Ofcourse it's your thread so your rules.
I would just make one statement here that facts are not subject to debate or discussions theories are. You story is fictional and your own theory.

While Vyasa's instructions for the polyandrous marriage are fact of the epic.

Drauapdi was indeed Arjun's Patni, but she was also already decided/destined to be Patni for his four brothers too.

Arjun was very aware of this important fact before he wore the garland that Drauapdi will be common wife of Pandavas.

Arjun had also accepted this fact without any reservations or protest before he wore that garland that Drauapdi will be common wife of Pandavas.

So if at all anyone is at fault here, it would be Arjun for not informing Drupad or Drauapdi that hold on, garland my brothers first. He eventually says that later - possibly Kunti reminds him with that alms drama tactfully what needs to be done.

the celestials all took up their respective weapons. Yama, took up the deadly mace, and Kubera his spiked club, and Varuna his noose and beautiful missile.
And Skanda (Kartikeya) took up his long lance and stood motionless like the mountain of Meru. The Aswins stood there with resplendent plants in their hands

. Dhatri stood, bow in hand, and Jaya with a thick club. Tvashtri of great strength took up in wrath, a huge mountain and Surya stood with a bright dart, and Mrityu with a battle-axe.

Aryaman stalked about with a terrible bludgeon furnished with sharp spikes, and Mitra stood there with a discus sharp as a razor. And, O monarch, Pusha and Bhaga and Savitri, in wrath, rushed at Krishna and Partha with bows and scimitars in hand.

And Rudras and the Vasus, the mighty Maruts and the Viswedevas and the Sadhyas, all resplendent with their own energy,--these and many other celestials, armed with various weapons rushed against Krishna and Partha, for smiting them down.

. But Arjuna and Krishna, fearless and invincible in battle

Watching Indra and the other celestials prepared for fight, they calmly waited, bows in hands.

Soon the battle got intensified...Arjun resisted them with full vigour. Gandiv danced in his hands. No one knew when he took the arrow and when he released it. The shower of arrows covered the skies and it appeared like the yugant is on the verge...

Krishna looked at his friend beaming with pride. The victory march will continue to Kurukshetra. he sighed with relief.

The celestials repeatedly routed by Krishna and Arjuna, at last left the field of battle for fear and sought the protection of Indra.

Suka stopped to take breath. Every one gave thunderous applause ..Bheem patted on Pari's back and said. Such is our valour...you should live up to expectations. ..

Pari smiled and promised.. I will

Arjun asked Suka to take rest and continue the next day. But his wives protested in one voice. No..we want to hear how Indra got defeated..

Pari had a mischievous expression on his face. Now his Pitamah can not stop the narration. Krishna pulled Arjun down...now sit and enjoy..Let Pari sleep happily to nite...

Satya retorted tongue in cheek.. Along with your valour the tension we felt also should be narrated. What do you say Panchali...

Yajnaseni nodded her head. How could she forget those days...the blazing fire, the crackling sounds, the thunder rains...
Subhadra agreed.. Satya bhabhi..You are right. Both of them made us lose our sleep..I remember how we used to wake up till the early hours waiting for news of them.
Satya confronted Arjun. Why did you order your commanders to stay back..They refused to cross your words despite my warnings..
Arjun shrugged his shoulders. They are sens8ble..I must say. They know whose word they have to follow.

Satya made a face and tried to say something but Arjun turned to Krishna and said. Don't look at her ...She will dig the past... is it necessary..

Suka took his seat and continued..

However Indra was far from accepting defeat. He was after all the king of the Devas. He could not let two humans, no matter who they are to defeat him.

Indra repeatedly tried every single astra he could lay his hands on. But all his efforts were in vain. Krishna and Arjuna neutralized every single weapon he could throw at them.

Indra began to have a grudging respect for the two warriors as he fought them.

Indra tore open mountain peaks and threw it at the two of them, only for the mountain rocks to explode even before it reached anywhere near the Khandava forest. Such was the aim of Arjuna.

Indra even threw tree trunks at them. It did not matter to Arjuna whether his father threw any mountain or trees at him. He just destroyed it all with a single minded efficiency.

Indra was losing and he knew it. He had tried everything. but all of it had failed Shall he use Vajra ...he pondered.. It was at that time that a heavenly voice was heard.

"INDRA! THE DESTRUCTION OF THE KHANDAVA FOREST WAS DESTINED TO HAPPEN NOW. YOUR FRIEND TAKSHAK IS SAFE AND HE IS NOT IN THE KHANDAVA FOREST. NO ONE CAN DEFEAT KRISHNA AND ARJUNA. STOP THE BATTLE NOW!"

Krishna and Arjuna had also heard the voice. They waited. the dark clouds surrounding the forests looked menacing and angry. What would happen? Would Indra listen to the heavenly voice or would he continue the fight. They waited.

And then suddenly everything stopped.

The sky which looked dark was now gone. The sun came out shining brightly. The place which smelt of thunder and lighting was now all gone.

The friends hugged each other and laughed. They had fought against the Lord of the Devas and had won!

The fire raged on and on brilliantly, with nothing to stop it!

Krishna and Arjuna looked up into the skies. Indra, was himself coming down from the heavens majestically on his royal elephant the Airavatha.

Krishna and Arjuna realized that Indra was looking proud and happy. He was not here to fight. Looking at each other, they nodded and put down their weapons. They bowed to Indra. Indra got down and looked at the two of them with pride.

"You two are the greatest warriors in the world. I had to meet the two of you personally. I am so proud to see how you stood up against me and succeeded." Indra said it sincerely without a trace of regret.

Arjuna felt proud of himself. His father caught his shoulders and told him, "You have made me proud of you, my son! For what you have done. I will give you every single weapon, I have and the knowledge of how to use it."

Arjuna looked at Indra with his heart fluttering. This was the dream come true for any warrior. He breathed and fell at Indra's feet.

Indra lovingly picked up his son and embraced him. He then turned to Krishna. He looked at Krishna, who was having his Sudarshana Chakra in one of his hand and his mace in the other hand.

Behind the forest fire raged on and on. Indra folded his hands before Krishna.

Krishna nodded to Indra and said, ", there is is something you can do for me."
Indra looked at Krishna and fervently nodded his head, "Anything!"

Krishna smiled, "I have always been friends with Arjuna. What I feel for him is almost greater than friendship. He is a part of me. I wish that our friendship stays forever and is always remembered by everyone."

Nara and Narayana. Arjuna and Krishna. The inseparable duo. What could he do in this matter..he wondered.
Indra felt grateful to Krishna. Despite winning against him, Krishna still had the courtesy to treat him like the King of the Devas. He nodded his head, "So be it!" He whispered and vanished from there.

Krishna and Arjuna watched the forest fire, waiting for any more attacks. Krishna spotted somebody inside the fire. The person was trying to escape the fire and had succeeded! The person went over the fire.

Krishna narrowed his eyes, the man was an asura! Angrily he picked up his Sudarshana Chakra and was about to hurl it. The man rushed forward and fell at Arjuna's feet. "Arjuna! Please. please save me from the fire and Krishna! I may be an asura but I am not an evil man. Please! I will always be indebted to you. Please protect me."

Arjuna looked at the man and did not say anything, Krishna still looked at him with his Sudarshana Chakra ready.

Arjuna studied the man. The man looked like he was a very learned man. He also looked like a great devotee of Lord Shiva, despite being an Asura. Such a man did not deserve to die in this fire which killed demons and monsters.

Arjun thought for a while and turned to Krishna. "Krishna! Please leave the man alone. I do not think, he deserves to be killed in the fire. "

Krishna smiled and lowered his Sudarshana Chakra. He identified the man whom Arjuna had saved but he did not say anything

.Now that Agni was sure that Indra would not stop him, he blazed on and on and the fire actually raged for fourteen days! Nothing from the forest escaped. The only survivors of the forest were Takshak, who was not there at the time of the fire, his son Ashwasena, the asura Maya whom Arjuna had protected, and a few Saranga birds.

[The young ones of the Saranga birds were in the nest, as the fire raged. Not sure of what to do, the young chicks, prayed to Lord Agni to spare their lives. It is said that Agni was so impressed with their devotion that he did not harm them. The fire washed over them, but not a feather on their body was burnt by the fire!]

The man whom Arjuna had saved, looked at the two friends. After the fire was over, he turned to talk to them, "Arjuna! I am indebted to you! I need to clear your debt."
Arjuna shook his head. He had not saved the man expecting anything in return.

However Krishna nudged him, "Arjuna! You are talking to Maya. Maya the Asura!"

Arjuna blinked. Maya was the greatest architect in the world. He was the architect of countless structures from a bygone era. Most of Maya's structures still existed in the world.

Arjuna looked at Maya's old, majestic face and tired lines around it and felt a greater degree of respect for the man. But he still did not expect anything from the man. He looked at Krishna, wondering what to do.

Krishna smiled and looked at Arjuna, "He is a great man, Arjuna! If he wants to serve his debt, you have to give him a chance.

Then Krishna ordered Maya. Come to Indraprastha .. you have to build a beautiful exclusive palace there. Alongside you should rebuild The Royal palace and harem ...prove your creative skills. The Mayasabha should be the talk of the fourteen worlds..

The fourteenth day sunset brought so much relief to everyone who camped on the bank of the river.Loud noises of celebration alerted royal ladies who are too tensed up not knowing about the war happenings...
By the time Panchali came out to the wider space that leads to the forest already Satya's voice reverberated around.. See..they have come...Panchali...

The whole camp assembled there to greet the friends. The commanders of Arjuna are bowing down heads bent standing on both sides of the path..

Hail Krishna Vasudev..the god incarnate..Victory unto the greatest warrior of Aryavarth..Rajkumar Arjuna...the shouts of excitement reached the skies..

The Devine bow greeted every one around.. People found Gandiv Dhari Arjun so majestic ...they both look made for each other..

Parikshit stood up and shouted..Hail my Pitamah Gandiv Dhari Arjun and jaya Krishna Vasudev..

Suka also stood with a smiling face..He found the prince so endearing...as he watched him run to Arjun and Krishna

Chitra clapped and exclaimed How thrilling the whole event is..I wish I would have been there to take part...

Arjun pretended innocence and asked " To assist me in the battle..he questioned.

Chitra's face turned red but Alli is quick to retort... Ofcourse..why not..we both together would have made a formidable team..

Ulupi laughed and said. By good fortune you were not there then..Arya Arjun s concentration would have been in danger..

Arjun appreciated Ulupi with a nod and said.. Yes..they would have disrupted me..by all means.

Krishna patted his back and laughed sensing the hidden meaning..

Satya defiantly declared. Definitely if I happened to be with them..Agnidev would have burnt the Khandava forest in less than fourteen days...

Arjun shrugged his shoulders and said.. Yes..even I heard the same from people..had Satya Devi the valorous queen of Krishna been there..she would have defeated the gods..in a split second..

The way he said that with a sneer made Satya grumble...and all others laugh uproariously

Parikshit clasped Arjun's waist and asked looking up with admiration.. When will I get my Gandiv...

Arjun got tears in his eyes. Parikshit disappeared and Abhi stood in his place.' Pitasri..I want my own Gandiv...like you got it..Abhi's voice still rang in his ears.

Krishna pressed his shoulder and lifted Pari to reach up to Arjun. Pari hugged him closer making him come out of his sorrow..

Panchali reminisces.

She stood back looking at the triumphant duo.She got tears in her eyes that blurred her vision. By then the whole war incident is narrated by enthusiastic army men who got information from local foresters.

Subhadra rushed forward and hugged her brother and Arjun together.

She shouted with joy..So proud of you both..you did a great job..

Satya shook their hands in glee..What a great victory..over Indra..awesome Swami..Arjun..she applauded.

Kalindi approached them and praised. No words to praise your valour.Proud Of you both..she exclaimed.

Panchali stood stoic.overcome by her emotions.Only one month back she reconciled with him.She still is inhibited to get closer to him in public place..also she is not the wife of him alone..

Arjun s eyes locked with her eyes for a Kshan..It is enough for him to gauze through the inner depths of her heart..
