I just watched yesterday's episode and I must say that after like weeks I liked an episode. All the characters (excluding Anika) behaved normally and in the way they ought to behave, or else during the past two weeks all the characters were behaving totally different from their regular characteristics
Although the way, Anika had been shown in the past, we expected her to be vocal against the injustice which was caused against her, but then we can excuse her mistake as she was still in the shock of his brother getting kidnapped and near dead, probably she was also afraid that if she tells the truth, Shivaaye can attack her brother again.
But the reactions of all the other family members were perfectly apt and they behaved logically and sensibly despite the shock they got
Pinky- She always wanted her son to marry a rich girl who could bring a big business prospect to her and thereby increasing his chance of becoming the heir of the family business. He Shivika marriage was the biggest shock for her, as it meant the shattering of her dreams. Since money was most important thing for her, she couldn't find any other reason except the fact that Anika did this marriage for money. Plus she had faith in Anika (that has been shown many times), which was broken by this marriage. The anger which she vested out on Anika was exactly what was needed, Pinky had become extra sweet earlier, finally she is back to her real self
Tej-- For Tej, just like for Shivaaye, business and family reputation is the most important thing, he realized that what Shivaaye did was probably the only option to save the family from humiliation of the run away bride. He appreciated the fact that by this act of Shivaaye. Plus somewhere he was also happy that Shivaaye did not marry Tia, as he had always wanted Omkara to be ahead of Shivaaye in business, ShiTia marriage could have brought Omkara on a backfoot
Jahnavi-- Although her behavior was a bit strange, because she was never shown to be too close to Anika, but probably we are to assume that just like Pinky, she too considered Anika very trustworthy and sincere and hence her being a part of the marriage drama did hurt a lot
Dadi-- I think that the person who is most affected by this marriage (after Shivika and OmRu) is dadi. Dadi had been the biggest supporter of Shivika Ishqbaazi and she trusted both Shivaaye and Anika to the max. This particular instance gave her a shattered image of the two people who were the best for her and therefore she couldn't restrain herself from scolding both of them.
I am happy that finally she got to do something except giving the Ishqbaazi sessions
Rudra-- Rudra never wanted Tia to be married with Shivaaye, he had some soft corner for Anika and loved to see them together, hence despite the shocking revelation and the fact that the entire family was tensed, he couldn't hide his happiness
Om-- For Om, his brothers are his life. It has been always shown that it is always Om who chides/stops Shivaaye from doing something wrong, but this time his brother had done something which was too wrong to be omitted and hence he shouted out the most on his brother, he was in the state of disbelief. The fact that his brother gave a precedence to his business over such an important family issue, just like his father made him all the more angry
Shivaaye-- I think Shivaaye stole the show yesterday. I was hating the either too insensitive or too scared attitude of Shivaaye. I had loved the Shivaaye we had met in the first few episodes who preferred family name to everything, who was not afraid of anyone but still at the same time cared for others (like he had helped Gayatri getting up when supposedly she had fallen while trying to poison him), but lately he became a guy who was like a tamed dog of Anika doing whatever she said and her just teasing him (I would hate if some of my employee behaves the way Anika did, it was heights of unprofessionalism that she was showing) and then we got that insensitive Shivaaye who just kidnapped and used a paralyzed boy for his own benefit.
But yesterday, he marveled, he was happy that he was able to save his family repute and didn't bother if the way was right or not, but when he got to know that Tia was abducted and was badly hurt, he was shattered and he did care for the girl he had decided to marry. Finally a man who cares of everyone, but the order is "His brothers- Rest of his family- Himself- Rest of the world"
Finally Obbros-- The way OmRu supported Shivaaye despite being angry on him for his act, made the day, they will be together no matter what happens 👏 👏 👏 , they can disagree but not distance
I hope we get similar characterization of the characters even further, and with Tej and Pinky back to their original Avatar probably we might get dysfunctional family back
