nothing worth confusion hon, its just bad writing and failed execution of an actor going on holiday. it was pretty badly done actually. they seem to pretend nowadays that tej and jhanvi's issues are that of a normal indian baby boomer couple...they seem to have forgotten about svetlana. theyve actually forgotten about a lot. a) originally it was supposed to be grandpa oberoi who started the business not tej and jhanvi. b) tej-jhanvi were already married when pinky entered the household and jhanvi was already an alcoholic even before she had Om...makes you wonder why they even had children if she was so frustrated so early on in the marriage. c) jhanvi is an alcoholic. thats a very serious problem and non-conducive to running a business since long before om was born so all these convos regarding her running the business is a bit of a moot point. so honestly, enjoy the dialogues and the fact that they are even having a dialogue about this cos thats definitely super rare.

Right from the first episode (where there is a mention about a public trust fund) I had a feeling that Jhanvi was a career. Woman . I personally believe that her husband's infidelity wasn't the only reason for her taking up alcohol. If you guys remember, they have been fighting approximately since omkara was in class 3. Maybe this was another reason for their fights .

I think Svetlana is a relatively recent entry into Tej's life. Maybe Jhanvi was irritated with Tej for not letting her work and started alcohol and this just increased the distance between them and Tej sought solace in Svetlana's arms. Alrhough it'd NOT at all justified.


(But I guess she had been drinking alcohol even before shakti and pinky's wedding.. Which kind of screws up the timeline, because om was born after

What I find strange is the fact that no one discussed this for all these years. Like did OmRu and Priyanka not ever discuss their mothers education and professional life for all these years. I mean like fifths fact that both Tej and Jhanvi start the airlines could together never ever come up? I mean in my head since that happened with Jhanvi shouldn't she at least encourage Priyanka to pursue her dreams and career and maybe discuss her story?

But then again maybe like dadi mentioned she stopped asking tej after awhile so that wasn't something worth discussing. But I can't get myself around it.

Absolutely.. Infact I like your viewpoints.. But that thing is what we think jhanvi may not think like that.. You may have a particular timing of doing a thing and jhanvi may react it in different way.. And yes U r right that this marraige is going nowhere.. But the problem with jhanvi ( or I can say that with maximum indian married woman) is that she knows that this marraige is not going anywhere but the conflict lies here that out of love for her family, children and husband she can neither leave her marraige on one hand and on the other hand, she is getting irked and irritated with all these.. So I think that confidence built up in her momentarily pushed her to impulsively take this decision... It actually happens.. 😊
