And IshKara finally begin :D

Okay, so I'm a day late with this but I just watched yesterday's episode online and couldn't help making this post. For all my longing and waiting for Ishana to make an appearance, I wasn't expecting yesterday's scene to be as explosive as it was, and boy did it bowl me over. After so much randomness, I felt for the first time like IshKara have finally found a beginning. A piece of common ground where there are no lies. It's different from the graph I had imagined for their story - I had thought they would continue the lies and then drop the truth in like a bombshell to wreck whatever connection they would have made till then. THIS, however, is so much better. Because it does away with even those cliches that I had thought were inevitable for a pair like theirs. It does away with the endless close shaves and cliffhanger moments ki abhi sach pata chal jayega use. After so much discussion and deliberation amongst all of us, ultimately, IshKara are going to be built on a foundation of truth - and yesterday's scene made it very clear that the 'truth' is a very loaded category. I LOVED the way the confrontation was done, especially because of the way they did Ishana's side of the argument. She didn't get into her sob story, didn't try to make her majboori the prime focus of what she was saying and I was sold.

Main chor hoon. She said that with just the right mixture of defiance and self-loathing that I wanted to see, while standing up for herself and her conviction in her exprience of what it takes to survive the big bad world outside the Oberoi mansion. And the way she fiercely defended her family's right to be left out of whatever Om wanted to say. I think even with all his differences with his father and his detachment from his riches, Om is nevertheless much more a product of the insulated Oberoi empire than he would like to admit. And Ishana threw that fact at his face yesterday in a way that neither of the three brothers could effectively counter. They are ALL Oberoi products, in one way or another, and Om's idealism is also - at least in part - supported by the convenience of being privileged whether he likes it or not.

I loved the lines Om was given too - I thought they made sure that the argument was evenly balanced. Truth is a choice and not a luxury, he said and he had a point. Truth can also be a matter of circumstance, dictated by the roof over your head - or lack thereof - she said, and she had a point too. They're both correct and that's what excited me the most - neither of them is right or wrong and both of them are owning up to who they truly are inside. It's the most direct kind of connection I could have hoped for between the two of them. And basically, I am thrilled that this is going to be their foundation as a story.

Also, I cannot possibly end without saying this - Kunal and Vrushika were SUPERB in this confrontation. I had already seen Kunal's intensity as Om but the fire in Ishana's eyes was a revelation and Vrushika really just outdid herself there. Seriously. And boy do the two have chemistry. Sheesh.

Fab post!😛😛
I so agree. Ishkara's journey has finally begun.😳

The fact that it's now them in their true self getting to know each other. Your this line,'
'IshKara are going to be built on a foundation of truth" --- this was what I was, actually all of us were waiting for. I can't wait to see how the story is going to be from here on and how it's gonna move forward.
I'm so ready to see our Ish and Om's next phase.🤪 The khunnaswala, intense taqraar wala phase and them learning about each other's real self.😃😃😃

"Boy do the two have chemistry. Sheesh." --- I know right.. I mean how good were they..😳😳 Intensity bhi ho toh inse seekho. They legit set our screens on fire. There were sparks everywhere. The killed us all.😆😆😆
I'm can't wait to tag along with IshKara's journey. It's gonna be one helluva ride..

Awesome post as usual my jaan 🤗
You pointed out the best part of the scene. How the writers balanced both Om and Ishana's perspectives. I was really impressed with the dialogues given to Ishana particularly.
I wanna see hereon how they take the story forward. How they create a common ground for them to meet and interact? Lets see.

Totally agree with you...and the best part is that their takraar ohase has the potential to be unlike the cliched takraar phases of most love stories on television, because it's begin with a very real disillusionment with each other. VERY cool, as far as I'm concerned. And if handled well, totally awesome to watch.

Itna pyaar? 😲 😆

And yes, that's actually what I loved mist about the scene - how they both made valid points and both stood on level ground throughout. Koi one up nahin raha end mein, and they did a great job with not letting Ishana look like the petty conwoman Om assumed she is. She's much, much more than that and the way she stood her ground really made that very clear. 👏

haha I was puzzled reading the title...but this is an old post...I liked ishkara's last scene...if only gul hadn't scrapped the character due to bashing of some 5-10 fans

I think gul couldnot handle the popularity of ishkara...easy way to escape it is scrapping them...She always does this. After ipk became a success she didnot know wat to do next and came with silly comedies...I feel bad for kunal.he was very excited to work with vrushika .he even mentioned that in his livechat..when asked about his fav scene too he mentioned ishkara scene..poor guy, 2nd time his lead is getting replaced
