I think the actor is really good.she does a good job of portraying an overwroughgt woman too protective of her daughter and too scared of the big bad society they have have to face on a daily basis. She & Dhani have only each other and i've seen many single Moms obsessed with their kids, she is one of them and she is also always on the edge.
she is a lioness when she fights for dhani & other widows, for eg, today,i liked how she stood upto the panwala. She and Kanak are too different kind of mothers.
Dulhari is also too conservative and any mother who sees her daughter's photo flashed like that in a newspaper will react like that. I've not seen the beating part, hope that's not too violent. I'm not saying she is right in beating up her daughter,IMO, it's natural for her character to blow the top.

actually i think the way she is acting is justified for her role
any mother would react like this and dulaari esp becasue they all are widows
i wish she had some sense...but can't deny that her portrayal by cvs is very realistic

agree with your comment, Dulari is in character even if i don't agree with beating your grown up daughter in public so even some people don't know will arise their curiosity then more people will find out and point fingers...not very clever
