IKRS Monday 13th June 2016 ep 276 My Take The two faced demon.
Parents and carers act as a guardian angel for their child here on earth. They retrieve the child from the path of unseen dangers that lurk and pop out of nowhere around their child. As children thus, we look for protection, guidance, love and correction from our parent and carers. Eager and inclined we stand before our parents in troubled times, looking to them to save the day for us. It wouldn't be wrong to say that the bond between a child and its carer is one of strongest in terms of point of emotional, mental and social contact. The episode celebrates the interdependence , partnership, and support systems between child and a single parent, that of Vidha and Dhani and Dhani and Dulari.
The bubbly five year old flower fairy is unaware of the impending danger of the sliding suitcasethat heads precariously towards her. In time she is pulled to safety by her mother Dhani the queen of the flower fairies and her fairy godmother.Flower fairy is still in the stage of life where her sense of danger is not as sharp as an adults. Her mother just has to ensure she is about her flower fairy to protect her from day to day dangers. Frightened and needy the flower fairy clings to her mother's neck saved from the falling suitcase! saved from her mothers earlier scolding. All is well between her mother and herself. Dhani clings to Vidha like dear life itself. She looks at the pieces of the torn photo still between her pincer grip. Viplav's face, smiles at her through the scraps...he seems to say, Dhani try as you may , but he is the Ishq in her life! that its him she holds against her bosom at the moment.. the colour of my Ishq , Dhani will be before you ,with you in the form of our Ishq ..our Vidha! My flower fairy! Dhani's eyes well up with tears of misery, all she wanted was a peaceful life away from him! but it seems her past refuses to let go off her! Dhani muses.#The freshness and longevity of love is under discussion outside between Parsiya and his band of layabouts at the chai stall. One says as he flippantly pulls wilted petals of a near enough dead red rose, love fades away with the passage of time. Parsiya talks about being sincere and constant in love, falling in love once and then being faithful to the girl ,not flitting from girl to girl. His friends poke fun at his pointless pompous words as ,he still hasn't pulled up the nerve to express his feelings to Dhani. Parsiya confesses he is afraid to admit his feelings before Dhani for fear of her rejection! Besides by speaking his heart out to Dhani he might even sour his amicable relationship with her family that he loves. His friends tease him , then fine ! he can stay mum and someone else can come into her life one day and whisk her out of his life forever. Parsiya does believe that no one is likely to come into Dhani's life ,that he is pretty sure off! however he does feel he shouldn't defer the matters of his heart any longer.. tomorrow he needs to speak to Dhani.. once again it can be seen how as humans the decisions in our life seem to be influenced by peer pressure too..
The challenges of being a single mum. Vidha's disturbed sleep pattern suggests to her mother and nan what the five year old NEEDS in her life.. which glaring gap she identifies .The child mumbles in her sleep demon uncle.. no she doesn't want to go anywhere else. Dulari looks at the sleeping flower fairy , she is troubled. Dulari feels it's about time a few home truths are told to her own daughter Dhani regards her shaky , undeclared ,unspoken relationship with Viplav.dulari touches upon the sensitive area of side effects children of disputing parents undergo. How the child gets caught in the shaky relationship between its conflicting parents and even end up by being a weapon used to hurt each other. Where a young child is put in a position between the two parents. However..things perhaps may not match with Dhani and Viplav's situation!as they never lived together, as a family! It may just be worse! as Viplav and Vidha are unaware of their familial significance ! Dhani needs to be corrected! Morally she is in the wrong. Denying both father and daughter their right to know about each. Dulari relates bringing dhani up a child as a single parent. The difficulties she faced. Dulari argues,Dhani is duty bound as a parent to honour her daughters request if she yearns to meet the demon king as he really is the flower fairy's father. Denying Vidha the joy of seeing her father, might not go down well with a five year old ,as Vidha is too young to understand the complicated issues. Plus Dhani needs to tell Viplav too that he is Vidha's father. The flower fairy thus becomes the compelling factor of Ishq between her and her demon king.Dulari spells out the equal rights that both a father and mother have over a child! Dhani listens as Dulari reminds her not to commit a mistake that she would have to regret later on in life.To soften Dhani s broken heart Dulari draws her attention to the fact that the little flower fairy , repeated her demon uncle's name and cried herself to sleep... as a mother Dhani's heart melts away.. may be what her own mother points out is right and that she is in the wrong? That she should let her daughter meet her father? Is he deserving?
How much he misses his flower fairy.. she conjures up in his moments of solitude, brings a smile on his grim countenance! did she want to say something to him ?he recalls, she had replied spontaneously , yes demon! your anger is bigger than your size! She had scolded him! how he turned from a demon into a mouse! Viplav smiles as he recalls, she is one after his own heart, places bets just like him! that she accepts with a warning, watch he'll lose! now he leans forward and calls out no he'll not box of complaints !.. The demon king wakes up rudely from his reverie.. she's not here! but only a figment of his imagination . His previously beaming face darkens now as he sits alone in his room, morose, he is not related in any way to the flower fairy then why time and again he feels there is something? Some link he has with this sugar plum fairy.. he looks baffled into empty space searching for an answer.. is it the call of blood for blood? The colour of Ishq is to find parts that will make him whole my beloved!
The colour of Ishq is to use foul means to snatch Ishq and make it fair!the wicked witch gets in touch with Tripurari the war lock.. to plan yet another devious move.Sure enough. she sneers, this will be her final move, her trump card! which will keep Dhani and Viplav apart from each other for the rest of their lives. May be soo, but will the wicked witch reap the award of winnng Viplav's unconditional love?
First thing in the morning life is so busy for the flower fairy , she has the hard task of choosing what to wear? Its a girl thing! her mum is taking her to meet demon uncle , about time his jacket is retuned! so many dresses to chose from!how about the red and white one? Vidha asks her nan's opinion as she holds it against her chubby body, she is the ladoo of her nan's eyes.. Vidha looks good in anything she wears! Little girls love praise, Dulari knows she has one too..dhani! Dhani turns up as the single mother who has to work harder than normal mums , to win back her flower fairy with a gift! It's still about dress selection for Vidha... but it's what her child says next that brings tears back into Dhani's life.. inspite of all the diversions , her flower fairy still goes on about meeting her demon uncle, what should she wear that he would like her in?... even after five years of separation ,he may have left her.. but he now he revives himself in Vidha's life Dhani stares at her child's anticipating face .. will her mother take her to meet the uncle demon?.. yes she has lived the life of being separated from him.. yes she has shed her tears for her.. revived his memories.. all gone.. but now the colour of Ishq is the smile on her Vidha's face.. mum! She breaks the train of Dhani's thoughts, where's the frock in the bag? .. frock? Dhani is away with the fairies.. memories .. moments from the past he stands before her ,his impish eyes studying her..she moves her hair from her face tucks if behind her ear, what is he staring at? She's not looking alright? like a good husband he had replied, she always looks great..its just that doesn't she get bored of wearing a sari all the time? Dhani had retorted but this sari she has worn for the first time. Dhani recalls how with a twinkle in his eyes he suggested other apparels he'd would have like to have see her in jeans, shirts the whole world girls dress up like that etc and she of course had turned him down! he had accepted, fine she looks beautiful in a sari , but when they have a daughter, she'd better not dress her up in fancy loose frilly frocks! matching shoes ,matching socks, clips ,bows and hair bands! He argued and Dhani had sedately replied ,but that's how girls dress up as... now Dhani recalls how he was adamant that he would be choosing his daughters wardrobe besides his daughter will dress up exactly the way he wants her to be... Dhani had asked him how come he knows they'll have a daughter? could be a son ..dhani recalls how he stuck to his ground no he knows he will first have a daughter, she'll be different from all, strong , stubborn and confident like him! in looks she'll be stunning like her, but in character she will be just like him spot on and smart! take a look at this picture this is what she'll look like! a little girl dressed in a top and dungaree shorts! ...dhani now looks at Vidha, the fruit of Viplav's words spoken in her memories.. endless tears and sighs, as the separation hangs on..dhani had smiled at his prattle. Dhani has even brought the dungaree shorts and blouse for her! Vidha even looks at it keenly.. no!.. he had hurt her, in fact both of them.. he needn't know about her.Dhani abruptly fumes and has a change of heart why should she give him a cryptic message by dressing Vidha in the kind of clothes he wanted his daughter to wear?.. fickle minded and somewhat disturbed she takes away the dungaree from Vidha and asks her to wear the lovely red and white dress she had chosen..forget the dungarees..but stubborn five year flower fairy like the demon king! insists she wants the informal casual clothes, no mum these clothes even demon uncle will surely like! Dhani stares helplessly in space.. dear god without even knowing him, their flower knows what her father was likely to be inclined towards. Dhani gives in, as she looks down at their little flower, fine go wear it .. you want to meet demon... slips out of her mouth. Flower fairy picks up the slip her mother's tongue! Demon ?who? mine is called demon uncle! are there two demon uncles then? one is yours?and one is mine? Vidha chirps, takes her change of clothes and dashes off..Dhani puts her hand of her heart ,it bleeds and her eyes yet again speak the language of silent pain..you are right my darling child, there are two demons. One side is your demon uncle, who loves Vidha a lot. Then there's mamma's demon, my flower fairy..who gives your mother pain since many years..Dhani silently contains her ongoing hurt in her heart..
Mothers can see through the suffering of their child. Dulari sees Dhani still needs support and asks her about it.dhani shares on the one hand she understands Vidha needs to meet her father. But on the other hand her heart has reservations too. Dulari understands Dhani's dilemma and empowers her that what she aims to do is a noble act as each role has its own significance. What she can give Vidha as a mother , her father cannot replace and vice versa. Dulari reiterates the value of both parents input in a child's life. Viplav is the father who has rights over his daughter. Vidha too has the right to have access to her father's love ,not just her mother's whom she lives with. The child between conflicting parents should not be used to vent of parents anger towards each other!..dhani wants to argue! But Vidha in the clothes Viplav dreamt of seeing his daughter in stops her from speaking.. for the colour of Ishq is now to feel like a mother ,Ishq! Ishq! is wiping away tears , and bringing a smile on a father and daughters face. Dulari blesses both Dhani and Vidha as they leave to meet Viplav.
Dhani wants lord Shiva's support..she stops by his temple. Vidha goes off to play in the courtyard . Dhani prays, for strength from the vibrant, great god Shiva! Shiv ji will make Dhani realize her own mettle. He allows Dhani to face the she devil Kamini! shiva empowers Dhani she will chant in her heart Om nimas Shiva! Om! Om! and circumambulate around the shivling .. Kamini hounds Dhani like an evil spirit but she cannot break through Dhani's praise of lord Shiva ..Om.Om.. while evil follows Dhani.. Shiva holds her from giving into this witch! frustrated the witch tries to break Dhani's worship..om! om! Goes Dhani.. Lord shiva stands by Dhani the witches words can be heard, she is married to viplav. has a son... dhani is human she hurts .. but does not fall as Lord Shiva gives her strength. He hears, sees all dhani..stand firm.. stand firm
did not find it important to cover the last scene the she devil is like a broken record..have shown dhani prayer to Lord Shiva rather then listen to temptating evil.. overall another good episode. its good to see dhani in the role of a young mother.. the sorts ofchallenges she faces in terms of parenting and her own marriage in limbo.. hamlet53 14.6.16
