Good for her. The creator reigns supreme, and as she said, she and her team will take the story forward in an organic manner. I am sure all fans/fandoms will be pleased at the end.😃
In any case, social media popularity means squat when it comes to determining TRPs.This usually constitutes only a younger, more digitally connected demographic. It represents only a tiny segment of the vast population in the country which watches Television. No wonder Gul replied, it was terribly insulting to the entire crew of creatives and other actors to suggest something on these lines.🥱In any case, this show is one of the few shows on Television which is free from the bane of naagins and daayans. All the six main characters act, dress, talk and behave their age. Their conflicts, personality quirks, struggles- all are refreshing. I will take this show any day over most of the top TRP shows. Proud to be an Ishqbaazian, a fan of a show made by Gul Khan (amongst others). I may not agree with some of the things that Gul shows, I may be affronted by some elements of her template- but as a creator, she knows best. Keep rocking, Gul!👍🏼
Word to everything you said. The popularity of an actor be it social media or out of it, is irrelevant on Indian TV and its survival factor TRP. Outside of social media where the large chunk of tv audience is, know the actors by only their on-screen character name, it's the character that people like, so basically it's the creators of such characters who matter a lot for Indian TV. Majority of Gul's shows strike with youngsters and with general tv audience atleast for few months.
