i think even Ishana and Saumya are well thought of...

see Shivaay is the name we use for the most commonly seen version of Shivji...the householder...ANika is synonymous with Parvati ji who was the companion of Lord Shiva...

Omkara or Onkar is the primordial sound that rings through the universe giving birth to things...again Ishana is a name for goddess Durga..the primordial Shakti who enervates all things in the universe...

in Rudra's case this differs and i think maybe the cvs were foreshadowing here...

Rudra is the angry version of Lord Shiva...and Saumya means something soft and mellow...the fact that Rudra was given this name and not Omie jaan , maybe the cvs put some thought behind it...

their names are pretty well thought about in my honest opinion...

Oh I knew that. I was speaking about the characters living up to their names. Even with the name Ishana, I never saw her living up to the name till now. Even in the precap, she practically has no right to be angry. Even Soumya isnt soumya, she is anything but soumya. But Anika in my opinion have established herself quite well and lived up to the name. The brothers live up to the majestic names they hold too. They carry themselves with grace.

I think it would have been one of the best names for a character. I may be biased since my name is from Durga ma too... But every name do not have to be modernized. Durga would have been a welcome change especially for a vengeful character
