We rarely find charactars like dhaani and Viplav in the patriarchal society we live in. Shalini is definitely not an exception. She is just another of those innumerable souls in India who feel left out in a predominantly male decision making world.

Yes she is blinded by the attention raja is giving her... But again, is she to be blamed? I don't think so... God has his own ways of showing right over wrong... Shalini will eventually realize her mistake.

But then... It may cost her a lot. I won't be surprised if the cvs make shalini go thru the pains dhaani went and how she eventually kills raja. That will be an icing on the cake for the serial as well as shalini's charactar. Viplav can surely save shalini in the context of self defense and living life with dignity. This will not only open her eyes ...but will change her attitude towards life. She may then walk hand in hand with dhaani and Viplav to make the changes society needs. To get rid of nuisances in our society that treat woman as just another piece of crap.

Hi Swathi ( I think I have the name right )

I have been reading a lot of your meaningful posts recently and the food for thought that you provide.

The one on the duplicity and rules of society that you wrote about on the Holi episode was one post I had started to respond but it got lost while typing. it was a good one.

The Mind is blind... I would rather say that the mind is Fogged or clouded.

When something happens , good or bad, the mind takes shape accordingly . In Shallu's case her mind is fogged by the humiliation she has had to face for no fault of hers. She tells her brother - that you back Dhani and look after her , Raja too left the alter mid way ...what about me ? She is in pain and while Viplav & Dhani are trying to reach out to her she is unable to distinguish between good and bad.

Time will heal her wounds and it will take some time for the fog to lift. We all hope that she can before it is not too late .

heloo swati.. pardons for coming late was terribly busy all saturday,sunday.. funny you should say the mind is blind... may be it is where the heart is concerned. shalu is a character very dear to my hear,tsimply because she is a daughter of the manor as opposed to the son.. plus due to her being a girl and unattractive due to her weight..she comes across as a child suffering from neglect.. never was allowed college ,uni campus life..I assume . Her marriage was always on the cards and in the soceity she hails from.. her wedding would be before her older brother... first one fell through..second one was almost there, and it was stopped by a brother who got married before her.. regardless of the jerk raja . I too would be bitter it was her chance to start life a newaway from her abusive mother.. dhani should tell shalu what raja tried to do to her... today she told shalu dont let himcome near you.. dhani needs to be a little more explict next time...

Hey Meher true kanak is totally responsible for all sorts of negative thoughts about dhani and she is responsible for lack of confidence in shalu. But I hope she listens to viplav with a clear mind at least for once and think what is good for her and what is bad.

Hey revathirk some lessons are learnt in a hard way ...dhani should spell out her experiences and make her realize how wrong shalu is about raja. IT may take a while for her to listen to dhani but I hope listens and learns.

Hello akruti20 the main thing which viplav and dhani want is shalu to understand the true colors of raja. Viplav will never allow shalu to marry raja at all. And as far as shalu is concerned I hope even If she takes time let her realize the avasthi's are very dangerous to her and her family. But I simply don't want her to get married to raja at all. She may be foolish but she is not some evil.

Hey pearl thank you for liking and replying...you are right shalu getting married is what nobody wants. I hope viplav finds solid proof against raja and show the true colors to the tripathi's.
