Doesn't make sense - Mayank should be trying to cancel the wedding

Didn't he say he was getting married to Ishqi to make Sonu jealous? And then they threw a revenge crap. Whatever the end result is, he is not interested in marrying Ishqi, so why is he not doing anything to break the wedding?

I guess lot of things don't make sense on ITV, but at least villain ka motive toh dhyan mein rakho. And as per the sneak peek if Ishqi is going to call off wedding due to some new found secret about Mayank that she came to know now, it probably would make sense if they show Mayank intended her to know it. Otherwise creative writing is god knows where.

He was trying to get back to Sonu but she did not give him bhav so he just wants revange. He doesn't care if he is married to Ishqi or not, he anyways will keep cheating on her. If he cancels wedding now, it will affect his image so he is going forward with wedding.

Or maybe he says something to Ishqi where he knows she might be compelled to break the wedding and so the onus is on her rather him.

I am actually banking on him purposefully exposing one of his secrets that would make her call off the wedding. Nothing major though. Because if major truth comes, Sonu's wedding will not happen.

I think now it doesn’t matter to him whether he gets married to Ishqi or not. All that matters is he wants to cancel Sonu’s wedding.
