Seems so. Ishqi looks quite shocked when Ahaan reacts to something Maasaji said and looks at her in response. Maybe a comment that reveals to him that this is not the first time the guy is abusing his wife and Ishqi? Because that could make sense to Ahaan in realizing why Ishqi is always so desperate to be independent and take care of her family, and why losing her jobs mattered so much.

Yes and he would remember the time when maasi was in hospital.

Did masaji always come home to beat them up only?? I haven't watched properly from the beginning. He was never present in any functions of Ishqi's wedding. Did noone ask about him? In home also usually only masi and Ishqi are there. Moreover what does he do?
