Riddhima's POV

Later that Evening

I was going past Siya's room and I heard her talking to someone on the phone. I started wondering who might she be talking to so late at night. Unable to control my curiosity, I started eavesdropping.

Siya - "I love you! I can't wait to see you tonight."

My eyes widened as soon as I heard her. What the heck? Siya has a boyfriend? But, she never leaves the house. And how does no one know about it? Wait. Maybe she was just talking to a friend and I'm overthinking. It's pretty normal for friends to say I love you to each another. I should go before she sees me here. But, I need to find out who she was talking to. In order to find out who the person is, I need to spy on Siya tonight. I went to my room, only to see Vansh sleeping on the couch. I went closer to him and saw that Vansh was shivering. I touched his forehead and realized that he has a fever.

Riddhima - "Vansh wake up."

He woke up after I called his name a few times.

Vansh (Sleepy voice) - "Yea.. What happened."

Riddhima - "Vansh please sleep on the bed because you have a high fever. I don't want your condition to get worse."

Vansh nodded his head and he slowly started walking towards the bed. He was about to slip. But, I held him by his shoulders. I helped him lay down on the bed. I covered him with two blankets. He immediately fell asleep. I rubbed his feet and hands. I also made him wear socks. But, he was still shivering. I realized that there was only one option left. I need to give him body heat to him. I laid next to him and I hugged him. As I was providing body heat to him, I also fell asleep.

Vansh's POV

Next Morning

I woke up the next morning with Riddhima sleeping next to me. My arms were around her waist and she was also sleeping hugging me. I slowly removed her arms that were around me and went to the washroom to freshen up. After a few weeks, I came out of the washroom, only to see Riddhima still sleeping. I decided to wake her up since it was already 10 am and everyone must have finished eating their breakfast.

Vansh - "Riddhima wake up. It's 10 am and everyone must have finished their breakfast. What will they think?"

Riddhima (sleepy voice) - "Vansh please let me sleep for a few more minutes. I didn't sleep at all yesterday."

Vansh - "Riddhima, why don't you understand. We're already very late."

Riddhima (sleepy voice) - "Don't worry Vansh, we'll tell them that we couldn't sleep yesterday. Come you should also sleep since you had a high fever last night."

After completing her sentence, she suddenly pulled my arm and I fell on top of her. I couldn't stop myself from admiring her face. I pecked her forehead. She suddenly opened her eyes and was shocked to see me on top of her.

Riddhima - "Vansh, what are you doing on top of me."

Vansh - "You were the one who pulled me by my arm when I was trying to wake you up. Look at what time it is."

Riddhima - "Sorry Vansh. I should go now."

I quickly got up, so she could go freshen up. I changed my clothes and got ready for office while she was in the washroom. I started to make my way out of the bedroom as I saw the washroom door opening.

Riddhima - "Vansh, can you please help me tie the dori of my dress?"

I looked towards Riddhima and I saw her struggling with her dress' dori. I moved towards her and slowly moved her hair out of the way. Riddhima was breathing heavily as I was tying her dress' dori. She thanked me when I finished tying her dori. She moved to the dresser and I realized that she was going to apply her vermillion. I decided to help her with it and removed my ring from my finger. I used the ring to fill the partition in Riddhima's head with vermillion. As soon as I finished, I heard Dadi's voice.

Dadi - "Vansh Riddhima, are you guys fine? Why aren't you guys downstairs yet?" Everyone has already finished their breakfast.

I quickly opened the door and Riddhima also came towards the door.

Riddhima - "Sorry Dadi, we overslept today. Anyways Dadi, we both were getting ready and we were about to come downstairs."

Dadi (in a teasing tone) - "You guys are a married couple, so it's normal for you to oversleep."

Riddhima looked at me with widened eyes and I also looked at her.

Vansh - "No no Dadi, Riddhima didn't get a lot of sleep yesterday because I had a high fever."

Dadi (worried) - "How are you feeling now Vansh? Did your fever reduce now?"

Vansh - "Don't worry Dadi, I'm completely fine now. Riddhima took good care of me yesterday."

I looked at Riddhima, only to see her staring at the floor. I turned towards Dadi and said "Anyways, I'm getting late for office. I should go now."

Saying that I left the room and Dadi left towards her room.
