Looking at the distant garden, standing on the edge of the open terrace, she was engrossed in the view. She was healing, she realised, her nightmares reducing to once a week from thrice a night. She wouldn't twitch her nose watching the romantic forever love stories or whenever they got a wedding invite. She hated herself less now. She made herself busy, going to the cafe thrice a week and baking part time for her friends, she was content.
Suddenly she was startled by a hand on her bare back. She turned around to look at her best friend grinning at her.

"You scared me" she said taking a deep breath
He chuckled.
"You look.." he paused looking at her from up to down "beautiful" he smiled.

She was wearing a chiffon red saree with black borders, he blouse was backless with a dori and sleeveless, she tied her hair into a loose bun, strands of hair falling on her face. She picked up an light pink lipstick and minimum make up.

"Thank you Mr. Rathod" her eyes lit up
"Wait! something is missing, Miss Riddhima" He stretched his hand to the back of her head and removed the cluture from her hair.
"Now it's perfect" he smiled
Ridhima froze for a second, experiencing deja vu, she thought of the times vansh and vihaan as he called himself did this. A few seconds ago she was applauding herself and now she's again back to square. She mentally hit herself nd took a deep breathe.
"Shall we?" He asked leading the way. She nodded and followed him.

It was a seven star hotel. Ridhima got out of his Mercedes and looked at the huge building in front of her.
"We have to go on the 7th floor babe" He sighed
"The torture begins" he added
"Babe, why are you like this? You love doing this and still call it torture" Ridhima rolled her eyes
"Hey hey hey, Its not the work I hate, I hate the show off and more specifically meeting my dad, he sure is gonna ask me about the date, this time he was sure she will become the bahu" he laughed mockingly
"You're crazy" she huffed and slightly slapped him on the shoulder.

"Angre, what is the goal of attending this meeting or party whatever, can you remind?" Vansh crushed the ciggratte he was smoking, and looked at the building.
"Boss, first we are here to make contacts for the upcoming project of liquor and mostly we are here because you were interested in the orphanage project and Rathod Group is here to talk about it and you wanted to fund it in some way" Angre briefed him as they walked towards the lift.

"You're crazy" he heard a melodious voice pass by as he was standing inside the lift waiting for it to close. He instantly recognised it.

"Wait" he almost screamed trying to stop the door from closing but he was late. He stopped the lift on the immediate floor and ran out to it, pushing eveyone. Angre was startled by his sudden actions
Vansh ran down the stairs like a maniac.

"Bhai, bhai" Angre was trying to stop him but he was running here and there as if looking for something
"Bhai kya hua h?" He asked
Vansh was breathless, he has searched entire floor but he didn't find her.
"Angre Ridhhima is here" he said catching up his breath
"Kaha? Apne unhe dekha?" Angre asked impatient
"Nahi par.. par mene uski awaz suni" Vansh said his eyes still scanning
"Bhai mjhe lagta h.. matlab ho skta h na.. apko koi.." Angre gulped.
"You mean I am lying? Ya ye kehna chahte ho ki pagal hu Mai?" Vansh gritted his teeth.

"Mr. Singhania" he closed his eyes trying to dissipate his anger and annoyance as he heard someone call him
"Hello, Mr. Rathod, kese hai aap?" He turned and greeted him politely.
"I'm perfectly fine, chaliye aap time ho raha h, you do remember your promise right?" The old man asked him as they moved towards the venue
"Yes, I will invest in your orphanages" Vansh nodded
"This is my younger son, Rohan" He introduced him to a young man in his teenage years standing next to him
"Is it him leading the project?" Vansh asked curiously
"Oh No, he's still in college, that would be my elder son, Shravan, he is into all the social work, he wanted to do this for some reasons" the old man said
"For some reasons, or for his girlfriend." Rohan chuckled receiving a glare from his father
"He doesn't have one"
"Really dad, I just saw her going with bhai and she's an orphan" Rohan argued

Something made vansh feel he knew this, something connected him and dragged him to take interest in this conversation.
"So what's wrong in having a gf who's an orphan?" Vansh asked
"No harms, I love her, she's amazing but dad.. dad wants bhai to marry a billionaires daughter"Rohan explained
"I have read in the magazine your wife is also an orphan, you didn't bring her along?" Rohan asked casually. Vansh stopped dead in his track. He hated coming to parties like this because he was always reminded of his painful past, of her.
Without saying a word he went inside the conference hall and sat on his destined chair.

"Can you stay here, I will be back before you know it" Shravan took her to the end of the big conference hall away from the center table, where all the dignitaries were supposed to sit.
"You brought me here to get me bored" she frowned
"Didn't you want to see me giving presentation" He asked raising his brow
"Whatever" she rolled her eyes and sat on the chair next to other audiences.

"Good evening everyone, it's a pleasure to stand here in front of so many successful personas.." Shravan began and Ridhima smiled looking at him. She loved this man, loved as in how a friend loved a friend.
Suddenly she felt something different, a presence. She looked here and there to point it out but couldn't. Was she anxious? She thought. Maybe she was nervous being around so many high profile people.
She made herself attentive to the presentation Shravan was giving but something was amiss, her heart can feel it. She felt restless.
"So this is it, it's my first project, before this I been a part of 100 others but this is solely mine, I thank you all for your support and your interest in this, I am sure I won't disappoint you" Shravan ended his speech and Ridhhima was the first one to clap, the rest of the crowd joined her.
"I have a question" echoed a voice through the mic
Ridhhima's face lit up, she didn't know why but blood rushed to her entire body. She felt goosebumps. She tried to spot the person but there was so much of crowd and she cursed her short height. She patiently waited for him to speak again
"What is the name of your Orphanage?" The person with the deep voice asked.
Shravan looked at the man, a little frown forming on his forehead. He licked his lips and looked at Ridhima. Ridhima knew, whenever he licked his lips, he was nervous, she realised he didn't have a name.
She signalled him to take a deep breathe exactly like someone taught her once.
"I.. it's.." he began after looking at her and taking a deep breath
"It's called Anudhima foundation" He smiled looking at the person
"Interesting, very interesting, why is it called Anudhima?" The guy with the deep voice asked.
Is he drunk? She thought, he did sound like he was.
Ridhima liked the question, even she wanted to know.
"Actually, it's for two of my friends, who are my family now, but for a very long time, they had no family, no one to call theirs..this is for them.. Anu.. that's Ananya, she isn't here and Riddhima.. she's over there.. so it's Anudhima" He smiled. Ridhhima's eyes widened. She looked at him in Awe, is he for real? How can someone be so sweet? She thought, suddenly feeling a lot of eyes on her she hung her head and tried to hide her face.
"Told you no, his gf" Rohan whispered sitting next to vansh. Vansh was in his own world, as soon as Shravan took the name, he froze. Ridhima? Orphan? Is it her? He gulped trying to get a glimpse of the girl Shravan pointed at. Seeing him restless, Angre went to his side.
"Bhai, it's not a unique name, calm down" he spoke in his ears
"Come here, Riddhu" He heard Shravan call as he went forward and stretched his hands for her to take.

I know this is a cliffhanger!! I am sooo sorrry 🙈🙈
