I can't understand this man,
He seems to have a liking for Zaara, although initially his intentions of getting Kabir married were different.
Seems somewhere I lost a connect of his characterization

I think he just wants Kabir to be a Sheher Qazi. He diesike Zara but because of his bargin with Rukhsaar he niw realises that she is more trouble than she seems. She might just open her mouth and blab everything out. I guess thats what makes him cover her tracks.

His main motive is to make kabir the kaazi..shabaz said to kabir after the nikah day that its his choice whether he can talaq zara after become the kaazi or get married again or live with zara...shahbaz leave the whole choice on kabir...plus he don't want anything to happend to zara as she is the daughter of the current seher kaazi if something happens to zara it will be hard for kabir to become one.

i think i m pretty clear about his characterization! He is gray character! he isnt negative but gray! All he wants is Kabeer to be the sheher Kazi so that he can rule standing behind him! But at the same time, he does want his son to be happy, doesn't really matter whim he is with! If you guys have ever noticed, he always told ruksaar that "if kabeer is okay , then he is okay " So if Kabeer wants zara, he will be definitely okat with zara as well. He has no personal grudge with zara as of now! All he is bothered is about kaziyat/power thats all!
