Parents died when she was young i think her bracelet that she wears is the one thing that ties her to her parents i know in real it was SJ present n Sahils parents adpoted annika but his parents died and they had no chance but to live with bua.. bua tortures both and annika had to work all her life probably had to work and do school work so she and sahil could have a stable life.. her sister umm she was separated from little probably after the parents died
