Obsession - Vansh VS Riddhima

Seeing the topic I bet all of you are wondering, where is the obsession in Riddhima ? We can see now from Vansh’s side but Riddhima ? No. Let me tell you my perspective.

Okay so now we can see in full fledge what we’ve seen in glimpses from past episodes. With the revenge track we get to know that besides wanting to prove Riddhima was a spy, Vansh actually truly had feelings for Riddhima even from the beginning. We can see that slowly, surely he became obsessed with this girl that has the audacity to correct him at his own party. Later on he gets to know, that her courage was not a one time thing. In every step he took, in every accusation he threw her way, she has the back answer for it. Be it with fear, with anger, or with sincerity, she will always challenge him back. And that made him fall even more deeply for this small girl with big gumption and a gold heart.

So when he found out that she actually did betray him (in his point of view), his anger and hate was actually at himself because he let her come close even knowing that she was untrustworthy. So that anger he took out on her. He did everything to hurt her even though it hurt his heart more to see her broken. He knew, as deeply in love as he was with her, she was that far gone for him too. He knew she would never leave him. No matter how hard he tried. And that gave him permission to do anything to hurt her more until his hurt and ego was satisfied.

But the moment he saw her fire again, the moment she took charge of the situation and finally said, enough is enough. You’re not worth all this pain anymore. The moment she back talk to him and challenged his ego, you can see his eyes changed. It’s like he is seeing that girl that argued with him regarding flower preferences in his own damn party. And that fanned the flames of obsession he had for her that simmered down after her so called “betrayal”.

So now after getting her back, we see clearly, an obsessed and in love Vansh who will do anything, ANYTHING to keep his wife with him. Even if he has to lock her up and attach her to him. He wants to know her every step, her every move. He wants her to only think of him, to be the only one in her eyes and no one else. But that’s where the problems arise. While wanting her to only focus on him, he is also unwilling to share ALL of him with her. That’s where his promises have hurt her. He’s obsessed with her but is unwilling to bear the consequences of that obsession.

Now here’s the tricky part. I didn’t know if most of you realize this. But if you see clearly, Riddhima also has been obsessed with Vansh since the very beginning. But the only things that have changed are her feelings and intentions. You may not realize this but Riddhima is also as OBSESSED in Vansh as he is in her. And the instigator for that is Kabir. Don’t trust me ? Let me break it down to you.

Okay so maybe not from the very beginning, but from the minute she step on that cruise and met him ? She was gone. At the very beginning, her feelings were for Kabir, her intentions was to find proof and send Vansh to jail. She was so obsessed in finding proof against him that led her to notice his behaviors, his quirks, his habits and his emotions. But all of this was not endearing to her as her head was filled with misconceptions about him being a big Monster. She hates this man. Obsessively. As this man was her only obstacle to achieve happiness.

And then she took a bullet for him. Somewhere in her unconscious mind, she knew he was not as bad as he appears to be. This man does not deserve death. And then he took care of her, of all her needs while she was recovering. And she saw a softer side of him. A side only revealed to his Dadi and Siya. A side that even Ishani rarely gets to see. And her obsession grew. If this man is as bad as Kabir made him out to be, then why is he so gentle and caring to her. She even mentions that to Kabir. This man saved her life so many times, there is no way he could take a life in cold blood. She was even willing to stand by him, even if he was wrong. Here her feelings and intentions have shifted. Her feelings are firmly for her husband, her intentions to prove his innocence and to prevent him from doing wrong.

And that’s what she’s been doing ever since. In the ongoing track, you know what made her more determined to find out this secret ? If Vansh hadn’t took out the locket or went back to that old car, or if Kabir’s chits didn’t lead to Vansh, Riddhima would’ve never found any clues in the house. I mean come on, in all the while she’s been looking for clues against him, wouldn’t you think she would’ve looked in every nook and cranny of the house ? No, what made her determined is the obsession of wanting to know all of him. All of his secrets, all of his thoughts, all that is essentially him. She wants to be able to delve inside him and stay there. Have the only right as his wife to know all of him, not only the parts that he wants to show people, but all of him. Be so much apart of him that he wouldn’t ever be able to throw her out. And you know why that is ? Because he’s done it once, so it’s not impossible that he’s capable of doing it again. This is the depth of her obsession.

People don’t see what Riddhima is doing as an obsession because her character has been designed to look pristine and clean. Because we are rooting for her. Because we want her to find out the truth, be it about her husband’s crimes or about her parents death. But in all reality, what she is doing has crossed the limits of love over to obsession long before. Because no sane woman in their right mind, would stay quiet after almost dying in a room full of burning coal or after finding out your husband ordered you to be hanged.
We only see Vansh’s obsession because his character has been designed to look Dark and Ominous from the very beginning. So it’s not that far of a stretch if we believe him to be obsessed with his wife. Even Ishani herself said, being Vansh’s love is more dangerous that being his enemy. Isn’t that what happened in the revenge track and even now ? Kabir is freely roaming in the mansion, without anyone keeping an eye on him. And Riddhima’s every step, every breath is reported back to Vansh.

So that is my two cents on the topic of obsession regarding this to idiots in love. Feel free to comment and let me know your views ♥️

BTW I must say Riddhima is more obsessed than Vansh . Just because she is the only positive character here audience never understood her obsession towards Vansh properly. But Vansh is always a grey/dark character so we always wanted him to be an obsessive lover from the beginning 😈

But now this love game is more interesting to watch because we will get shocked after these two crazy people's drama in upcoming episodes 👍🏼

I don't quite agree with vansh's part.

His anger and hatred was NEVER on himself, he always considered it was Riddhima who betrayed him eventhough she tried confessing him few times. Yes he was obsessed with her and brought her in his life forcibly as he wanted, removed her from his life by snatching everything from her as he wanted and then brought her back NOT because he simmered down but coz his own sister had to come out of coma to testify for her, AGAIN.....as he wanted.

Riddhima- you made me look at the past Riddhima with a totally different perspective👏

Yes she wanted to have him behind the bars for Kabir but in this process she started to know about his schedule very well, in short she was habituated to him😆

The problem with Riddhima AGAIN is she wants to know everything, she should realise that there are some scars that are better if remained unopened. Why does she needs to know why he was in juvenile court???? Why digging up the past when you are going to start a beautiful future. It's again IF he's involved with her parents accident in the same way IF he's going to kill ragini.....

eventhough I'm a little bit mad at riddhu after today's episode, I'm loving this track. RiAnsh planning/plotting against each other and also romancing in between😆

Vai kuch bhi bolo but this girl can go any length to know the full truth if it is related to Vansh ... That's how much obsessed she is 😆

I know its irritating but I am accustomed to it now and ignoring all the negative sides to enjoy the track .

Dadi abd Siya on uniting them - obsessed

Chacchi and Aryan - dividing them - obsessed

Angre - boss only obsessed - what category to give him??

Ahana when she returns on dividing them - obsessed
