So we know that Shivaay respects Tia and is marrying her to secure a business deal.
We also know that Rudra is a Casanova, whose undying interest in Romi is purely sexual.
But what about Omkara?
Om has been in a committed relationship with Riddhima for either two or three years (as mentioned by Shivaay). He hasn't given any thought to marriage, and even though they are seen to be going on regular dates, neither Om nor Riddhima seem to exude any affection or physical attraction towards each other. There is no longing or desire to see each other. They don't miss each other, which is understandable for Riddhima since she has an ulterior motive for being with Om and isn't completely invested in the relationship anyway. However, Om seems to be a passionate man, who completely believes in love, but we never see him worry, long for or even think about Riddhima.
Isn't that strange?
Clearly, Om respects Riddhima. He admires her immensely and seems to be in awe of what he perceives, to be her passion for social service. He appears content and at ease in her presence, but does all of this add up to love?
At Riddhima's slightest white lie, his faith in her was shaken. We know that Om is a man of integrity and honesty, but he did not for a moment want to consider her side of the story.
He was very quick to walk away from her. Yes, she lied to him, but she could have been in some sort of trouble (we as audiences know that she wasn't, but he didn't), and he simply didn't care.
Does he really love her, or is it just admiration?
Because when we truly love someone, we look for excuses to forgive them and the way I saw it, Om walked away from her without even looking back.
