The power to rule with an iron rod over weaklings is the dream and wanting with every dictator. It's a mad thirst for control! whereby one has the power to make people dance to their tune ,their own set agenda. It's all about playing politics and checkmate !,game plans and moves where means justify the end.. it's Kanak today all the way..she has a great teacher from whom she has learnt a few tricks of the trade. has been given the chance, so she wants to play politics today. Mission exterminate Dhani!
Kanak the smooth operator puts her plan to capture the scapegoat rightaway .. Durga her protector has to be removed. Kanak uses all the guile in her bag of tricks ranging from showing respect, remorse and the need for prayer to ward off evil for her son and Dhani. She reveals spiritual yearning that she craves for, but cannot avail due to domestic commitments , craftily Durga's elbow is literally bent to perform pilgrimage to Mathura on Kanak's behalf.. she even assures the godly Durga that she would look out for Suvarna welfare for her..
Thus commences act one of rocking Dhani Viplav 's boat. The sleazy man who made passes at Suvarna at the engagement party is planted in Suvarna's bed in her house. In shock she kicks him out and as primed, the hired actor creates a din and gathers a crowd and clearly slurs her honour that her husband is in prison,while she earns her own living by selling herself ! now here she quarrels over her rate! wants more money that was agreed!
Suvarna's pleas she's innocent! and this man lies! falls on deaf ears! as is common in society and credence is given to marks made on his body as a testimony of her guilt. Kanak watches the scene from the sides and evaluates all is going according to plan..that more planned fun is underway too! .. the idea is to show how easy it is to publically ridicule and question the virtue of a woman who is minus male protection! Mid way the need to provide a contrasting scene arises, to heighten this set up Suvarna's public humiliation.. so comic relief follows..
Kanak's son too barges or rather goes over the wall at Dhani 's house. Gags Dulari with a blanket who cleans lentils in the court yard , cuddles her! tells her he loves her! and now it's her turn to tell him she loves him! Dhani turns up before him and questions viplav , what is he doing ? vilplav with his arm around the draped figure is gobsmacked and confused at the sight of Dhani and asks foolishly ,Dhani if you're here then who is that? A flustered Dulari lifts the blanket he threw over her and goes bachwa ji ! and Viplav squeals ..nearly loses his voice and like an idiot with glazy eyes he presses his palm against his mouth to stop him self from yelling ..but Dulari yells at him what is with you bachiwa ji ??when are you going to grow up? and what's with this lub u lub u? Viplav beats his brow and rolls his eyes, gawwd what a complete prat! I look like! and he turns to Dhani with a giggle; she adds you said eye love you to maiye? he giggles and replies, she sat just like you do, and you both look alike too ,so honest mistake!..andthen pulls out the ring from his pocket, oh this what I really came for , like it? give me your hand ..there..he slides it on her finger tenderly and asks romantically.. it doesn't hurt does it? and she shyly says no.. the brief romantic interlude ends by the phone call Viplav receives , his brow furrows and his eyes contracts as he takes on board the message..
Small mob of both men and women barge into her home it's vandalized by the crazy crowd, women grab her! and drag her out of her home! and stand around her ready to lynch her! there are cries from men who turn violent and threaten to throw Suvarna out of her home, community and village! she begs on her knees..the image of a helpless woman, or as in this case a vulnerable one, whose honour is unprotected due to her husband being imprisoned. This is the scenario that Kanak wants to promote. Kanak arrives when suvarna falls at people's feet with cries that she is innocent! Kanak acts like the true replica of Dashrant as and when he faces a crowd to calm them down. Likewise she is hypocritical ,she plays politics! After orchestrating the whole plan she now comes to Suvarna as a guardian angel to protect her from the hungry crowd ! says she knows the girl, she's decent! But after whipping up the crowd well and good .. she is pleased to see they will punish Suvarna! One of them throws her aside and Viplav turns up and traumatized Suvarna clings to Dhani.. then Viplav roars at the men! Banaras does not belong to them! useless men!forever ready to pounce on women! take one more step forward and he'll beat them black and blue that they'll flee Banaras! get lost! before he gets the police to lock the lot up!.. shame faced the rabble disperses ,but kanak glares at her son..
Part 2 of the scene begins Suvarna cries and gives her defence she's innocent! and Viplav goes over and grabs a shawl and tells Dhani to put it over her friend..so an inkling that Dhani maybe the one to protect her.As Viplav takes her in the safety of her house ...Kanak has the opportunity to bend Dhani's ears so she can make the demands from Viplav and contention may sprout between the two which is the original plan.. she makes Dhani aware rather craftily ,that Suvarna being a married lives a life of widow due to her husband and protector being in prison . This meant that Suvarna's virtue is exposed to all sorts of evil eyes and wagging tongues.. she stirs the pathos in Dhani and plants the seed that she has the power to make a difference to Suvarna's present exposed state of affairs!
Inside the house Suvarna pleads before viplav... get her husband released from person, had he been around her today ,none would have dared to do what they did.. Kanak watches slyly will her son give way? Viplav's face looks grim and firm.. suvrna cries , falls at his feet .. she is alone.. Raj laxmi comes running in to her rescue! Consoles her they all are with her !she's not alone.. Dhani then says her bit which causes discomfiture to Viplav, don't you worry Suvarna.. me and vikil babu will definitely give this a thought.. Viplav narrows his eyes at her ,by the looks of things there might be a dissension.. which is exactly what Kanak wants ..
Viplav leaves the room and like a wife who will persuade ,influence her husband to give in to something that in principle he does not agree with.. she tries and he tells her loud and clear as a lawyer he will not get that man released as that man tried to kill them.. the man has no qualms of killing anyone.. however as far as protection goes he has decided Suvarna will live in his house where she will be safe ,he'll have a word with his dada ji.. and much to Kanak's delight she gets her new weapon against Dhani , when she hears Viplav ask for Dhani's word that as from today she would refrain from giving false hopes to Suvarna. Won't talk about getting Tripurari released from prison.. and Kanak watches from the side..that Dhani gives her word to Viplav.. with a sad face.. as she thought Viplav would agree to what she suggested ,especially after seeing the state Suvarna was in in..
Viplav can sense his Dhani is sad..why because her smile seems to have disappeared . He orders her to smile ,or else he will hug her! Kanak though pulls a foul face. Dhani smiles, he tells her to freeze! then takes her photo..shows it to her and she says like a typical female , I look awful! A she wants to know why he took her photo ? he replies, because.. She has the world's greatest smile and now he has captured it forever... and kanak fumes she cannot bear to see their love it makes her sick!..viplav continues to moan as he looks at her smiley picture on his phone, yes I took it all the more because you rarely smile..may be once a month! and dhani sulks and Kanak looks at her son from far ,this Viplav has gone nuts after her that only her smiles appeals to him in the whole world ohh god what lies this girl has taught my son to tell! and Viplav consoles Dhani, ok not a month ,but you smile once week..dhani giggles , you are really mad! and kanak can't stand their lovey dovey act! she marches to them and orders shall we go home then son? and like a good boy he goes, sure...and then tells Dhani to call Suvarna.. but she refuses to go with Viplav as Raj laxmi will be beside her.. Sita mai tells all Dhani is returning and suvarna is fine now. but the widows do worry about Suvarna's safety..
Viplav thanks his mother for informing him and Dhani at the right time and they were able to save her otherwise heaven knows what would have happened..? but it's Viplav's father Shambu who asks his wife the key question.. how come you got there at Suvarna's place at the right time? did you know some was about to happen? she has no answer ..like the cat's got her tongue! Viplav peers at her face intently...
I quite liked today's episode..kanak and her dirty politics, Suvarna's disgrace scene was revolting.. it's was good to see Raj laxmi suddenly return? now I wonder her staying with Suvarna.. makes me wary.. will she team up with trips too..viplav mess up with Dulari was amusing.. but the photo scene I found very funny ,especially Kanak's reaction.. and lastly.. was a bit disappointed , how come it didn't occur to him ,what was his maa doing at Suvarna'splace.. he reflects after Shambu points it out...
