The media has already reported about Prashant Bhatt, the former programming head of Colors launching 'Mastaangi', a television show under a newfangled production house that he started in association with ace director Sanjay Memane.

Now, the latest development coming to the fore is that the show will go on floors on January 18 and will air on the 6:30 pm slot. The love story will be set against the backdrop of a college and will focus on the subject of reincarnation.

Sources inform us, "The makers have roped in Aakash Talwar (Ishq Ka Rang Safed) and Swati Kapoor (Hamari Saas Leela) to portray pivotal roles in the show."

We contacted Swati who confirmed the news, "Yes, the news is true. I will portray the character of Udita, which is totally different from what I have done till now."
