Yes Dear, completely agree with you regarding the TRP factor. They didn't care for it and thus maintained the high level content of this show.

The series is available on YouTube, can't thank them enough for it. Now it has become so easy for Anyone to watch any episode acc to his/ her convenience!!

Yes, the use of stage, lighting and thus creating the whole atmosphere for the storyline - is so different from the serials we normally watch on television!!

Gaurishankar and his son- both are so bright characters! They make us think... The son with his Creativity and the father with his Wisdom!!

I really liked the way they presented the quest for the Inner Self and also urging the audience to do so!! This is the highlight of the show, for me 😊

Ughhh I was going to wait on replies because I just finished episode 23, the glory of the human birth as conveyed through the life of Tulsidasji and LOVED it sooo much that I wanted to share a bunch of dialogues with y'all, but the browser crashed and all my mehnat went down the drain :( First I was in tears because of the beauty of the episode, and now because of the stupid internet!

oh!!!! 😔...

This hapened to me just a while ago, when I was typing my reply to Aishu... first time the page just vanished after I nearly completed my reply 😔... So typed it second time 😊

For now you can just share the main essence of the dialogue and later post it here 😊

This reminded me of another fav scene where Darashikoh talks with the spiritual guru in Varanasi ⭐️... Will come to that in my future posts...

Upanishad Ganga is the best spiritual show I've ever watched on TV and is matchless!

The 52 episodes telecasted were really very very precious.Great work by the organisers(Chinmaya Mission).It took nearly 2 years for them to compile these 52 episodes!

I avoided Television when this show ended and erased all the content in my mind that was recorded after watching other popular mytho shows.

To make something related to spirituality one needs to go deep into the basic concept with the help of a spiritual guide ,understand them and live them.I can find this here in(Upanishad Ganga).

Vedas,Upanishads also Ramayan,Bhagavad Gita,Mahabharat,puranas etc. have many spiritual concepts sometimes given as metaphors and parables.If one takes them as it is then totally a different,irrelevant meaning is produced.

Show makers should realize this before they plan to make a Mythological/spiritual show.It is useless showing these concepts without maintaining the spiritual essence (already present in them).

I wish that everyone assimilates the essence of Upanishads after watching this show.😊

THis show was originally shown on DD National, last year. Now it is being repeated on DD India, every Sunday 1:30- 2:00 pm.

Watched part 5 and 6 and thought to share the details here, as those two episodes contain the cream of the lessons taught to us by the Vedas.

These two episodes tell us about the eldest son of Shehjahan- Darashikoh, who was devoted to spirituality. As a result of that we can see that even when facing his death also, he remained calm with the Knowledge of Atman present in him. WE see him meeting his spiritual Guru- Miya Mir, who explain to him that all the religions tell us about the SAME Truth, and also tells him to persue more into the world of spirituality by immersing himself in Vedas, and translating it into Persian.

To know more about the vedas, upanishadas, Darashikoh now goes to Baba Laaldas in Kashi and here we have great great words of Wisdom from the Saint!! He explains ro Darashikoh that Vedas have answers to all the questions about life. Vedas help us to know, undersstand and realise the Truth. He also tells him about the division of the four vedas (Rik, Sama, Yaju and Atharva) by Veda Vyas. Also about the classification ofthe vedas into Karm kand, gyan kand and Upasana kand.

In Kashi Darashikoh also meets other saints also who explain to him that Purity / Spirituality have always esteemed highly by all in this Indian subcontinent. The same soul is present in all the beings of the universe. This knowledge itself is treasured in each generation in India. And even if a person forgets it, the saints/ fakirs remind him about the truth thr' their songs and talks. The eternal qs- 'Who am I? Why have I come to this earth? what is the purpose of this life?'- these questions have always paved the way for soul searching in all of us.
