OK first of all I want to state that it is my personal view
For the past 3-4 days I was finding the character of Dadi very illogical, but today she broke her own records, now I am actually unsure if she does love Shivaaye and Anika at all like she always claim
We had all expected that dadi will scold of reprimand Shivaaye for being so abusive and inhumane for to an innocent girl. But she did nothing, there was no reaction at all before and after hearing the truth of their marriage, I agree that she wanted Shivika to be together, but this doesn't mean you will force such a threatening marriage onto the girl.
I had nearly lost it when she said "Ab tak tune galti ki hai Billu, kisi suhagan ka mangalsootra todne ka paap mat kar", well I am not commenting on the removal of Suhagan ka mangalsootra thing, people do have huge sentiments attached to the marriage symbols, but since when did mentally torturing a girl, threatening her for her brothers life and then forcefully marrying her to marry become a "galti", I mean which religious or law book has she read where removing the Mangalsootra was worse crime than doing the stuffs which Shivaaye had done
Now she knows that neither of Shivaaye or Anika want to continue this marriage, she is still trying to bind them together. Marriage according to Hinduism a connection of two souls and according to law it has to be done between two individuals in complete sane state and with free will, here neither of these criterion have been fulfilled, so the marriage is neither a marriage as per Hinduism nor as per law, so what Mangalsootra rant is she doing (in fact even Anika had removed the sindoor which is equally important symbol), is forcing two people to do something which they don't want really love? Would she say the same thing if ACP married Prinku forcefully or had she said this if Romi was successful in marrying Rudra?
OK chalo she feels that this is the complete marriage and it should be completely followed, so now she asked that since Anika is the bahu of the Oberois, so she must stay in the Oberoi Mansion till the divorce. Is there any rationale behind this? Why does she want the girl she loves so much with a man who so brutally tortured her? Please show me one book of law or Hinduism which states that a girl should immediately start living in her in laws place after her marriage? In ancient days most of the girls went to their in laws place years after marriage (they specially had a ritual known as "gauna") as the marriage happened in childhood. Even after gauna, there is no reason that a woman can not return and stay at her father's place
Now coming to the reception, she never told Shivaaye that he should announce Anika as his wife, Shivaaye had been continuously saying that he doesn't believe in the marriage and that for the world Tia is his wife, so what on this earth did make her think that Shivaaye will announce Anika as his wife? So fine Shivaaye didn't announce Anika as his wife but named Tia, so wasn't it the duty of Dadi to stop Shivaaye immediately and tell everyone that Anika and not Tia is their bahu-Something which she had been claiming for hours? (Actually this point is valid of Om and Rudra too, if they disliked this wrong announcement so much, they should have immediately spoken against them, but at least they scolded SHivaaye later to slightly compensate for their mistake), but Dadi went and scolded to Tia for posing as Shivaaye wife. OK Tia might very wrong but at least in this particular case, the mistake was completely SHivaaye's (or at least 80% was his), but she didn't say anything to him. It was only after Shivaaye came forward himself, did she say something that too more as a debate and less as a scold
Finally she asked Anika to share the room with Shivaaye, like really, this was the cheapest thing she could have done. OK we know that Shivika is the final pair and maybe dadi wants them together, but what about Shivaaye? He doesn't want to take forward this marriage, and Dadi clearly knows that Shivaaye does what he decides to do, he would have married Tia had she not run away. So what if he actually divorces her tomorrow? What kind of an image will Anika have in society- "a girl who married her boss, spent a night with him and was divorced the next day", yes Anika doesn't care about societal mentality but isn't the duty of Dadi to look that the image of the girl is not being tarnished?
She is officially the most irritating character of show now for me, (even more than Sundari Bua who used to irritate me the most),I specifically mentioned her name in the title, Please dadi live up to your name, Kalyan karo hum sab par aur chaar dhaam yatra ke liye chali jao
P.S. I am happy that Anika denied staying with Shivaaye in the same room today, had she stayed with this I would have officially quit the show. I hope that she avenges Shivaaye by doing something substantial and not by childish Nok Jhonk, their relation has passed the level of "Jhagra", now it is criminal
