I can see how she could be telling the truth.
When Shivvay was going to make the call while ACP Taddibazz II was accusing him he had his phone not Annika's in his hand. A man whose phone is like an extension of a body part would know if he had a phone that was not his when he was about to make the call
I THINK:
Shivvay got a phone call on his landline but Om assumed it was Gayatri on the other end because of what Shivvay said. Maybe the phone call Shivvay got on his landline was from Annika who called him to say that his phone was with her and Gayatri called to speak with him.
How would Gayatri know that Shivvay did not have his cell phone with him and had to call him on his landline? How would she also know Shivvay's number to his direct landline in his room?
But Annika would for sure
When he went to pick his phone from Annika he may have gotten the second call when he was at her place. Because it all happened in front of her she IS sure he did not do it.
You cannot be at 2 places at the same time even if you are Shivvay Singh Oberoi the Great.
While he was there she may have slipped or tripped as she usually does and he caught her.
We all know that both were very emotional about what had happened earlier during the day and may have shared an extended eyelock or something.
Bua takes picture with them both in each others arms and poof! it is made into a scandal.
Don't know why she did this but with her I guess she does not need a reason.
