Priti's Episode Diaries ~ 23/11 updated ~ PG 2

These words have never made more sense than in today's episode. They have had many takkar's in the past, some painful ones too. But today's was heart-breaking. And yes, both of their hearts broke some. Who can they blame but themselves though?

I for one was instantly reminded of another evening of this sort in their lives. One evening when Shivaay was so under the influence of some drugs that he showed his vulnerability in front of the woman he loved. And what an earth shattering day followed, one where he professed his commitment to another woman in the front of one woman he truly felt for. This evening had a lot of things in parallel with that one. Shivaay again was intoxicated, maybe not with alcohol or drugs this time around. A someone's mere presense did the trick. And he did show a bit of his vulnerability, when he left his family to go be with Anika, when he got lost in the dance with her, when he couldn't help but look at her all the time. And what an earth shattering event followed today's vulnerability. This time around, a bitter taste of his own medicine, Anika professed her commitment to another man. A complete circle?

From the moment Anika walked in to the house that morning, as upset as she was with a stalker chasing her around, Shivaay's words reverberating in her ears constantly, and also possibly Daksh's proposal hovering over her, whenever she saw Shivaay around, it appeared to me that she wanted to say something to him. Maybe that Daksh had proposed again, maybe that she was contemplating about it, I don't know what. But it looked like she wanted to talk to him but didn't have the opportunity. I would be truly interested to know if Anika had intended to discuss the proposal with him at all.

The dance. I am certain it will be a while before we see Shivika dance together in a manner where they are at peace with each other. Even today Anika may not have been, but Shivaay was totally lost in her. It was mesmarizing. I liked the fact that they did not attempt any serious choreography. They kept it simple, yet there was so much passion in their moves.

I do not know if it was the way it was picturized, but the way it played out, it has left me confused about whether Anika had truly intended to accept Daksh's proposal or not. I had hoped that it was not an impulsive decision and that she had intended for it to happen this way afetr considerable thought. But the way it appeared was as if she had intended to say "NO", but Shivaay's words and his actions made her accept it in the end. Errr... No Comments!

Nakul and Surbhi's acting. Man, they nailed it. Such finesse and class. I was a weeping mess by the end of it

The dance. Had to mention it again. I was so lost while watching it

Contrary to many people's view in this regard, I felt that daadi's actions were very sweet. They may never have confessed it to anyone, but daadi, OmRu are very well aware of something brewing between Shivaay and Anika. Infact daadi had asked the same thing of Shivaay when he announced his unscheduled engagement with Tia. Daadi who is aware of Anika's state of mind simeply wanted to make sure she was not acting in haste. The minute Anika reasured her, daadi was very generous and happy in giving her blessings to her and Daksh.

Rudra had been extremely upset with Shivaay proposed to Tia. I could see the same disappointment in him when Anika accepted Daksh's proposal. It wasn't one where he did not want Anika to be happy. It was one where he realized that Anika was making the same mistake that his dear brother had already made. He accepted his brother's folly, he will accept Anika's too.

Surprisingly the fact that Tej is enjoying the celebrations with the family. I don't know if he has any evil intentions, but I was genuienly happy for Jhanvi that he was having fun with them all.

Shivaay's reaction when he saw Daksh trying to touch Anika during the dance. He left Tia and walked to stop Daksh. It has be 🤣

Daksh's creepy smile every time he sees Shivaay. It gives me the jeepers. I think he is out to get Shivaay for something and is using Anika for his gains. Shivaay and Daksh are supposed to be friends, why rile up a friend like this? I don't know. I don't like the creep

Tia (Just her being in an episode has started making it a low)

Anika has a stalker after her. I forgive Shivaay for he was too hurt today. But even her newly acquired fiance did not offer to drop her home under such circumstances...? What kind of love is this?

Anika was clearly uncomfortbale being there. She would rather not have been there at all. I wish they had shown her doing some work to atleast indicate that she was there because of her work. I know it is a very small thing, but it just looked like Anika was in a mode of self-pity for no reason. I just wish she was shown talking to a few servers, or something to indicate she was forced to be there.

When Shivaay is manhandling Anika tomorrow, I hope someone tells him that she is now off limits and he cannot treat her that way 😆

Anika had warned Tia that no matter what, she won't let her marry Shivaay. Ofcourse that happened before she misunderstood his words, but does that mean she has given up on exposing Tia? I hope not.

What an episode!

If yesterday's episode was setting the stage for a game, today's episode changed all rules of that game. I wasn't sure that I was going to like today's episode, but I have decided after watching it that it was a creepily, eerily beautiful episode.

The way the initial scene played out was very symbolic to me. Daksh wanted to possess Anika to such an extent that he was willing to hurt his friend for it. The way he burned Shivaay's picture was proof of the extent to which he would go to get Anika. But the way Anika held on to the paper, clutching it to her heart proved that she will always protect him against any harm, always! I was so touched by that.

The next morning, when Anika walked in and Shivaay stood looking at her ring finger, it was as if he wanted to see it again to make sure the engagement really happened, and that it was all not his nightmare. And when he realized it actually happened, the remaining pieces of his heart shattered.

Anika and Shivaay's unspoken interactions were a pleasant change in comparison to their now very familiar razor sharp words to each other. Anika is upset with Shivaay for his bitter words. Shivaay doesn't know Anika is upset with him. He doesn't know why she agreed to marry Daksh. He doesn't know why she is avoiding him now. He wants to talk to her about everything that has happened, but does not find the words whenever he has the opportunity. He wants to question her judgement, but realizes that he has no right. Both of them were so brilliant in their performances - Anika in curtly ignoring him every given chance, and Shivaay finding more chances to be around her. After all the chances that they had, today when they learnt to listen to each other's hearts, they are not available to one another. What an irony!

If Anika and Shivaay were brilliant in their performances, it was Daksh who took the cake. Mind you, I don't understand this creep. It apparently was literally love at first sight for him, and he got obsessed with her overnight. And obsessed to a point where he is willing to hurt her to own her? He almost killed her when he attacked her the second time around. I don't get it. But judging it purely from a performance angle, Karan was brilliant. I was scared. If I had someone like him after me, I would have died of a heart attack for sure.

Daksh is dangerous. He knows that Anika cares about Shivaay. And he has to get Shivaay out of his way. He is initially trying it by demeaning Anika in Shivaay's eyes. He intends to create rifts between Shivaay and Anika because he knows that they have a special bond. By demeaning her in Shivaay's eyes, he hopes that he will isolate her and become her only savior / protector / whatever. But this ploy of his has to fail. I shudder to think what else he will do when he realizes that he is not being able to break their bond. He is certainly capable of trying to hurt Shivaay, kidnap Anika... all potential tracks.

I even give credit to Romi today. That puny girl that I did not pay much attention to in the initial episodes managed to capture my attention today. When she was revealed to be a Devi, I thought it was a comedy track. Now the joke is on me, for she made the small hairs on my hand stand up in attention. She is a psycho, and it is evident. Wonder how poor Rudra will save himself this time around. Will he be saved by SuperSowmya? My guess - Obviously!

As small as it is, I think it is worthy of mention. I love the fact that they repeat Anika's clothes. She is supposed to be a poor girl, and poor or even people in the middle class repeat clothes. Shows often forget such facts. I love how IB does not, at-least when it comes to Anika. Also, the dress she was wearing in today's episode, wasn't it the same one that she wore when the accidental back hug happened? If it is, what a long way they have come from that day!
