Ok, seems like a daily visit and post is gonna be tough...moreover, we have some really good analysis and reviews done on a daily basis, anyway, by our talented IKRS friends...
Hence, feel it might be better to put down a weekly summary of my thoughts...so here's from this week onwards...dedicating to all of us...IKRS & ViDha lovers...
"The week that was"...Initiating this post with the first milestone of IKRS - 100 and beyond!š
So, how can I best summarise the past week - "Redemption" or was it "Divine Retribution"??!! "Dawn of a New Era", it is for sure!!
- Viplav and Dhani's misunderstandings had reached a crescendo by the end of last week! Some guy, this Viplav...completely unknown to the depth of his feelings for Dhani...what a magnetic presence despite his silence! Absolutely LOVED Viplav's unwavering gaze on Dhani during the pre-wedding rituals...the dual impact of this being Viplav's steadfast integrity on his word to Dhani. Was definitely a standout moment for me...
- Much has already been written about the Dhani-Viplav call and their actual interaction thereafter. Would like to mention something more in this post...the simplicity and ease of Viplav and Dhani's interactions...the connect between these characters is palpable, including even a showdown! That's probably what the experts refer to as CHEMISTRY! Full marks to Mishal and Eisha for LIVING Viplav and Dhani!!āļøš
- Mixed feelings on the Suv-TT marriage...do realize its a creative liberty to keep the characters alive, the only redeeming fact being Suv at least offering some kind of a warped explanation for screwing up her own life!š
- LOVED the fact that Dhani finally woke up to her grey cells and resisted her mother's neurosis! Good touch here by the CVs in exposing TT. On the other hand, the Safed gang can't have it so easy...remorse is best depicted by actions!
- Now, for the HIGHLIGHT of the week:
No prizes for guessing; has to be the Viplav and Dhani scene in the hospital!š My reasons for the same:
1. Dhani's sincerity in wanting to make amends...was clearly visible; loved the way she said "agar ho sakeh toh maaf kar dena"! Some redemption happening there...
2. Impressively done, the 'matter of fact' "Tum mere saath kyon ruki ho Dhani?" by Viplav. A lot has been invested into Viplav's character really...no hint of malice even in the most trying of situations!š Also, it's only Viplav who can touch a chord while expressing his fears and also appear so wonderfully humane!
3. And finally, a HUMUNGOUS word of APPRECIATION for the 'Burnol' scene! The scene definitely gave us a sense of deja vu, but what stood out for me was the body language of Viplav and Dhani, saw the first glimpse of ViDha happening in those moments. šNow here's why, friends...
- Viplav was fully engrossed in the dressing as Dhani looked on; we've seen that before...towards the end of this tender moment however, the physicality of the closeness between the both dawns on Viplav...just a slight upward gaze without meeting her eyes...the subsequent realization and the hint of awkwardness that follows...Viplav trying to read Dhani, while she looks on...they can't put a finger to it, but something has definitely changed! Viplav and Dhani have moved to level next...it's just a matter of time now!!
- FANTASTIC emoting here by Mishal...this is CRAFT and the guy seems to know his job! Eisha's restraint COMPLEMENTS him beautifully...either of them any lesser, and this CLASSIC ViDha moment could have been lost!!
Did not mention anything separately about the kidnapping sojourn; 2 things stood out though...
- Viplav's "Abhi main jaaon?! How typically him! ššš
- Dhani's reaction on realizing its Viplav...the first glimpse of her comfort transcending to 'ownership', without her even realising it...nice!
So much for my 1st weekly update...sincerely hope everybody enjoys reading it as much as I enjoyed putting this together!š
Comments and Critiques awaited in equal measure...
PS: Although I am initiating this thread this time around, going forward, any and all of our IKRS friends can feel free to put together the weekly updates
