IKRS Thursday 10th March 2016 ep 185 My Take ~ the whistle blower?
Our name is what gives us an identification in society. However, the Bard challenges this in the story of the star crossed lovers Romeo and Juliet where Romeo says the famous words 'what's in a name, that which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet'' meaning it's the person behind the name that one falls in love with! As known, both lovers deny and reject their family names for each other.. so for me in the extended episode , is seen a poor widow /cum wife. Cum sister in law .. under two "name sakes" Dhani and Suman.. Viplav will have to work out for himself who out of the two is the person under the names of Suman and Dhani is the one he loves?
Horrified Dhani blocks the ashram door from the inside, with her whole body.. From head to toe she resists her past from entering into her present and her future. Raja on her door step is about to knock at the door to make an entry into Dhani's life.But the oldest widow Sita maa, like a guardian angel from the heavens! Arrives outside the ashram, and asks the stranger who he is and what is his business. He asks if Suman lived at the ashram and sita mai says no . Before he could argue his phone rings, and sita mai goes in . Frustrated, Raja grinds his teeth , he knows she lives here , now her sketch too is made and she has fat chance of getting away from him this time ,besides no one can save her from him now! Dhani dashes off too her room highly traumatized! Locks herself in ,hyperventilates! As she recalls that dreaded moment when she faced him. His accusations she murdered his brother! His cruel hands around her neck seem so real and she is gripped by terror! He will get her banged up! Convicted for something she didn't do cries Dhani!
Viplav thanks the pandit for his office's inaugural worship. He is on a high , a king of his new legal services office. He ensures along with his helpers that everything is in place. Raja enters the office Dhani's sketch in hand ready to be handed over to Viplav for investigations! But as soon as Raja steps in , Viplav's phone on one of the desks vibrates, both with Dhani's name and mug shot.. what destiny! with such ease a simple vibration alerts Raja and reveals before him the biggest breaking news he could wish for ,astounded he looks at the picture on the phone then across to the pottering Viplav, confirms silently to him self .. this Suman is Viplav's Dhani? he has to immediately change his stratagem , the search for Suman will continue for the minute but not under the name of Dhani before Viplav... and for starters he will not let Viplav's Dhani get through to Viplav as he jolly well knows what she is likely to tell him.. and those truths he wants to keep under the carpet ,muses Raja and slyly blocks Dhani's number on Viplav's phone! then he stares at Suman for him and Dhani for Viplav's photo and recalls she was the girl in the red veiled sari, the girl Viplav chatted up at the mandir; its about her he said, no misunderstandings can come between then.. no.. he cannot let Viplav sense, that he knows and so alongside blocking the phone , he crunches up Dhani's sketch! But Viplav saunters over and wonders why Raja has scrunched up the sketch.. Raja watches Viplav trying to level the sketch by his palms, Raja wonders, he believes in this girl more than himself ,he will never believe him.. so Raja deduces, its best not to let Viplav see Suman's sketch and he grabs the scrunched up paper from Viplav's hands, and hook winks Viplav ,no she's not the girl who killed his brother the , the sketch artist misinterpreted what he wanted , this girl is not the one! Viplav has no issues, he says he has other details about this girl to go by, and in no time he'll sort his case out now that he has his own office.. so Raja is beginning to show grey shades and the act of blocking Dhani's number on Viplav's phone is his first weapon he wields at Suman.after the shocking revelation that he has stumbled across.. Dhani is desperate to contact Viplav and she panics at the ashram !while Raja muses , she can buzz and try to contact Viplav but he will never let her get through to Viplav.. he grinds his teeth, he knows what to do with , changing her name will never save her from what he'll make sure she gets! Punished for what she did, muses Raja..
Raja's modus operandi now is to win over Viplav with his sentimentalism, slowly he wishes to impress Viplav with his bereavement and grieving by his influencing Viplav..gradually building in his mind hatred towards Dhani/Suman..he emotionally blackmails him but firstly playing on their formed relationship ..that he wants to share his grief with him.. Raja shows him the watch that his dead brother gave him on his birthday ..the watch symbolizes, Raja's past that he wishes to dig up to create times of chaos between Viplav and Suman's present with implications for their future too..raja cries and tells him Suman has destroyed their family and what she did eats himselfinside and he breaks down before Viplav in tears, he tries to manipulate Viplav before hand and prepares him that he won't believe. that a girl like Suman can murder someone.. let her not beguile him! Raja gives Viplav crafty looks as he weeps ,once he sees her , he find her face full of innocence! But behind her innocent face lies a heinous face that he is familiar with..with it she can deceive any one ,like she deceived his family,he might not believe him , may be when she comes before him ,he might turn around and say this girl cannot kill any one! Raja weeps and Viplav walks over to him and consoles Raja , he understands what it feels like to lose someone and then be at a loss to get his killer punished, hard stuff to deal with, but he shouldn't worry , as he's not one of those lawyers who gets taken in by innocents faces.. Viplav assures a devious, Raja who appears content that Viplav will not be swayed by the fact that Suman in actual fact is his Dhani! .. The scene is Raja's credible performance of crocodile tears , false tears, completely an insincere show of grief..at his brother's death. Also, it's interesting to hear the yarns he spins , extended stories and possible series of lies he rattles off in front of Viplav,against Suman in the hope of influencing Viplav's judgment.
The lovers still manage to communicate..Dhani gets through to Viplav at last, from a public phone booth.. and Raja watches furtively.. no problem! Dhani got to him now.. the important thing was that he got to Viplav first! so he could prime Viplav against this Suman~ Dhani ,before she got him , Viplav wants to know why isn't she using her mobile to ring him? she replies she couldn't get through to him from her mobile.. she needs to see him but not at the ashram somewhere outside .. Viplav decides they'll meet at the mandir.
Raja retaliates by playing mind games with Dhani! A desperate Dhani waits for Viplav at the temple, instead she gets a visit from a primed up stranger who addresses her as Suman babhi asking her how she was? Dhani is visibly distressed and vehemently refuses her name is not Suman! In horror Dhani runs off! as Raja pays the actor and muses how long will Suman run from him.. a disturbed Dhani runs like the wind back to the refuge of her ashram! Viplav arrives at the temple Dhani is not there..the whole world may turn against her ,but her mother will always be there to support her. It's enough for Dhani to tell her mother that her past has once again come before her.. she tried to tell Viplav about it he was meant to meet her but he didn't turn up , Dhani says she's told him every thing.. Dulari didn't think it was a good idea as Viplav and Raja don't know each other.. but Dulari does tell Dhani clearly , that even if Raja bad mouths her..she has full faith that Viplav will not believe him , but will trust in what she says..inspite of everything, Dulari's faith in Viplav's integrity is praise worthy, her trust in her son in law.
More mind games by Raja to disturb Dhani.. an unwanted gift from an unwanted past! This time a wrapped gift from him, he gave to Raj laxmi..she couldn't quite catch what the name was. Dhani keeps it in the room but clarifies it's not meant for her.. his idea is to fray Dhani's nerves now that he knows where she lives.. peace will be far removed from her, as its punishment time! Dhani startles at every sound.. but after rajlaxmi leaves Dhani tries to take the gift wrapping off but suddenly , to her horror she hears the tune Raja used to whistle.. now a whistle that by its sound makes her catch her death in tremendous fear. She has a FB of Raja whistling the tune in her ears making passes at her! that which made her uncomfortable.. Does the tune Dhani recalls , suggest, that Raja was an obsessive lover who disregarded that she was his older brother's wife.. Horror strikes her a shadow falls on the window which opens and in drops Viplav.. whistling the tune that Raja use to whistle. Dhani hides her face in fright!.. in style he ends his whistling and spins her in a twirl! then, one look at Dhani's face as white as a sheet , forces him to say what's the matter ?looking at her face frightens him! she fumbles she was thinking something .He moans why she didn't turn up at the mandir? she says she s terribly frightened , like someting awful is about to happens. Viplav smiles and brushes her worries aside, she needn't worry now , they're married! even her mum knows too .But Viplav can see she's still frightened like a little rabbit and he reminds her calmly , remember what he once said, that the more she is frightened , the more people will attempt to frighten her, it's the sort of world they live in but , if she faces her fear stoically that fear will flee from her , he reminds her of how once she tackled Phool Chand ! and that tripurari too! he empowers her! and then he wants to check her phone out why it was not connecting? Then he realizes that his number had been blocked and he fixed it without a problem.. Viplav appears to be laid back and relaxed.. how can Dhani not fear this time? it was easy to face Phool Chand ,tripurari.. they were not directly family.. with Raja, she has to think twice about putting up a fight before him as his sister's wedding is implicated.. Raja happens to be his brother in law..
Raja comes looking for Viplav in his room.. who's not there.. Raja is anxious , hopes he hasn't gone to meet Suman and hopes Suman doesn't tell the truth about him, as that'll ruin everything. Then he wonders if she got the packet he sent her..? Raja has some nasty past he is worried about. Is he going to use ways to keep Dhani from opening her mouth?
Viplav fixes her phone and revives their communication lines especially in emergency..he tells her with his inimitable beaming smile, Mrs. Viplav tirpathi .. its fixed now, phone him when she likes and he be with her in a jiffy! Then he spots the gift insists they open it! she tells him it's not hers but wants to open it any way! as he pulls the cello-tape apart, his phone rings and he stops!its Raja desperate to see him! wants to tell him something urgent!come home rightaway! Viplav heeds..before he goes he gives Dhani a kiss on her forehead , empowering her with the surge of his love!tells her not to fear! firmly , fight her fear! says, he wont leave via the window sneak out of the front door!
Dhani unwraps the present ... its a piece of blood stained pointed glass with a note,with a single word written in blood.. she holds up the piece of glass and stares at some horrific incident of the past , her hand trembles, it drops and shatters on the floor.. Viplav's words come back to her..fight fear! in defiance she wipes her sweaty brow . The phone rings..it's the obsessive Raja , she picks up the phone, hears, the haunting tune.. frightening her! terrorizing her.. she stutters .. who is it?? Raja rocks in his rocking chair having a rocking time, playing mind games with her..greetings bhabi ji..looks like she hasn't recognized his typical whistle.. he says, it's her brother in law Raja awasthi .hamlet53 11.3.16
Interesting episode.. true colours of RA.. waiting for dhani's resounding slap across raja's face today.. dhani 's physical assualt at the hands of the awasthi family..
