From the beautiful and oh so apt quote at the beginning, to the subtle hint at Arjun-Saumya with mention to Rudra, of course and the lovely advice, Saumya gives to Ishaana.
Everything was perfect. Especially the sweet irony at the end.

I am not a great fan of Ishana on the show. In fact, the best response she's ever invoked from me is 'meh'. 😔 I haven't read any of the other stories on IshKara on the forum either. But your opening quote drew me in, since I had only just read an article on Mencken and was intrigued by the wonderful lines (also, you hadn't mentioned any specific pairing for the SS). Covering the series from Soumya's perspective makes it engaging, while still maintaining some semblance of detachment. In this particular update, more than Ishana's reluctant confession, the RJ's chirpy personality makes the narrative interesting, infusing positive vibes into the flow. I am a sucker for detail and the little scene at the start with Arjun had me reading on, as I realized that this is more than a unidimensional, melancholic love tale. Ishana's words were the only clue to her dilemma and pain and even without her physical presence, she's managed to make her feelings tangible. You've condensed multiple emotions into a few short paragraphs and that is one of the remarkable traits of a good author. I was not bored once while reading this and I thank you for lifting my mood on an otherwise rotten day. I am especially looking forward to the love lore of our favourite Love Angel, but your first post on the thread makes it evident that Rudra's interaction with her will be kept towards the end.

Do keep writing and update soon. A new reader is eagerly waiting! 😛
