Great post Preet. Dadi is really a biased person. She just wants Anika as Shivaye's wife regardless of their feelings. No sane or idealistic person will force a girl to live with her abuser. This is show and Shiv is hero but in reality the person who can go to this extent can torture a girl to worst extent.
I will really say now Pinky and Tej seems better than dadi as only Tej was angry with Om and called it his mistake when Om took drug whereas everyone else was busy blaming themselves. Shiv and daadi were just indulging Om. Janvi had no word with Om. I think dadi was very much invested in Shivaye and his wedding (as he is eldest grandchild and mostly they r the people fav of their grandparents) and will not be that bothered for OmRu. Now to I feel she should not take any interest in OmRu.

I agree, she always discusses Ishqbaazi and stuff with her grandsons, which was strange as however modern you become generally you maintain some decency and don't discuss your love life with your grandparents, especially in a house where a son has had a past with girl friends and mistresses. But even if for a minute or so we accept this dadi's behavior, the current track make no sense, you are either modern or traditional or else you simply are a hypocrite, I will say dadi comes in the third category.

And yes that Khandaan ki izzat thing, I forgot, she is a khandaan ki izzat now, how come? When no one in this world knows that she is the wife, she is no where khandaan ki izzat.

Marriage is not something only to bring to people close, it is also to give a social recognition to their relationship (not according to religious books, but practically), when she didn't let give her that recognition what Khandaan ki izzat is she speaking off

And her reaction is typical unche khandan ke log type "Bete se GALTI ho gyi"
I don't know why the hell she is forcing evey f*****g decision on her everytime. Let her live yar! She is an adult. She knows how to handle her life and her stupid namesake HUSBAND.
