Here we are again. Another day, another show, another rant. I feel like with each passing episode, the characters are competing with each other to see who can be the most annoying for that day. Day one was Viplav, day two we had Dhani emerge as the winner and I'll allow three guesses for figuring out who the day three winner was.. đ
Dadaji aka Guruji is SUCH A CREEP. How can someone turn touching someone's head into a lecherous act is beyond me! This character is a gift that keeps on giving. Every new episode brings out a new layer of disgust that this man's hiding. Maybe one day in the future we can see all the women in his household beat him with chappals to make up for the creepster harkatain he does! Blekh.. đ¤˘
The more I learn about Raj Lakshmi, the more intrigued I get. So she isn't one to blindly follow the customs of "vidwa dharm" and she has no problem questioning those rituals and restrictions as needed. Yet she will definitely not stand up for or with her friends in public if it doesn't suit her self preservation instincts. And now we find out that is unmistakable amused by the fiasco in the ashram once Dhani returns. I do not yet know what to make of the last bit. If she is indeed malicious and enjoyed Dhani get her butt whooped or if she just found it amusing that this was being treated as big issue to begin with.. But if it's the later, I kind of can see where she's coming from. The former, not so much.
And now to the most annoying person of today's show - that HAS to be Dhani's mom. WHAT in the world woman!! Why would you loose your shi* because SOMEONE threw color on Dhani.. How does that suddenly warrant you going into Hulk-on-Loki mode with Dhani..? Like I can understand if it was just motherly concern that was coming out as anger initially. But then it just KEPT GOING and once that happened, I really couldn't understand WHY she was this mad. How was it anyone's fault.. And how did that warrant Dhani dying in a miscarriage (what a TERRIBLE thing to say to your kid..)!? Dramatic much! *rolls eyes* Calm down woman. It's just color, and it's just a white sari. The color can wash off Dhani and you can buy a new plain white sari. Not. The. End. Of. The. World. Even if it was a "sin" like the mom kept harping, the sin was DONE. It was already COMMITTED. Toh why was she throwing a tantrum NOW, with the not eating and the not talking.. As if that was going to undo anything. Ridiculous. That "anger" lasted half a day longer than it should have. Made me lose a lot of respect for the mother. I don't think I can trust her to act mature in the future ever.. I just wish she had handled this better. -_-
And this time I agree with Dhani. I didn't agree with how she refused the utara from Viplav (she could have been a little more polite, it really wasn't his FAULT that he was offering her something everyone else was dying to get their hands on) but I do not disagree with her statement that she has all the right to refuse anyone for anything! That is her prerogative, HER decision. If she didn't want to give him prasad in the morning and didn't want to take his utara in the evening, that is HER CHOICE. And she is ALLOWED to make it. That does not justify what Viplav did. But of course, as per the show ANYTHING goes as far as a widow is concerned. Eh.
And Viplav. Man you deserve a slap upside the head. I wonder if he feels he is allowed to act this way around Dhani and demand all this undeserved respect from her simply because she's a widow.. Or if he'll act this way around any girl/man/woman/child he sees. For some reason he's gotten it in his thick skull that he DESERVES to be respected and obeyed. Why he thinks that, I don't know. Whether he thinks that he deserves that respect and obedience from just the vidwa Dhani or from ALL of society is something I'm curious about. I just want to see how deep these delusions of grandeur go. And I am looking FORWARD to when these are shattered (from the precap it looks like the cracks in said delusions start to happen soon). If we were to forget for a second that Dhani is a widow then this is what has happened so far. Viplav has approached a girl in a semi-alcohol induced state and asked her for her age. When she refused, he has gotten upset. Then he has seen her again in the next few hours and offered her prasad which she somewhat rudely refused. Viplav is understandably offended but then he has THROWN COLOR on her in retaliation and then refused to own up to it. And when the girl, drenched in color, gets verbally upset at his friends' and his obnoxiousness, Viplav gets upset AGAIN. And then time he will sneak up to her unsuspecting self AS SHE PRAYS and mess with her prayer items. WHY THE HELL MAN. Who died and made you king?! Why would you be messing around with random girls you have known all of 24 hours simply because they are not treating you like the hottest thing on this planet. Like honestly. WHAT. THE. HECK. Anyone else acting like this with any random girl would get 2 chamats from me. -_- It's no surprise that Dhani says she would not give Viplav the time of day even if she wasn't a widow. I wouldn't either.
Viplav. I am genuinely looking forward to you turn into a man. And I will greatly enjoy your road to said manhood with popcorn and chips. You have earned everything coming your way. And more.
It seems that all the characters have justified reasons to be upset at one point or another, but each of them expresses that anger in the most ridiculously childish ways. Dhani was justified in being upset with Viplav hounding her, but then she had to be rude to him when he was just politely offering her prasad. VIplav was justified in being offended by her rudeness but then had to mess around with her physically by throwing color on her and messing with her prayer items. Dhani's mom is justified in being upset/worried for her daughter but then she goes way too far in her anger and says/does a bunch of nonsense that was not warranted. All this is making me suspect that these characters are incapable of handling tough situations like mature adults.. Lol, my 12 year old sister showed more sensibility than these guys. And that's saying A LOT.
The only person with no excuse on this planet is Dadaji. That creepster has lost all credibility.
Oh and before I go, how sweet were the Viplav's dad and his sister's interactions at the dinner table. They almost looked like a normal family sans the mom's presence. Even the Dadiji was sweet. I wish we got to see more of these two. =)
