Anyhow I feel today's absence was necessary so that he doesn't get to know about these things

He said kyuki main aapka saga bhai nhi hoon, he said this as he was the cousin of Shivaaye, however even if Rudra is illegitimate, he does not know it yet, he in fact is probably not even aware of the stuff that we currently know, if you people remember the day Om and Shivaaye were arguing and Rudra approached them seeking some answers, both Om and Shivaaye got tensed, Om actually hinted Shivaaye not to say anything. It is a different matter that Rudra asked some illogical question and the scene got over. I think Om and Shivaaye are hiding many things from Rudra and this is good, at least he would retain his innocence.
