Oh yes.. This song.. If anyone asks me my most fav song in female voice then it's obviously "mera kuch samaan" which rules my heart along with "bahon mein chale aao"..

There is something in the song, may be in panchamda's music or in gulzar's lyrics or in asha ji's voice which just attaracts me like a magnet...

I love this song daz, just as much as you do.. Just cant say how much... Its magical.. its wonderful.. Its a masterpiece, i must say..

Thanks for sharing.. i wish everyone will start loving it from today, whoever did not hear it before..

Barb, when I was posting this song I had a feeling this song might be one of your favourites as well. šŸ¤— I think it was the trio of Asha Bhosle, RD Burman, and Gulzar. They each added in their own way to the masterpiece known as Mera Kuch Samaan. 😊 Have you seen the movie, Ijaazat? I really liked the story and Gulzar's direction. Baahon Mein Chale Aa is soft, sweet, and enchanting in its own way. Love the way Lata Mangeshkar sang that song as well! 😳

It's has a sensual effect too with the mixture of yearning for memories which gives it a magical impact. The entire song is like a piece of art created by the genius of R.D. and Gulzar.
I've watched Ijaazat several times apart from the brilliant acting of Naseer,Rekha and Anuradha Patel I'm pulled by the beautiful music and songs ...I love Katra Katra and Choti Si Kahani Se too .
Thanks dear for enchanting me once more with this beautiful song .

Mag, I had a feeling you were also very fond of this song.šŸ¤— I don't know if I should call it instinct, but I had an inkling some of you had already heard Mera Kuch Samaan and were in love just like me. ā¤ļø I first heard this song about 5 years ago. My parents are huge fans of music from the era of the 50's to the 80's and being them around them I've been exposed to all four legends quite a bit. šŸ˜† I was surprised I hadn't heard this song before, but I made an instant emotional connection with the tune and the lyrics. The music intrigued me to the point that I looked up Ijaazat on YouTube and I absolutely loved the movie. I also really like Khali Haath Shaam Aayi Hai. Rekha is my favourite actress from the 70's and 80's. 😃

Thank you dear for sharing this melody. It's my first time listening...
Yes, a soulful one as you say & with this trio...Gulzar, RD Burman & Asha...
Can one expect any less of a melody than this?
Once again you took me down memory lane of some great music in Hindi cinema
from the 70s & 80s, evergreen & melodious...
& with Naseer, I'm sure the movie must have been a good one too.

Appreciate your efforts

Glad you enjoyed that trip down memory lane, Mish! šŸ¤— The 70's and 80's made up the golden era of music in Bollywood. 😊 You're right Mish, Gulzar, RD Burman, and Asha Bhosle are all geniuses in their own way. A trio with an incredible amount of talent! 😃 If you get the time, you should watch Ijaazat. The movie is as good as the soundtrack. 😊

I do not know that this singer has a voice but so calming and so sensible that I enjoyed without reading the translation and then I read a translation of a beautiful song. Thank you for sharing this with us. You really have taste.

Thank you, Zaj! šŸ¤— I'm sure for you it was a different experience altogether. ā¤ļø Did you feel the sweetness and affection in her voice as she recounted her most cherished memories of her and her love? 😳 What I like the most about the lyrics is that she isn't complaining. There's a very strong attachment between both lovers that's evident in the song. 😊

Oh wow... It has been quite a a few months that we are interacting with each other and by now we are aware of each other's likes to some extentšŸ¤—
Yes that song of lata from Anamika is also my favourite.. It's very sweet and romantic..
And i have watched Ijazat some 3 years back with my mom.. Had liked the story.. All the 3 leads were good in their respective roles.. When the ML finally united with his wife, at one corner of my heart i did pity his ex gf too but then i was happy that the movie ended on a happy note and when there is a love triangle, one is certain to lose her love... Kaassshhh, only and if only rupali would have used her brain a bit more and brought something good out of vidha-kam triangle then neither the leap was needed, nor had the vamp become this unbearable.. Aahh.. Who won the battle i don't know but we, vidha and mishal fans, have lost it in the end..

Anyways.. loved ur comment dear..

I feel the same way, Barb! šŸ¤— Since we were all connected to Ishq and its story, I feel that we all have a better understanding of what the other likes. I've also discovered that many of you are fond of retro music. 😃 It's easier for me to make posts having an idea of what my friends like. 😳 Barb, did you notice how simple the stories were back then? This genre of cinema relies completely on its narrative and raw acting. There aren't any over-the-top effects, unrealistic characters, or loopholes that make the story unbelievable. Masoom is another film that comes to mind that has the same simplicity. 😊 Don't even get me started on Rupali. 😔 There was so much she could've done with IKRS and a male lead like Mishal. The woman's absolutely delusional and ruined a perfectly good show for her own ego. 😔 Some of us were okay with a separation, but none of us had asked for a leap or a new lead. If it weren't for this woman's overconfidence, we might've still been able to watch Mishal and Eisha work their magic.
