One a side note, I am rewatching the show again while exercising and I finished up to episode 5.
I can't even describe how much I love these beginning episodes. The introduction to the epic was so beautiful and I loved how they began with Dashrath returning from battle, only to be faced with the truth that he was childless.🥺 The Putrakameshti yagna, Ram's birth, his childhood, and Sita's birth were all filmed so well that I don't think anyone could have taken these scenes any better. I loved Pankaj Kalra's acting, and the three queens were also at their best. Even the baby who played Ram was perfect, he's a natural actor!😲😆 That baby must be around five or six years old now, since he was one during 2008. I wonder if his parents ever show him episode three in which he was the star.😆
The only blooper of course is that Sita's and Ram's ages don't match in this show, but it's easy to overlook because the children who played them were so perfect.
It's always nice to see the beginning of Ramayan.😊 I don't know how to explain it, but if you compare the atmosphere of episode 1 and episode 300, it is very distinct!😳 Episode 300 has that divine yet sad feeling to it, because Lord Ram is returning to his divine abode and the show has come to an end, whereas episode 1 has a magical and gripping feel which makes you eager to watch more and more. It immediately makes you feel interested in the storyline though we already know what will happen throughout the epic.
I am so grateful for this show! In my opinion it's the best mythological show of the 21st century.👏 No other show I have seen or am watching can match its standards. I am truly in awe whenever I see it. It never gets boring and I also feel like I learn something new each time.😳

Interesting Question! Ravana's Devotion was offcoarse great and he proved it by even offering his Precious 10 Heads to him!
But though Ravana was a Great devotee of Shiva, he did all that Penance to get boons and become powerful, He did not want to attain Moksha by praising Shiva but his only motive was to to spread Adharma all over!
And as we know, Ravana performed intense Taps to please shiva but when Shiva did not appear he cut of his 10 heads one by one and offered them to sacrifical fire! Shiva, seeing the intense devotion for him got pleased and became bounded to give him a boon. But instead of this Shiva also wanted the world to be saved by the adharma of Ravana. So he has put a condition, with every sacrifised Head of Ravana, He has satisfied and pleased only one Rudra of Shiva! Means Shiva was bounded to Ravana with only his 10 Rudras. Ravan can easily recognise seeing the 10 Rudras that they are the incarnation of his Ishtadev Shiva and even those first 10 Rudrs can't do any bad to Ravan!
Shiva specially has taken the 11th incarnation as Hanumaan for Ravana .This 11th Rudra is devoid of any Sacrifice offered by Ravana to Shiva. Neither Ravan can recognise him nor Shiva is bounded not to Harm Ravana in this 11th Rudra.
This is the Reason for why Ravana didnt Recognize his Isht Dev and Hanumaan ultimately became the major reason for the destruction of Ravana and complete Demon Empire!! :)

Oh wow, thanks for this information Varnita. I never knew this!Shocked Is this story from Shiva Puraan? I knew Hanuman was the 11th form of Lord Shiva but I did not know the other 10 forms were somehow connected to Ravan. I guess now it makes sense that Ravan did not recognize Lord Hanuman, but still I think a true devotee would have.😳 After all, all the Maharishis of Dandakaranya and Chitrakoot recognized Lord Ram as Vishnu because their devotion was pure and selfless. So they were able to see through his human form though Shri Ram behaved like a human every step of his life.
I do think Ravan's devotion to Lord Shiva was at one point real, but I think the greatness diminished over time because of his ego. After all, pride comes before downfall so I think he lost his spiritual energy as he dishonored women and killed sages. Lord Shiva could never condone such actions right? So like you said, he took his 11th avatar as Lord Hanuman and had a part in Ravan's downfall, and because of his arrogance Ravan could not recognize the God who stood in front of him.
