Part 13 :

"Ridhima I'm sorry" Vansh cleared his throat and looked at her through the mirror. Removing the last bangle, her lashes swiftly scanned his mirror image and she scorned. Her husband was the perfect love at first sight material, tall brown and handsome!

'appearances are deceptive' she scuffed and shook her head.

"Huh, did you say something" he asked, twitching his brow

"Did you hear anything?" She sighed

"Not that I am sure of" he said swiftly sitting on the bed looking at her.

She stayed quiet, busy removing her makeup and jewellery.

"Ridhima" He said intently glaring her

She narrowed her eyes at him and her right brow rose in question.

"Would you mind if I ask you something" he said

"Depends" she said getting back to putting the makeup remover on the cotton pallet

"Since when you stopped wearing Mangalsutra and sindoor?" He said, closely noticing her reaction. She froze for a minisecond and then composed herself.

"Since i was told my place has been given to someone else, ek admi k nam ka sindoor ek aurat pe he acha lagta hai na" she smiled trying hard to stop her emotions down from her eyes.

"It wasn't like that" he whimpered

"I am not having this conversation again" she said putting her stuff in the drawer and twitchinh her lips

"We need to talk" he said standing up in front of her

"That's what I said, but you kicked me out of here, now I don't think I want to talk" She snapped and moved when he blocked her way

"Why not? I know I did a mistake but you have to give me a second chance" He said on the verge of breaking down

"Like you gave me a second chance?" She scoffed

"You know I don't have a heart like yours I'm not strong like you, I know I am a coward, a egoistic self centered person, but you're better than me, you are so pure and.."

"And that's why you think I should forgive you? Well Mr. Singhania, thankyou for your kind words but I don't think I wanna be pure and sweet and strong anymore. Pardon me if I break your trust on me being the innocent, naive love sick girl but I really want to be you, coward and egoistic and all tht.." she said calm and composed, not even a wrinkle on her face, pale and unemotic. She didn't know for how many times she has practiced this in front of mirror and today when it wasn't mirror but the love of her life, all of a sudden it all seemed too difficult like the life out of her is being sucked. Like she would give up on this facade anytime and hug this person standing in front of her and cry her heart out. She would've if she would've been just Ridhima, his wife for whom he was the east and the west, whose life depended on one name : Vansh and if he would've been just a husband who never trusted her but neither of them were just that. She wasn't just his wife now, she was a mother and her priorities changed. He wasn't just a ignorant husband but an ignorant father, the person who was responsible for all that happened with her and her child, at least she thought so.

"Itti karwahat? Ye bhar dia h in kal k aaye hue logo ne tumhare andar?" Vansh jerked her

"Apna muh band kro or hath mat lagao mjhe" she said removing his grip with all her might.

"Warna bhul jaungi m ki 26 din or rehna h tumhare sath" she said and went out of the room leaving behind him shocked. He was also counting the days, ironically both their reasons were quite opposite.

Since the day he was finding her to the day she met him to the day she and her friends were staying with them until today he always thought she is punishing him ans eventually she will be back with him. He always thought she'd come back to him watsoever. It was the first time he felt she might not. The first time he felt she wasn't doing it to punish him.

"Is she over me?" He mumbled, the thought crossing his mind for the first time. How could the girl who took bullets for him who would do anything for him is no more into him? Did he overestimate her love? Or did he underestimate her self respect? Who knows! But the damage was done and the mirage broken. She no longer belonged to him, she wasn't his anymore.

He was afraid for the first time in a long time. He feared her absence from his life. He wasn't this afraid even when he couldn't find her because he thought he will one day and he will eventually win her back. Facing the kind of rejection today, his mind went berserk and his heart beating extremely slow. The smarter and cunning Raisinghnania had nothing he could do about this. No plans, no alternatives, he never thought he would neeed one. He thought she was hers, but she wasn't.

"Is there someone else?" He thought, a current running down his body.

"I have the find out" he said licking his lips anxiously and dialled a no.

"Ridhima?" She knew the voice. She didn't answer

"Are you crying?" Aryan said keeping his hand on her shoulder

"No, I feel like though" she said looking him with her chilli red eyes

"You're angry?" She smirked

"Very" she sighed

"I hate your brother" she said turning back and looking towards the Chandler

"Our is the bad blood Ridhima, remember I wasn't any less, I think if there's one good think that makes me look into the mirror and not loathe myself is you. The fact that you don't hate me" Aryan said

"Bhai is also.."

"Don't you dare defend your brother" she snapped and gritted her teeth

"I'm not! I'm just saying, he will learn"

"It's too late, I will never go back to him if that's what you're implying" she said disgusted

"You got me wrong. I don't think any of us Raisinghnanias deserve something as precious as you and..." He was about to say when she cut him by keeping her finger on his lips and sushed him "bhot bolte ho tum" she said eyeing him

"Why are you sad then? Today was a good day right? Finally what we wanted happened. Don't let anything spoil your mood today" he said cupping her face and smiling at her.

"How come you turned out to be like this? Your 360 degree turn amazes me" she giggled side hugging him oblivious to a pair of eyes looking at them amused.

"Kya hua boss??" Angre came inside the room and latched it

"There has to be someone, find out who he is, what magic he had done on Ridhima..wo jo b h jaha b h pata lagao" Vansh said in anger

"There's someone in her life, I could see it in her eyes, as if she was fearless as if the only fear she has is of losing him and not me, as if whoever this is is more important than me.. can you imagine Angre? One year? That's all it took for her to forget me and move on? But I will show that person that Ridhima is only mine" he said banging his fist on the wall

"Why do you think it's an outsider?" Angre said calmly

"What do you mean?" Vansh said irritated

"I mean.. I don't know how to say it but.." Angre sighed and licked his lip nervously

"What is it Angre?" Vansh walked upto him slowly

"Tell me what's going on in your mind" he asked confused

"I just saw.. I mean past few days and even rn I saw bhabhi with.."

"With?"

"I mean I might be wrong and I'm not saying it's something of that sort but.."

"But what Angre???" He shouted. He had had enough.

"Bhabhi seems too close to Aryan, I mean she's close to Shravan too but considering Aryan met her after one year like all of us.. it's a bit...odd" Angre said hesitating

"Is there anything I should know about? You were saying you just saw something" Vansh said tightening his fist but not actually believing this could be true

"You might wanna check CCTV of the corridor" Angre said and before he could say another word Vansh rushed out of the room.

"We just need to plan it out carefully, not one shred of doubt in anyone's mind specially Angre and vansh. We have to be alert" Ridhima said taking a full circle of her 3 friends sitting on the bed

"Why are you taking oheras of us?" Shravan chuckled

"Calm down, will you?" Aryan said pouring himself the wine

"How can I when I know your brother is trying all his best to make my life hell" she said irritated

"We will find a way" Ananya pouted

"What about the money?" Ridhima asked

"I have arranged it" both Shravan and Aryan said it together

"Ohfo, I know you both have and that's not a problem" Ridhima said smiling at both of them. At least there were people with her in her bad times, she silently thanked God and hid her lone tear.

"To kya problem h?"

"How will we pay them and when? Any transaction from your account can be traced by him Aryan and I'm sure he will keep an eye on yours too still taking it from Shravan is better. I just think we would do the payment via someone else, like Ruhi?'" Ridhima said and there was a valid point. This much money if Aryan withdraws or tranfers and that too in the name of a hospital, there will be questions.

"Fine, I will talk to her" Shravan said

"But kal k incident k baad, tu bahar kese niklegi, mjhe to lagta h is khadoos ne tere peeche detective chod diye honge" Ananya said making an annoyed face.

"Or upar se ye lad k bhi agai" Aryan said siping his wine

"Don't worry, I have a plan" she said as she smirked and looked at all of them

"Angre" Vansh sternly said after looking the cctv footage

"Yes boss"

"Send chachu and chachi on a trip to the hills" He said, his chiseled face giving the most negative vibes.

"Send Dadi on a pilgrimage" he added

"Send Ishani anywhere" he said sighing and calmly leaving the room

"B..oss.." he stuttered

Vansh stopped.

"What about.. Aryan? He's your brother.. are you.." he said scared of completing his sentence

"Then he must have acted like my brother" he said as he left the room.
