so, yes i do agree with everything you have said! i do have an issue with the way the makers portrayed things on screen and the way gul glorified - bad is the new good (if she had not said that, i might not even have minded the episode. for me this shows the stark reality of india, where people are ready to wear modern clothes but have dicing thoughts towards women, women being the main culprit here). yes, it is a drama but some kind of social responsibility is expected. i also see a lot of, i am assuming teenage girls and have seen a lot of posts in this forum today, going ga ga over how amazing the epi was and how hot he looked etc...That is what the main issue is- if gul said, yes we will address this and convey the right message, i would have probably enjoyed the epi! her writers making it sound like this is some new kind of romance has left me appalled!

but that being said, was this needed in the storyline? yes for sure! but would have preferred it without so much manhandling especially after the way nakuul emoted so beautifully with his eyes. but may be subtlety doesnt work for indian audience, not from there so i cant tell and as i said seeing some very teenage posts, it looks like women like watching all this on indian tv😲 ) but yes, the plotline was great, execution could have been handled more responsibly. nakuul and surbhi though, man what do i say - they were so amazing with their ever changing expressions 👏! take a bow, i am ready to believe the sso redemption track will begin soon - probably with sahil, shivaay meet

Absolutely correct!!! that is why I said if you are looking for a hero to adore and a champion with a cause you are looking at the wrong person ... you should be looking at Annika
Shivvay's journey will start the day he knows Annika has been right and he was so ... ooohhh!!! sooo wrong
I don't want to even think of his redemption if it were in real life

That journey lasted only upto when Annika got engaged. And now he has understood that Annika dose not share the same feelings he has for her. No time to woo her and he wants her . I dont know what he was thinking getting married to Tia and having Annika as the side kick? He knowes that Annika will not agree to it. So he grabs the chance.
I dont accept him to mellow down. And Annika will leave the next day. And then I am hoping for a Nayi sooch.

SSO has claimed from the start to be no different than he is now. What we witnessed, I guess, was the new one was slowly emerging but has gone back into hiding because of the present circumstances. That is Shivvay - the Great Wall around him and he hides behind it because it is easier. To a certain extent I would call him a coward in addition to being a bully and a brut.
If you are looking for a brave hero - Look towards Annika. I do not have to point out the many qualities I am sure you are all aware of them already.

He was never a Prince Charming or a Hero( not for me..) But atleast he was Human who was ready to learn from his mistakes.. 😊 For e.g. Women empowerment track when he realized how upset his Mom was with his behavior, he stopped behaving rudely with her and is nice with her now.. He did not scream at Anika when she did not realize how grave Om's situation was and was more interested in proving Tia was wrong.. For me, Dev wala incident was one where he learnt something and changed.. 😊
Agar aaj woh ek baar bhi hestitate karta, I would have been chalo kuch toh seekha isne..
I think my expectations are different from this SSO 😊 If this would have happened after the pool scene or before Anika started working at OM or maybe even before the Dev incident, I would have been okay.. in character.. bas ab digest nahi hota.. 😊

Family Honor, Khaandan Ka Naam and Loyalty to It. He says that time and again and we fail to hear it as anything but a very annoying statement that is getting on our nerves. He has not wavered from it in his steadfastness and yet we are shocked that he is forcing Annika like some 80's Feudal Lord of the Manor. His love extends and is limited to family - Annika is NOT family. He is immensely attracted to her and obsessed with her, to his dismay and frustration, and that he takes out on himself as well sometimes. He does not believe in Love - what love are WE ALL talking about???
His journey has not even begun ... lol. The man is a mess right now and has so many facets throwing up left, right and center that Sigmund Freud would gladly take him on as a case without batting an eye. Any major change is painful and takes time. Shivvay has a very long and difficult path ahead. To cure someone one has to first admit to being sick and he has not even done that yet. In his eyes he is perfect 😆
NKK and also his anger, I can try and understand..
Him denying what he feels for Anika due to NKK makes sense to me..
Him being angry at Anika for interfering also I can understand..
Him misunderstanding Anika due to Daksh also I can understand..
Forcing Anika to marry him also I can understand..
Bas this 180 degree turn back to SSO, I can't digest! 😊

I felt ki SSO to Shivaay journey had began already - He was growing, he was learning.. But now I feel going back to Shivaay from this current SSO is almost impossible - even if Anika files a case against him and he spends x number of years in jail 😆

The SSO seen today so resembled the SSO we had seen initially

nothing amiss...his khoon khandaan and ideologies intact

he protecting his family name...she protecting her only family

The phoenix will rise from the ashes of her relationship

i am so against violence and against female violence that it and cannot accept this part of the plot

the aggression, acceptable, the anger acceptable as it is fueled by his feelings and confused state of affairs.

today it was a difficult watch

but the gems NM and SC nailed it superbly

would love it if Anika saves Shivvay from Daksh rather then SHivvay doing that..

also would love Sahil playing a bigger role here as well

anika walking away from this temporary arrangement will be a blessing in disguise as that will make the plot more attractive to me

He used Sahil initially and now as well

and it has to be Sahil who makes him realize what ANika is

sorry cannot put words to my thoughts

I agree its frustrating...but if you have ever worked with an addict...there is rarely ever a clean break...it usually takes several unsuccessful attempts before they find success...this is the same for Shivvay! Its easier for him slip back to being the SSO he has been for years...rather than make the effort to be the Shivvay he has been but for few weeks!! Plus...show ko bhi to chal na chaiyye na!!😉

The one thing that i do have to give credit to Shivvay for was that he could have been more brutal than he was...I know, many of you find that hard to believe. But think about it, when he saw the note from TIA...he went and found some random girl...he didn't just go and use Annika...blackmail her with Sahil directly. He resorted to that in PURE rage...and ANGER...he is not rational when he is angry.

a much needed post...take a bow! I was thinking the same abt shivaay & his rage while watching the epi...and realized shivaay was fierce then as he is now...he never changed his way of thinking fr anika...just influenced fr his infatuation towards her...now ,when that infatuation got affected cause of daksh fiasco ...his true nature shud come forward ...& that's what is needed to bring the daksh's reality into light ...that quality of smell the enemy from miles away was missing somewhere...daksh played with his mind cause it was much easier fr him with tht missing quality of shivaay ...shivaay got misleaded...looked hurt...confused like a suddenly blinded man ...which fooled us as his character's " toned down" . but now that the table has turned...daksh has to face a new competitor in form of shivaay...who is more fierce than ever to establish his right on something he wants ...yes, anika will be devastated in this process...but she will also gain her part of power along with this ...who will come out of this storm will be a reformed anika...more confident,fearless ( not only for others,but for herself also) ...and more mature - who will be able to plan things in organized way rather than rushing or jumping to the problem making it worse.

Gul better give us a good daksh and shivaay face off because daksh needs this bad SSO than anika here... now that this baddie is out i expect something good for anika from this sso rather than hurt anika here

I dont know what i feel about shivaay right now...im damn confused...sometimes i feel he was in character sometimes i dont😆😭

Agree this sso was hidden inside and the final nail in the coffin to bring this bad side out was to hurt his male ego...but i never thought he will show it out to anika yaar😲( this is why i felt he was not in character) and that too threatening her about sahil when he knows he wont be able to bear it too if someone threatens him keeping his brothers as bait...

Ps- are u planning on writing Shivaays pov in your story with the sso on the show or are u writing his pov from a different story angle?
