"Come Riddhu" Vansh saw Shravan extend his hand, he was getting impatient. He looked at Shravan, his eyes were shining as he was wiggling his eyebrows signalling the lady to come. Vansh shifted his gaze to the woman who took his hand and came forward. Suddenly the world stopped and it started collapsing for him. He couldn't breathe. He couldn't gulp. His body went rigid, his eyes fixed at the figure that emerged from the crowd, dressed in a deep red saree and a charming smile plastered on her face, shyness visible. Was it her? Is he drunk imagining her? He must be. It couldn't be her.

'she isn't really there' he told himself

'You're hallucinating again' he mentally spoke

"You took me by surprise" he heard her whisper and oh god! It's her. It's her. The voice he heard. Things started adding up.

She fiddled with the pallu of her saree, clearly anxious looking at either the floor or the man standing next to her.

"Boss, bhabhi" Angre pressed his shoulders and uttered in disbelief. It took vansh minutes to calm his nerves down, he couldn't find her all these years but she surely did.

"Do you need any more of the proof dad? They're kind of official" Rohan has turned around to talk to his dad sitting on other side beside him.

Vansh's eyes trailed off to her hand entangled between Shravans. He closed his fist tightly and clenched his jaws trying hard to not murder him. To say vansh was enraged would be an understatement. This has to end. He was about to get up when the media started asking the questions..

"Are you two in a relationship?" A lady asked politely. Vansh's jaw dropped.

Shravan grinned looking at Ridhima and how it pissed Vansh off. The guy is really asking for his punch in his face.

"Tell them" he heard him giggle whisper

He tried reading her expressions. She narrowed his eyes at him amused.

"Shut up" she quipped

"She's telling you to shut up" Shravan spoke rather loudly. With her mouth wide open she stomped her heels on his shoes

"Ouch" he hissed.

"No, we are not lovers" Ridhima clarified. And how vansh took a sigh of relief. They weren't together. Good for him. He smirked, and his eyes started scanning her.

"So are you dating someone else?" The other reporter asked him

"No he isn't" She replied quickly. What's with tht? Why did she need to speak on his behalf. How is she sure he isn't? Does she like him? How did she ended up here? What is their relationship? Vansh had millions of questions going on in his mind. He desperately frowned.

"Oh, then what about you?' reporter turned the mic towards her.

"She neither. We are friends with benefits" Shravan winked at the reporter jokingly as Ridhima glared him. Vansh has started to stand up hearing his comment but Angre stopped him. He mde him sit "let's just get done with the media, we can talk this out, I have done a background check on him before coming here and it's not how it looks, I will explain" Angre has said.

"We are just friends" Shravan straightened up and replied.

Relief spread through his body only to get hit by his next sentence.

"And we both are single" he added.

Single? Ridhima is not single. She is with him, she is entitled to be with him. She's Mrs. Rai Singhania.

The anger on his face was evident as he tightly gripped the edge of the table.

"Now please join the party outside, help your selves" Mr. Rathod stood up and announced.

He impatiently waited for the crowd to dissipate until it was just him, Angre on the centre table and Shravan and Ridhima standing slightly ahead on the dice. Who would have thought when he woke up this morning that it's going to be the best day in last one year.

He saw her playfully hitting Shravan, Vansh snapped his head in other direction unable to bear the scene in front of him. He gulped, tightening his muscles to stop himself from losing it.

"I have to take this" Shravan has picked up his phone and quipped. Ridhhima nodded.

As soon as Shravan left the hall, Vansh stood up. Ridhhima was standing a few feets away from him oblivious to his presence. She was viewing the paintings on the walls, lost in her thoughts.

Vansh slowly walked towards her. Until he was standing just behind her, covering her petite figure. If anyone have looked, they wouldn't know there was someone hiding in front of Mr. Singhania.

He leaned in closer, so close to her that his lips were almost touching her ears, as the warm breath fanned the side of her neck.

Her body stiffened to this proximity.

'wtf' she was about to turn when his long fingers touched her bare back. His cold skin touching her warm back was enough to send chills down her body.

She remembered this feeling. She felt this before. She closed her eyes to push her thoughts back. 'no Ridhima it's not him' she mentally spoke.

She then remembered the events earlier in the evening when Shravan has done something like this. She rolled her eyes at his antics.

"Stop it Shravu" she giggled turning back to face him but her smile faded as soon as she looked at the tall figure standing in front of her. She stared at him in disbelief. She felt her heart come to her mouth, her mind went numb. She raised his hand and gulped, she was scared but she had to be sure, her small fingers touching his face. He closed his eyes feeling her touch. the instant she touched him, she knew it was him.

"Vansh" she gasped and took a step back trying to make sense of what was happening.

The sweat beads formed around her and tears forming in her eyes.

"Why are you here?" Her voice broke, her heart beating as fast as it can

"Kaha kaha nhi dhundha mene tumhe" he began to speak not removing his gaze from her.. "mjhe pata tha tum khud milogi mjhe" he stepped closer and she stepped back.

"Vansh, kyu, kyu wapas aye ho?" Ridhima's back hit the painting on the wall and there was no way out.

Vansh pinned her between his arms and locked his eyes with her. Oh how he missed those eyes.

"Tumhara hu tumhare pass nhi aunga to kaha jaunga?" he replied, his forehead meeting hers

She scoffed..

"na tum mere ho na Mai tumhari" she pushed him the flashback of him standing the woman he claimed to marry haunting her.

"Dare you" she pointed her fingers at him warning him to stop in his tracks, tears streaming down her cheeks.

"Riddhu, aj tu mere room m so.." Shravan entered the hall looking at his phone, but paused as he looked at the scene in front of him..

"What's wrong.. Ridhu?" He came by her side and asked her

"Don't call her that" Vansh roared clenching his jaws

"Woah woah, where is it coming from?" He asked astonished at his sudden attack

'"and why would she sleep in your room..who do you think you are" if it wasn't for Angre stopping him, he would've picked a fight with him

"Excuse me, she lives with me" he angrily glared vansh and turned towards Ridhima.. "Anu called to say she is spending the night with ansh in your room, I plan to stay at home today so you can sleep in my room, not that it's any random strangers' business" if stares could kill all three of them would've been dead.

"Tis was not cool Mr. Singhania" he spared him last glance and grasped her hands and pulled her with him out of the hallway, Ridhima looked blankly one last time towards vansh as Shravan pulled her down the corridor full of guests giving them strange looks.

Once they were at a secluded spot he spat "what was that?" He demanded an answer

"Was that bully harrasing you? I had no idea he would come, I have no recollection of dad informing me and I never saw him so i didn't know it was him, he never invested in social causes, I am sorry, it's my fault" he blurted out everything.. Shravan Knew about Vansh, she had told him everything about her past and Shravan helped her hide from his men, he wiped out all her information from the face of earth, he kept her protected but not even in his worst nightmare he thought he will be the reason for her misery

"It's okay" she said

"He's trouble, you were talking to the enemy"

"I am sorry.. he got to me and.." she gulped remembering their latest encounter

"And you forgot he has married someone else, you forgot how he left you to die, how he got your signs on divorce papers?" Shravan asked concerned

"No! It was sudden.. I can't help it" she defended

"Okay we have to fix this" he paced the area in front of her with his hand on her head

"You avoid him at all cost, he wants to hurt you i am sure so he will try to get to you, I will be with you and..". She stood in his way to stop.him.from venting anymore

"Relax, I am not going to speak to him ever again" she assured him

"For your own sake, I hope not" he said eased

She smiled at him realising very well she lied. He told him to relax but she couldn't herself. The rage, the longing, the love in Vansh's eyes were going to haunt her! wait, did she say love? No!

She was intimidated by his voice and touch. So vulnerable under his gaze. 'She hated him she hated him' she reminded herself. She won't let him get the best of her, she won't let him break her again but she knew he was going to mess with her. She knew he was back. He was back.

A special thanks to angre who stopped him for committing a murder crime or he's already a mafia in your story 🤔(sharavu k begair ,he can kill anyone harming or separating ridhu from him)

But for now vansh deserves this.

Next time ridhu ko dekhe toh,i hope she'll show her strong side to him not vulnerable one.
