This post maybe
But what the hell !
Would like to express my views, anyway
Considering there has been a glimmer of hope
This Saturday!
CVs, has the mindless nonsense finally come to an end?
Has the voice of reason finally spoken?
Does loyalty in viewership matter?
Or is just about a tick mark exercise?
Ke aur ek episode likh liya
Aur ek week survive kar liya
Story ka kuch ata pata nahin
Talented leads ke bare main sochna
Toh kabka chod diya!
Have a simple and basic question to ask?
Sab kuch karke toh dekh liya
TRPs have not exactly shot through the ceiling
Wouldn't it be wiser then
To stand for what IKRS had originally set out to epitomise
A story with a VISION
A Love Story with a DIFFERENCE
Where even the protagonist is named VIPLAV
Where is that STIR then, if not the REVOLUTION?
Where is the CONFLICT set against the backdrop of Banaras?
Where is the CHAOS of daring to love out of the ordinary?
Where is the TURBULENCE of
ISHQ KA RANG SAFED??!!
As we stand on the all important crossroads
A fervent plea
Please do NOT convert IKRS into a regressive and crappy saas-bahu drama from this point on
A better option is to shut shop in a dignified manner!
Am going a step further with some WISHFUL THINKING instead...
Since we all hope for Milestones and More with a heartfelt resurrection
Can we most sincerely ensure the following?
- Can Viplav at least now, finally come of age?
- Can the strong and intelligent Viplav emerge and be here to stay?
- Can Dhani stand up for what is now rightfully hers?
- Can Dhani get a little more worldly wise, and use her innate maturity to better use?
- Can Viplav and Dhani continue to empower themselves? e.g. Viplav, with a career and Dhani, with an education?
- Can there be a sanity check on the good versus evil fight?
- Can we be spared the torture of ludicrous MUs and baseless separations?
- If need be, can a new 'B' emerge? Banaras moves to Boston, and the Barriers therein!
Is this a tall order?
Given the circumstances that currently surround us...
Maybe, Yes!
That's why the post
To be pleasantly surprised!
Sincerely Hope and Pray
For IKRS to be back on track again
If not for anything else
For the absolutely ADORABLE ViDha
And the immensely GIFTED MiSha
Who deserve nothing but the very BEST!
So, here's hoping and praying
For ISHQ to be on top of the game
Once Again!
😊
Cheers!

Hmmm a thought provoking post...but as tahsin already stated we had been diverted many times from the o the original plot n with no trps increase...the pressure for numbers have loosened the storyline n mediocre plots attimes...!! hoping from now onwards atleast we are back on line as one of the important phase of Vidha the lovers have culminated into Vidha the companions, soulmates!!

agree the damage is irreversible. can't believe the show makers can pass this saas bahu rubbish off as the taboo of widow remarriage..

Thanks Doc for this topic, I don't like to comment on many post these days as I feel they have let us down badly, story wise, but appreciate the effort of the forum members to keep the positive attitude I had to come and say I agree with you 100%...

So Doc this is what I think.
TV shows are women oriented and do not have a lot of strong male protagonist. Its always the female lead.
I understand that Mishal's last show was that of a strong character and though Viplav set out to be one revolutionary guy all that he has been used for is romancing the girl . Now with the marriage will it change ..I am very skeptical.
Infact my view is if they do make him strong and sensible along with Dhani then the TRPs have a chance of rising. Mishal fans will be back to watch him what he is capable of.
I fear Dhani will now become Joan of Arc gradually changing everyone and showing Vip the way to calm his impulsiveness and anger . Eisha at this point does not have the presence that will command viewers to watch her singularly . They need a strong actor as Mishal. What will be interesting to see if he will be satisfied being a chocolate hero .
the focus truly should be VIplav going ahead and how he deals will all the things he is unaware of . keepings fingers crossed .

Doc ,

Can understand , instead of jumping into conclusion , letz wait and watch . for the orginal epsidoe to air . .

As per me .. Itni jaldi , shaadi .. No ways ..

Now it is viplov turn to become hero what everyone wants to see..

You know what, I was watching the very first episode for the nth time a few days back and was stuck by the prologue and the voice over which says that "iss Kahani ki nayika hain Dhani jo ek vidwa hain...lekin Dhani ki niyati kuch aur hain... Dhani ko pyar aur atmasamman sab milti hain aur who missal banjati hain doosri vidwaoke liye...".(pardon my hindi which is atrocious)
So in retrospect what I think is that it was from the very beginning going to be the journey of Dhani from a young submissive widow reconciled to her fate to someone who comes into her own and attains the love and respect that she deserves. It was woman centric from the start.
What was wonderful was that despite this basic premise we had a strong male protagonist who influences the meek and gentle widow to emerge strong through his unconditional love and support. Till a certain time the writers stuck to this and this was what made the story refreshing and unique but they lost their bearings in their storytelling time and again and what of late what emerged was a vacillating and gullible hero totally different from the street smart and intuitive if somewhat arrogant male protagonist . Hopefully the cvs are back on track again . However what I think is that this story will always be more about Dhani than Viplav.
I also don't think that it will turn into a regular saas bahu drama if the cvs execute it properly from now on.
This is only my personal opinion., just my view.
