The Cold Shoulder "Sherwani?"Man, if only he knew how much was going to hate this 'kaam se kaam rakhne wali' Anika. Her indifference, her professionalism--what was once his only request has now become his reality. And his worst nightmare.
Somewhere through his carelessly tossed words, more bitter than the strongest espresso, and rigid rulebook of bloodlines, he lost the 'sensitive to his every emotion' Anika. The 'personal over professional' Anika. The 'I'll always go out of my way, because that's just how f**king golden my heart is' Anika.
She had begun to understand him better than himself. But what was perhaps the becoming of a...dear friend, has now regressed into a mere employee.
And it was all his fault.
"Sherwani?" she repeated, with a bit more force, snapping him out of his daze.
"4th selection, Sabyasachi." He finally answered from the compact shortlist of selections she'd given him, narrowing down what would appeal to him the most, with inputs from family and Tia.
If she wasn't Anika, he'd be quite impressed with this efficiency. But for now, he just couldn't bring himself to rejoice the monotonous employee he'd turned her into. She didn't resemble his Anika, even remotely.
Wait...his?
Congratulations Shivay Singh Oberoi, you're days from getting married and making another woman your wife, and here you are, all less than 6 feet of you completely enamored by...
...he up looked her to find her diligently noting his answer down into her diary...
...her.
The Shivaay 'I've had enough of this bullshit' Singh Oberoi finally spoke out, Well wasn't this newfound lack of self control the reason you were getting married in the first place?
A self-sentenced prisoner of your own ideals.
Coward.
It was good to be honest to yourself once in a while, regardless of how disturbing and embarrassing the reality might be.
"Shoes?" she interrupted his condescending self-dialogue. Or rather saved him again, this time from his own thoughts.
He sighed. That was his reality, and this was what he'd made of hers.
*** I guess just a random piece on what might be going on in Shivaay's head/what he might go through once he starts recognizing to some degree his feelings for Anika. How he hates it, but at the same time because of his ideals, can seemingly do nothing about it.
It'll be interesting to see how he comes out of this "prison of his own ideals" and eventually accepts his feelings for Anika.
What do you think? Let me know!
