think about...I do expect him to continue to fight to deny...he's always been like that...plus I think until the Tia situation doesn't get cleared up, they won't show him realizing or admitting.
