Part 2 :

"I love you" Vansh couldn't hear her but he sure read the moment of her lips as he peeked through the circular glass in the middle of the metal door of the ICU. She was laying on the bed, bandage over her forehead and numerous tubes on her wrist sticking to her veins. Her hands were encircling his waist and her head titled to take support from his belly. Vansh has tightened his fist, his nails digging deep in his own flesh. He was supposed to be there, it was his place, beside her.

"Bhai" Ishani spoke up breaking him out of his thoughts. He didn't move.

"Its been.." she began to say the same thing 10th time but he signalled her to stop

"If you want to go home, go, I can't, I have a wounded wife to look after " he sternly replied, his gaze still fixed on Ridhima.

Flashback :

"Why Kabir?" Aryan asked

"Doctor, I think you'd like to see this" they've heard a woman, supposedly a nurse call after the person they were talking to. They had a brief conversation, his face turning pale first as he looked at where they were standing and then he ordered the nurse to do something and walked towards them

"The thing is.." Doctor started

"She probably has amnesia, I am not completely sure what kind it is and since I have not interacted with her, I cannot comment on the degree of the trauma but.." he looked at their shocked faces

"But.. my team informs me.." he looked bck at the nurse and then at them

"She only remembers Kabir and.." he turned back to ask her

"Sejal" she said

"Sejal" he repeated

"She is not married" the nurse said in a low voice. Vansh has immediately looked up at her and gave her death glare "that's what she believes" she gulped looking down in fear

"There would be a lot of tests and maybe a psychiatric evaluation after she's physically fit but before that.. I am not pleased to inform, she should only meet the people she's familiar with" The doctor finished tightly pressing his lips together to convey his disappointment.

"I will go" Kabir said walking towards the room when Vansh stood before him and hardened his face "No" he roared

"You still couldn't get rid of your ego? She's dying" he said

"She will be fine but you stay away from her" Vansh warned him

"Didn't you hear what the doctor said? She wants to see me" Kabir gritted his teeth nd said in an angry voice.

"He's right Vansh, baat Ridhima ki jaan ki h, jane de use" dadi said innocently, still not sure why Ridhima only remembers Kabir, that was strange for them except Vansh who knew about them.

"Ye sab medical condition h bhai, let's just deal with it one by one." Ishani supported her

"Keh dia na nahi to nahi" he said with a dangerously low voice as he stared hardly at Kabir

"Boss" Angre interuppted their staring contest

"She needs to be fine first, you know why she remembers him only, if you'd make a scene, everyone will start asking questions" He whispered, making vansh twitch. With sunken heart and anger burning his eyes, he stepped aside letting Kabir go inside.

As soon as he had entered, Ridhima had chirped with happiness and a Watery eye.

"Kabir" she had pouted and hugged him.

He hated that sight. He wanted to barge in and give that bas*ard a punch in the eye for looking at her, he wanted to break his fingers for touching her, he wanted to murder him for being what is his position. Vansh Rai Singhania has never felt this helpless in life, like a catastrophe has come suddenly wiping away his only hope at love.

Flashback ends*****

"Bhai why did she take his name" Ishani stuttered not sure if she should ask

Vansh gave her a stern look and moved his gaze back to the two of them.

"I can't stay here and tolerate this bullshit" he took a deep breath and gathered himself up before deciding to go in. This won't be hard, she will instantly be back to him, he thought.

He wiped down his hands over his face and inhaling sharply pushed the handle of the metal door.

He took a few steps after which he had noticed her look up, at his direction. Her cold piercing gaze scanning him in silence and amusement as he stopped at the corner of her bed, questioning himself if it was the right decision to come in. He exchanged glances with Kabir for nanoseconds and he could make out how tensed he was, must be thinking what if she recognised him.

"Excuse me?" She said breaking the pin drop silence. Vansh has opened his mouth to say something but before he can find the perfect words she had shut him up with something he had lost hope for.

"Vansh Rai Singhania?" She said a sense of recognition spreading over her face

"Ridhima" His face has lit up and he had smiled so wide but what she said next broke his heart back to pieces

"Kabir, I organised his party" she said shifting her gaze towards him, "I think I must have had an accident on the way back home" she completed, scratching her scalp in annoyance "or maybe when I was at sea.." she pouted "I met you there.."she pointed her fingers towards Kabir and asked

"Yes, and baki baatein baat mein, pehle tum theek hojao" he smiled and cupped her face, making the man standing next to him clutch the edges of the bed and so tightly that he didn't care if it was bleeding. He wanted to rip them apart and pull the gun from his pocket, put it on his head and blast it.

"Mr. Singhania" He heard her gasp, she covered her mouth and he followed his gaze to his bleeding hands

"You need first aid" she looked up innocently

"Will you call the nurse" she asked Kabir. He stared sternly at Vansh and agreed to go out and bring the help.

"Aap uspe pressure dal k rakhiye" she instructed, his face was devoid of any expressions, as blank as it could be.

She looked at his chiseled face and blinked in amusement

"Do you even feel the pain? Come here" she said and grabbed a piece of gauge and pressed it on his palm. "Like this" she said applying the pressure with her left hand because her right was filled with bandages and cannulas. She took a few seconds reviewing the wound and he kept looking at her, coming on terms with the fact that she doesn't know him now. That's he's alien to her, or worse non existent.

"Even when you don't know me, you care about me, even when you are in pain" he whispered noticing how uncomfortable it was for her to do that from her left hand.

"Huh?" She rose her brow "kuch kaha?" She asked. With a heavy and hurt voice he denied "kuch nhi"
