But if the Rhea hand was uncovered by Kartik & the Police what was the necessity for Aahan to playact to trap Rhea? Does that mean Aahan was not playacting but actually intending to marry Rhea, until the police came & revealed her face? Which would mean Aahan did not trust Ishqi!

We can't be sure of that for now.

We don't know if Ishqaan got to know about FIR when Ishqi came because Ishqi is patiently standing with Masi there, I don't think police has disclosed everything jitna ismei dikhaya hai wahan tha.

I believe Ahaan aur Kartik ka plan tha and Ahaan was waiting for the police and thats why he grabs Mehta asap because Kartik ko bhi pehle Mehta pe shaq tha, they must have discussed it.

Saw another interesting theory on Twitter- somebody reckons Ahaan was blackmailed that he should marry Rhea else Ishqi would be harmed.

Ordinarily, I'd have discarded the theory (it would make Rhea a villain in his eyes), but it ties in with Ahaan's dialogue in the previous episode that "I can do anything for your safety"
