Chapter 2:
Riddhima woke up to the sunlight shining brightly on her face. She looks to the side of the bed and found it empty.
“Looks like Vansh has gone to work”. She thought to herself.
She placed her feet down carefully, ‘thank god the pain is much better than yesterday, I should go and freshen up.”. She said and walked slowly to the bathroom.
Vansh came back to the room after his morning workout. He saw that Riddhima was not in the bed, and he heard the water tap running.
“Riddhima”, He growled her name angrily and strode towards the bathroom.
“Riddhima, you just burned your feet yesterday! what are you doing in here?”.
Riddhima was applying her facial foam on her face and the sudden roar from Vansh, got her startled, causing the foam to enter her eyes.
“OUCHH”, ‘aankhen jal rahee hain’. Riddhima gasped in pain.
“Riddhima, are you okay”? Vansh asked worriedly.
“Vansh, aankhen jal rahee hain”.
“Riddhima, Aankhen kolo”.
“Vansh, bohot dard horaha hai”.
“Mujphe vishwas hain nai Riddhima”.
“Hain vishwas hai Vansh”.
“Tor phir, aram se kolo Riddhima”
She opened her eyes slowly to see him worried. He was blowing at her eyes softly and carefully. She was enjoying the moment, smiling inside her heart.
“Riddhima, are you okay now”?
“Haan Vansh main tik hoon abhi”! Thanks. She said with a smile on her face.
“What the hell Riddhima, what are you doing in here”? Asked Vansh angrily.
She was shocked by his question and retorted back looking irritated.
“Vansh”, why is this even a question? I came to take a shower and first of all, what are you doing inside here? What is this behavior Vansh?
Vansh, who was annoyed by her questions, locked her arms behind her back and replied, “Sweetheart, this is my bathroom! and I can come in anytime I want”.
There was barely an inch between their bodies. Riddhima brings herself to look at Vansh.
Time stood still as she gazed into his warm caramel eyes.
“Vansh, I am feeling cold, can you hug me?”, Riddhima asked him.
Riddhima, it's your punishment for throwing the snowballs on me! I won’t hug you. Said Vansh with a blank expression on his face but he was laughing inside looking at her state.
“I hate you Mr. Rai Singhania”, she told him, looking annoyed, and went to the lawn where the fire pit was.
She sat on the stool and turned on the radio. A perfect song was playing on the radio for the weather. She started to hum the song as it plays.
“Ye haseen vaadiyan ye khula aasman,
Aa gaye hum kahan ayemere sajna,
In baharon mein dil ki kali khil gayi,
Mujhko tumjo mile har khushi mil gayi.”
Vansh who felt bad for not hugging her, came back to the lawn trying to calm down his angry wife.
Go away Vansh! I don’t need your hug. Riddhima said feeling angry by his earlier actions.
Vansh thought of doing something to reduce his angry wife who was looking cute with her nose turning red, resembling Rudolph the deer due to the cold.
“Jee karta hai saajna dil mein tumko bitha loon,
Aa masti ki raat mein apna tumko bana loon,”
Riddhima was getting ready to leave the lawn when she witnesses the scene in front of her. Vansh was singing. It was an unbelievable moment.
Her Vansh was singing for her.
Her face bright up like a thousand-watt light bulb and ran towards Vansh.
Vansh opened his arms and welcome the signature flying hug from her.
“Riddhima, did you put on some weight”? “You are getting heavier”.
VANSH!!!

“Waise Riddhima, did you hear the last part of the lyrics that I sang”?
“Haan Vansh, it was so beautiful, I didn’t know you can sing so well.”
“Of course, Riddhima, who am I? I am Vansh Rai Singhania and there is nothing that I cannot do”.
She rolled her eyes hearing the comment that he was giving, how much he liked to praise himself.
“Riddhima, that’s not the question I am asking, did you hear the last lyrics of the song”?
“I don’t understand Vansh”, she replied, playing with the buttons on his shirt.
Vansh went to her ears and repeated the song slowly.
“Aa masti ki raat mein apna tumko bana loon”.
Riddhima blushed, listening to the lyrics, and hit Vansh on his chest lovingly.
Vansh!! Tum bi na, so naughty!
“Ouch Riddhima”, said Vansh rubbing his chest with a smile.
Both came closer to do their signature nose rubbing when...
“Riddhima” ... “Riddhima” ... Vansh shook her lightly. Where are you lost? As I was saying, “this is my bathroom, and I can come in anytime I like”.
Riddhima, who came back to the present was speechless and confused. A while ago, she was shivering in the cold and now, she was perspiring due to the heat in the bathroom.
Shit! what was that! For real, I thought we were in Shimla, playing with the snow, Vansh singing for me. Was all this a dream? Did I just daydream about Vansh? She chided herself silently and bring herself to look at him.
Small beads of sweat formed on his forehead and slowly trickle down on the side of his face. She couldn’t bring herself to look away and felt that her heart was going to explode anytime by the sudden closeness of Vansh till she

“I am fine Vansh”, just that you are a bit dirty right now and you smell bad. I guess you need to take a shower. Said her, trying to calm down her racing heart by diverting the topic.
He was displeased by her answer and thought of teasing her.
“Sweetheart, I don’t smell, but I guess you are triggered by my testosterone. You see, they are too strong for you to handle.
Vansh said with a smirk moving towards Riddhima.
She was shocked by his reply!! She was not expecting it. Her cheeks flushed in embarrassment, and she stared down at the floor like a new bride trying not to look at his eyes.
Vansh, smirked, enjoying his effect on her.
“Riddhima, look at me”. Said Vansh lovingly.
Riddhima slowly brings her face up, with her eyes shut tightly and her lips quivering.
He was lost in her beauty and went closer to her face when the voice of Siya bring them both back to reality.
Bhabhi, aap bathroom main hai. Siya called after looking around for her in the room.
Haan Siya, batao?
Bhabhi, dadi aapako khaane ke lie bula raha hai neeche.
Haan Siya,main aa raha hoon.Tum jao main aaoonga.
Teek hai bhabi, jaldi ayega. Siya told and left the room.
Riddhima looked at Vansh and saw him staring back at her.
He carried her swiftly and placed her in the bed carefully.
“Riddhima, tum yahan wait karlo.I will just take a shower and we both can go down for breakfast”.
“Teek hai Vansh”.She replied and turned her gaze towards the window.
After Vansh left, she covered her face with the pillow and squealed in mortification. “I just embarrassed myself in front of Vansh, woh mera baare mein kya sochega”!“Woh sochega ki mein use
ghoor raha hoon”. She face palm herself.
Riddhima was deep into her thoughts that she did not notice Vansh was calling her.
“Riddhima kya hua, Main khabse tumhe poochh raha hoon”?
“Kuch nai vansh,main teek hu”. She replied.
“Come, let’s go”. Said Vansh.
Riddhima holds Vansh's hand for support and they went down for breakfast.

“Riddhima beta, what happened to your leg”? Asked Dadi, worriedly looking at the bandage.
Haan Bhabhi, what happened to your leg. I am noticing it now.
Nothing dadi, siya.I am fine now. Just a small burn on my feet. I am okay now, replied Riddhima with a smile on her face to reassure them.
Riddhima beta, please take care of yourself. If you need help, ask the helpers. Don’t do things by yourself, replied Dadi with concern.
Don’t worry Dadi, I will take care of myself. She smiled looking at Dadi.
“Okay come, let’s eat before the food gets cold”. Said Dadi.
All the Rai Singhania family members were having their breakfast. Vansh ate his breakfast and had left for meeting with Angre.
Ishani and Anupriya were exchanging glances with smirks on their faces. They were glad that their plan to hurt Riddhima was successful.
Riddhima felt thirsty and drank her glass of water and caught their smirk.
She thought to herself, “Ishani, you bitch, I know it is you who pushed me to the coal room, you just wait and watch!”

Riddhima went back to her room after breakfast. She called someone and after a long conversation, she ended the call with a smile.
She sat on the bed, smiling, thinking about the bathroom incident with Vansh earlier.
She wants to make the first step
towards the relationship but before that she has some serious shit to handle.
