Thought of the day...Practice what you preach !!!

It is pretty easy to give preaching to people but when it is meant to be applied on oneself it becomes very very difficult...because the implementation becomes different from person to person .If one looks at another's point of view then one will understand how and why one takes a particular path.It is very easy to judge someone without knowing the facts.

Why do people say something and do not implement on themselves?? Is it not equivalent to practicing duplicity??? Then its better not to suggest something. What one has to go through one alone knows unless another is in the same path one will not know how it feels to go through that path.

Today Shalu tells her mother to let viplav go out of the house if he wishes to ... he has become a puppet in the hands of dhani ...then what has she become ???? How different is she ??? What applies to viplav why can't it apply to shalu ?? She can tell viplav to stay away from dhani then why can't she stay away from raja ??? Has she ever tried to understand dhani how difficult it must have been for dhani go through such a phase of life in the hell called avasthi nivas .

It was easy to judge dhani but when fingers are pointed at her shalu over reacts . wow simply wow. It applies to kanak as well the tea which she served to DL and badi ma what if she is served in the same glass cup ??? Then she becomes the rich lady of the house?? Just great.

It's a good thing that viplav and dhani are going through such a rough phase together and they are indeed practicing what they are trying to preach...Words which have no intention of doing something or one who doesn't mean it have no significance at all.

Very well written as always...I m in love how ur analysing the episode and bringing out one aspect of it n a discussion on that!!!
Ur post reminded me of my mom sayin which she keeps on telling now n then in correcting us...

APNI PEET APNE KO DIKHAYI NAHI DETI...!!!n this is exactly true...Very much easy to judge and pass a commenton others ,laugh ,make fun ,taunt but how often do we look or correct ourselves???...Tis is the reality ...n its not jus in the show but we must had been subjected to hypocrisy one or the other time...

Great and insightful thought Swathi.

It is indeed a hard thing for many to practice what they preach. Because preaching comes from people that very rarely look within themselves to see themselves making the mistakes they see in others. It is their "Holier than thou Attitude " that makes them feel superior to others and makes them pass judgement on them.

Shaalu is so wrapped up in her hurt and bitterness that she is incapable of seeing anybody's pain but her own. She wants others to feel as miserable as she does and feel cheated when she sees her brother and Dhaani so in love and happy. In Shaalu's case it is Tit for Tat, you hurt me then it is fair that I do the same to you.

Kanak on the other hand is so full of herself that she considers everyone else and thinks she is so above others that she absolutely enjoys making people feel small and insignificant.
Kanak would be aghast if anyone treated her like she treats others. She thinks she is God's gift on this earth and all the rest are there to her bidding. Pure arrogance.

Even D T who is a Maha Pundit and preaches to all that they have to follow the traditions and be pious in their belief , is actually doing the complete opposite by cheating and lying and plotting murder for his benefit. Pure Hypocrisy .

Absolutely pearl100.
I totally agree ... It's so difficult to put yourself in others shoes and understand their plight.
But for shalini's benefit... She actually doesn't know what happened with dhaani. She is blinded in love... And she will get it back for sure.
Yes... I like the positivity that the lead couple is getting into the serial. I was all ready for Viplav to be apologetic and sorry for shalini's behavior and dhaani giving the same pativrata stree dialogues... But no... The conversation between the two was so beautiful. No other serial cud have taken such a stand.
It amazes me ... As to the level of pride and respect the couple carry for each other... They need to say nothing to each other and you can still feel the emotion... Wow. That's quite commendable to me.

Coming to shaalu... I hope the recap is a trap by Viplav and dhaani to open shalini's eyes... I hope she doesn't get early married to raja.

hi swati, quite a thought provoking post, was meaning to read it yesterday but couldn't do so.. loved your title too.. well itsalways dead easy to preach than to practice. Practice involves making adjustments to one's way of life, changing a mindset.. that is no easy feast. However if the preacher beileves wholly in what he /she professes then..they have to lead by example! only then will the theory of mere words be evident. viplav and dhani have certain stances laid down in their lives by each's particular life style and commonalitity of faith that they practice rather than preach... their actions speak louder than words!will kanak and the rest see this couple actions? and learn from their children is yet to be seen?..
thanks for a superb post , much love hammie

Sorry for the delay ...Thank you for your response meher 😃...What your mother reminds you is very true...people do judge quite easily without knowing fully fledged facts and they resort to blame games...it's better one looks after one's own defects rather than wasting time in pointing out at others.
