Isn't Zara in Iddat?
Why does she keep on going out?

As far as I know during iddat you stay in the home unless you have very good reason to leave the house.
I know it's a tv serial for entertainment purposes but should be realistic.

She isn't... because she isn't divorced yet. Right?

No but he gave her the 1st talaq so they are technically divorced but he can rescind the divorce. Iddat starts the moment the word divorce is uttered.

Remember when she came back to kabir's House after he gave her triple talaq and Zeenat asked if she is ashamed to come here and that by Islamic rules she can't step outside of the house... and Zara said that she is not divorced because Triple talaq is illegal and in their Nikah agreement they agreed that they won't have triple talaq, so she and Kabir are still legally husband and wife.. and after Kabir gives her the 3rf talaq then only they are legally divorced.

That's what I got out of that episode.. I'm not Muslim so I don't know in detail... but I think Zara is going off on the fact that they are not fully divorced because when kabir's Inauguration ceremony when peopl were insulting her, she clearly stated that they are not yet divorced...

It doesn't work like that...
She should be in iddat, in terms of something that's portraying Islam by the book and true to form. They should've done this properly aswell otherwise people will be confused.
They are divorced but not fully coz until the iddat ends or the 3rd talaq is given they have the opportunity to get back together

Hi, i think the 1st talak is not yet finished because Zara in yesterday's episode she said to kabeer have you come to give me the second talak because the days not yet finished but it's ok as I'm ready for talak and to leave you. So I think the 1st talak is still not finished. In Islam if 1st talak finish and your husband hasn't taken you back I guess it's done you have to do the idat but then you can aswel get married again if he wants you back but if you get to the 3rd talak even if he wants you back he can not marry you until you get married to another man and get divorce again then your 1st husband can marry you but it's important that the other marriage with the other man you lived it in a proper way not like a contract that after a month we divorce so that I go to my 1st husband. That's not allowed unless if the man himself refused to sleep with you or love you. That's why this series shows you 3 talak is not good because sometimes anger takes over you and you end up loosing a jewel that is hard to replace. Imagine if another man got her do you think he will leave her may be he will give her what you didn't.
About Zara going out she is going to her parents house and being in idat doesn't mean you imprisoned in the house, you can go out in case if you working and only your money supports you; you can go work but not wearing something that is attractive or colourful or makeup but you covered and abstain from anything that can point a finger at you that you been with another man. The whole point of this idat is to protect you just in case you pregnant your husband can't accuse you that it's not his child or you been having an affair or anything bad that your husband used as a reason to divorce you although these days if you pregnant DNA test is done in case you accused wrongly 😉 . After 1st talak if Zara wishes she can refuse to go back to kabeer because now Zara has powers to choose in case kabeer wants her back. Well that's what I know about talak May be someone else has a different view would be nice to know more 😊

The CVs are messing up way more with the talaq track than they should. For all intent and purpose, Zara is shown to be a believer, so she should be in iddat which means she is to stay at her in laws place but separately from her husband, she is to not go outside and socialize outside her immediate circle. Once she is completely divorced after three months (given that Kabeer does not take her back), she can go on about her own life. Looks like the CVs themselves are either not aware of the actual process of talaq or they are so much into dramatizing things that they are ignoring these basic things.

Hi,from my understanding it doesn't necessarily need 3 talaqs to be completely done . If a woman is granted the first talaq and is not taken back before the Iddah time is over that's it they are done and can't be back together unless another man willingly marries her and divorce on their own will ( can't fake or contract a marriage to gain mohalal)
In Zara's case it's strange as it's a story and there are different opinions some say when it's pronounced 3 times that's it others say because of extreme anger it can count as one .in the story 3 times at once is not allowed by law so they counted it as one . When counted as one or even 2 the wife has to stay in her husbands home as the husband is responsible for her still in providing her basic needs and shelter and during that time of iddah he has the rite to take her back . She is not a prisoner but Once the third talaq is pronounced she leaves his house as she is no longer his wife .it's irrevocable and she has to complete iddah period 3 months and 10 days as it's the appropriate time frame to make sure she isn't bearing a child before marrying another to make sure of the identity of the child in case there is one . Zara cannot be kicked out of her husbands home until she is irrevocably divorced from kabeer that's why she returned to her home and life .

Actually if you have only 1 talaq you can remarry the guy without having to marry someone else. That is only necessary if they have 3 talaq between them. Kabeer doesn't necessarily have to give her anymore talaq. If the iddat period finishes without him revoking the divorce then they will be divorced. If in 5 years time they wish to remarry then can do so regardless of whether she has had a Nikah with someone else or not. If in the other hand he gives her 3 divorces then they could not remarry unles she had been married to someone else and divorced with him..

However in all cases iddat start the moment he uttered the word talaq.

No. Only 1 talaq happened. When she receives all 3 then she will be in iddat
