You are faulting the messenger. Such things do happen and the society tends to turn a blind eye because it is not we who get affected, it is usually the poor, the uneducated living in the rural areas who get affected by such atrocities. So what cvs showed today was commendable. They showed us the false values and blind faith is not a good thing.

I dont understand why there is a huge cry on this..Cvs r showing exactly wat atrocities women are facing in the rural areas, with the poor...n this serial was meant to be based on this theme around...about the atrocities n humiliation s this widows face n how Dhaani emerges strong victorious out of this ,being an inspiration to others too..to live their lives on their own terms with full respect n dignity n have a decent place in society...so nothin rong in that!!!Cvs r showing what was actually promised n promoted...

Exactly... As a society we turn a blind eye on
How in these villages and little towns are controlled by
Superstition, goons .. Ect..

It's weird how they follow pandits or peers
Rather than read the holy scriptures themselves..
Like you said.. Most of the time it's because they are illiterate
& have blind faith for these con artists.. No wonder we have terrorism..
:/

Only a couple of years back.. Widows were made to burn alive with
The dead husband.. :/

I'm glad they are showing this..
Life of a widow is hard .. Especially when they are young &
Still have a life to live.. :(

Sometimes it's hard to digest dark side of our ociety...This is what really happens in rural areas, illiterated people are used as a pawn in the name of holy norms.. You can still see people like PC in some other corner of the society.. Whatever they showcased yesterday it's a true face of our society, we can't go back but we need to accept the true fact.. Indeed kudos to Cv's for highlighting most sensitive issues in a flawless manner without any exaggeration..

I hope you realize the writers are neither supporting these wrong things nor making it up. these things happen for real. pushing it under the carpet won't make it go away. see how we are all discussing these topics and I'm sure most of us will never misbehave with a widow ever, some of us might even raise our voice against it. that is the mission of the show.

CVs did an outstanding job in showing whats going on rural areas and how they treat widows. Both Mishal and Eisha nailed it with outstanding performance.
